I know, my friend can consistently pen the mantlet of a Panther and when I do it in a IS-2 (with the best. shell), it completely eats it the round with no repercussions
@@fabiandialer1715 my friend runs the same line up too and what not, still kills panther through mantlet. Mines a gamble, and 80% of the time, even on the least angled part of mantlet, wont go through

2:32 in eastern europe we call this РПУ (Режим Персонального Угнетения) which means personal oppression mode. it's when your shells constantly don't pen and bounce when they're supposed to pen and other stuff like that. there's a theory that if a player does too good, gaijin enables the mode (also if a player does too bad, gaijin enables the mode in a way, that every other players will be РПУ'd towards the player that does bad)
dont worry, I ghost shelled 3 times in a row on a single tank and non penned on the side of a T-34-85 cuz it touched the wooden box that rests on one of the track covers. POM is def real
I still remember to this day when a hit from an enemy tank touched the .50 cal on my tank and destroyed me. There was no explosion or magic JFK bullet that went into my tank. The round hit the .50cal and ricocheted into the sky but still caused me to blow up instantly. edit: Mind you the .50cal was on the top of my tank and only attached by the pole or essentially the only part that connects the .50cal to the tank but allows the gunner to swivel the gun.
The last one is a known issue that works this way. When you hit two armor plates in between their joints that means you hit the spot a 150mm and 200mm plate Connect each other their armor equivalent will add up meaning it's over 350mm of armor you hit there. Volumetric armor fixes that.
Volumetric shells “worked” like this kinda right? Meaning bigger the shell, more chance you hit overlapping plates and just got your shell bounced Big pain

If you get shot, it's an absolutely massive explosion.

I was being rammed by a T34 the other day and we were legit spinning around each other try to get the flank shot and no shit had 2 rounds bounce point blank like at 1:45. He somehow managed to get the lucky shot, I immediately RTH and uninstalled. I have known peace ever since

Had a allied KV tank somehow accidentally exploded his gun barrel near me and the blast instantly vaporized my tank crew.......and he also somehow magically killed a enemy at the same time edit I was talking about how back than you can legit shot and kill your teammates with your gun but they updated that although we can still Arty kill our own allied thou.
