For those wondering, that means you have to knock out 28 of the same Pokémon with respective bracer, if you want to max a specific stat. You’re welcome. 252/9 = 28.
only 28 wow i was expecting way more, thanks this is super useful i was about to ask this question haha
How would you know which pokemon to KO anyway?
Thanks bro
@@upsidedownmachiatto2670 Search up any pokemon and their ev yield and it should tell you
That's why my Kingbambit has his attack stay nearly maxed out? I was trying for ages to evolve him and constantly attacking other Bisharps.
This video has the best explanation for EVs for someone who doesn't know what EVs even are. I'll definitely share this with anyone who wants to get into competitive Pokemon. As a long time Pokemon fan, well done
I thought this as well, this is the first time I’ve been interested in EV’s and what they stood for, and I enjoyed his explanation
Hei bro can i ask, so i want ev train my charcadet HES lvl 1, better i evolve him to ceruledge first or doing ev train first?
@@vvrehah Doesn't matter.
@@AbdallahSmash ty bro
Does EV training with the medicine work online? Because I’ve been hearing it doesn’t work unless I EV train manually by knocking out pokemons
Thanks again for watching! Be sure to watch PART 2 to learn about Natures, IVs, and Hyper Training: ruclips.net/video/TBH5oDqwjKI/видео.html
Here are a few tips based on some common questions I saw in the comments:
1. Auto-Battling via Let's Go Mode *DOES NOT* Give EV Points.
2. If you're looking for Pokemon earlier than access to the Inlet Grotto, battle Shinx for Attack EVs, Fletchling for Speed EVs, and Psyduck for Special Attack EVs.
Thank you very much for the explanation! I'd mostly used the accelerated methods of EV training in prior games (Super Training in Gen 6 and Poke Pelago in Gen 7), and I'm very thankful to learn that EV training the old-fashioned way in Gen 9, what with Power items and being able to selectively aggro what EV training targets in the overworld I wanna battle, is much faster than I initially thought. Plus, the visual analogy for the concept of EV training was spot-on. All the props!
I knew all of this and just wanted something Pokemon related playing in the background, but I wanted to stop and give you a compliment. This is hands down the clearest and most thorough explanation I have ever seen. I'm going to be sending this to my kids because you taught it better than I could!
This video has actually made making my teams in game feel possible, I don’t do well with logical thinking, so having physical things and the way you talk slower than a lot of RUclipsrs has helped me out a ton. Thanks
Love that you made this as simple as possible for everyone to understand this was a very helpful video keep ‘em coming!
I've always wanted to play wifi battles but I was always afraid my pokemon were never going to be as viable as the competition. This video has helped a lot. Hope to see you online :)
The competitive pokemon scene has always been super intimidating for me to break into but I've always wanted to. This guide was really well done!
Highly recommend you check smogon and pokemons howdown. Fastest way to learn about the meta, IV and EV spreads, tiers, etc
Hehe, he said intimidate
Hehe, he said intimidate
I’ve only ever understood IVs, so thank you for making sense of EVs because that’s where I was always lacking competitively 🙂💜
Thank you for this video! I’m new to Pokémon since Arceus and I’m still trying to learn what to do with everything I’m picking up while riding around or buying from stores. This was very helpful!
I wanted to drop a comment to say that I have never seriously or competitively played Pokémon, and haven't seriously played any of the entries in the series since Pokémon Black in 2010. When I first started Pokémon Violet, I felt like a lot of the tips & tutorial videos on this playlist were going to be over my head and too much info before I got familiar with the world.
Now that I'm past Area Zero & the main story, I felt like checking out some of this EV training I'd heard about. I read a few guides (without much gained) before popping in to check out this video, and you deserve SO MANY props for delivering this information in a very easy to understand way, and making it all as easy as possible to navigate. I came into this knowing 0 about EVs, how they worked, why they mattered, and what to do to acquire them. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Thank you very much, great video, you're out here doing the Professor's work 😋😂
This was very helpful, thank you for taking the time to make it. Loved how you used the Snorlax mug as visual aid.
Thank you! I'm still relatively new to this side of Pokemon games and I was always a bit confused about EV/IV, this definitely helped!!
