The Sinai Nuclear Disaster

The Sinai Nuclear Disaster was an incident that happened December 27, 2023, when the Indian Armed Forces mistakenly filled the fuel tanks of a T-90S "Bishma" MBT with Plutonium-239 instead of diesel. At 03:12 UTC the Indian T-90S tank was shot by a Leopard 2A7V with a DM33 APDSFS projectile, which pierced the armor and hit one of the fuel tanks causing the plutonium to undergo spontaneous fission. The result was a 10-20 Kt nuclear explosion that destroyed the battlefield and all the vehicles at the site. The area was heavily contaminated and the incident was regarded as one of the worst nuclear disasters in history. India claimed a victory on the conflict as they have technically destroyed all the enemy forces.