Best tutorial by far, most of the tutorials are 1hour grinding items to sell for vitamins to Ev train, you just made me have a full 6 team max EV’s team in like 3 or 2 hour’s and usually the 1hour grind from the other videos was to get enough for 2 Max EV’s per pekomen so I’d say it’s pretty worth it.
man I stumbled on this video by a thread online, I remember watching you as a kid and good to see 6 yrs later you're still at it
Great video! I really didn't need the explanation of what EVs are or anything because I've been playing Pokemon a long time but I'm so glad you gave such a clear explanation and I hope it causes more people to get into competitive battling as a result. I was hoping there would be a faster EV training method than using bracers and fighting Pokemon (I miss the bags from gen 6 a lot right now) but this seems like it won't be too bad. Thanks for the info!
Perfect video. Made sense of something i’ve struggled with for years to understand! Thanks a lot!
Thanks so much for the helpful guide! I’ve been wanting to train my little Deino before he evolves and this worked like a charm!
My 3rd video of yours and I appreciate how full and through you are. Def earned a sub 👌🏽
This was like the 5th video I watched and the first one that made sense. Thank you
How does this video not have more views?! Literally the best and easiest to understand guide. Thanks, subscribed!
From episode 9 😄 I bought my scarlet yesterday 🤩 Thank you for all the information and advice👍
If you build a picnic right next to or over an item, you'll get that item almost limitlessly in the basket. That would help you gather the EV reset berries.
I'll have to test that out!
Yes do this with two pokemon that can't breed(ex: 2 males) use a lvl 1 egg power sandwich wait about 10 minutes and you'll receive around 8-10 of that said ground item.
like pokeball items on the ground or the sparkle items?
Thank you for this video! I never understood this stuff but now I do!!
Amazing video, Abdallah!!!
Thank you so much for explaining things the way you do
Best explanation on the subject that I've seen. Thank you for that thorough explanation !
Thank you! This is the best explanation on EV i've seen
Dude I remember watching your videos when you did tutorials for Smash 4, jeez does time fly, but glad to be back watching the channel!
Best guide I’ve ever seen to explain EVs, thanks!
Abdallah thank you so much for this video, I have tried so many other guides and I couldn’t understand how this stuff worked but now you have taught me and I am ready to get my shiny maxed out mimikyu (mimikyu is my favourite Pokémon)
Amazing video! You have made the layout so perfect, I already know the stuff at the start so separating all the individual locations is so helpful (none of the Pokémon are game specific are they? Lol)
This is an amazing video. Presentation? Excellent. Information? Perfect. Demonstration? Above and beyond. Time stamps?!?!? ✔️.. I mean all in all truly thee perfect video for a guide to ev training. Thank you!
Very great put together video and definitely helped me understand this which I haven’t been able to for so long. You’ve gained a sub from me
This was by far the best video I watched. Thank you I finally understand it after 5 freaking videos!!
Glad to help!
This explanation is phenomenal and kept me engaged. Keep it up.
Thank you, Professor Abdallah
Thank you for this video. I completed the game a couple weeks ago and wanted to lean about EVs
Oh my god i didn’t even know the berries were useful in the game! Man this isn’t as complicated as i thought it was going to be! Great video!
Just spent the whole day breeding azumarill for the charizard raid and your guide help me learn this game’s breeding mechanics
Awesome!
Brilliant guide answered all my questions thanks bro ! 😅
Awesome video loved how detailed it is i was wondering how to level up my stats this hit the target 😆
You can also use picnic item trick for berries. Where you place the picnic down and have the basket on the ground hovering over the berry items. Just make sure to save before picking up berry items so you can reload game and place picnic down properly. It will generate berries every 3-4 mins while you go do something else. He actually has a video on this for $ in Pokémon as well.
This was such a great tutorial! Thank you!
Thatnk you ive been ev training a torkoal and needed to know what pokemon to get hp and def
Outstanding tutorial as always and I love the visual aids!
Hopefully you got all those energy cards outa the mug before the next bucket fill-up though? Otherwise, I guess it might have been some interesting added flavor, but on the plus side it's also plenty of extra fiber?!
You can buy the berries in the auction house in Porto Marinada aswell :)
True, but not reliable though.
Thank you very much for EV training explanation, I'll look forward for hyper training and pokemon nature guides.
Soon! Just finished it, so keep an eye on the playlist!
Caught a random shiny tarountula and lechonk while doing this, nice! Goodbye forever, luck.
Also while doing this, I realized you can just click remember move, get rid of whatever move you're consistently using to knock out the low level mons, then remember it and it'll have full PP so you don't have to waste trips to a poke center or items. People probably already know this, but I just found out so I figured I'd share for other people like me.
Extremely helpful! Appreciated.
Thinks for the video my man I'm starting to get a better understanding
I feel like people like to think that each Pokémon gives just 1 e.v but i feel like they give more than one ev on a stat; that’s why I’m in love with the mocchi
Thank you so much for this Guide dude! I have subscribed!
Hi I just wanted to say great video! This helped me so much and it was so simple to understand. I have a question tho are you still able to do EV training with the quick battling mechanic?
Came here to learn and I’m now distracted by the cup and must go buy one now
Love how he has an example with the Pokémon cards
Wasn't that clever? I had stuffed plushies I was going to use!
Here from episode 9! Never tried comp but i might just now!
Did not know about the berrys thanks man
Thanks for the guide! Btw does it work if you knock out the pokemon by sending out your pokemon with R?
thank you that was very helpfull havent realy watched you since yo kai watch 3 reales but you still make very good videos
Bro you do a great job explaining this because I knew literally zero about this but now I feel like I understand it. Question what are the best stats to max out and best stats to sacrifice?
thank you for having time stamps it is so so s os os sosooooooo appreciated king
Thank you so much!!!
thanks for this video, all other (text) guides seem to assume i know what i'm doing
Thanks for the video, I started battling online and my Pokémon were slower than my opponents even though they had the right nature lol grind time is upon me
I Ev trained my Breloom a few minutes ago, took awhole lot of resources but it's working good now
I train all My pokemons in The small beach where u meet for the first time miraidon/koraidon , first using sp.atk/ atk bands then speed one
I used to watch you for Yo-kai watch tips and tricks, but now I'm back, but with Pokemon
I've found flamigo give 2 EVs and are very common. Issue is that they have detect
This video is so so helpful great job
Super helpful!!
something important about the berries, you can actually get them in bulk at the auction house, you can change the date on your switch and reset the game until you get the berries you need
Seems like a huge process reliant on luck. Pass. 😅
@@AbdallahSmash well to be fair the same can be said for running around an area hoping to get the berries you need rather than the ones you don't, a process reliant on luck! great video!
What an incredible explanation, I started this not understanding EVs or anything of the sort (IVs, Natures, all I knew was numbers go up, lol)
And now it feels much more simple and understandable! Thank you for such a thorough and helpful video!!
This video is super informative but to me the chart looks identical from 13:13 to 15:05. You said it removed all defense stats but I still see them on the chart lol. Am I just stupid? Watched the video twice. You have great content, keep up the amazing work.
Great guide. Question that didn’t seem obvious to me. Once I got my 28 of one and 28 of another battled. Seems like 1 more battle with item 3 for the last points?
Also once this is done can I finally use my trainee in battle w/o worrying about battling the wrong one Amy more?
I always wanted to make my Pokémon’s stats sparkle so thanks :)
Awesome guide you are the real mvp
Thank you for the guide! I have a question. Does the Pokémon have to be in the process of leveling up to gain those EVs? What if the Pokémon is level 100?
Awesome guide, but you technically need 26 vitamins to max a stat from 0. 25×10=250, so the 26th vitamin (if you have the money) would cover the last 2 EVs in the stat.
252/4 = 63 extra in a stat
Yeh finally just got my 1st max ev pokemon. Fitting it should be my shiny Muk(patience) caught when it was a grimer
Quick questions:
So if I have a pre-evolved poke, and I go and max out its evs by killing some weak pokes will the maxed evs carry over to the evolved version? Or do I retrain?
Also, for evs, I just need to kill pokes of a certain type, not level up? I guess it will just feel weird killing a bunch of x and y pokes to max out the evs and then just go back to playing normal.
If my poke is in my party but not deployed, and is getting exp, that doesn't affect evs right?
Thanks!
This was very helpful! I can finally defeat raids easier! (You just earned a sub :D)
I wanted to evee train my dragnite this was very helpful
Whether it's Animal Crossing or Pokemon, we can always count on your guides!
Great vid bro l, appreciate it
From episode 9 thank you for all the information you give us Abdallah!
does it have to be that specific pokemon for manual ev training? yungoos for attack
I love that Rayquaza skateboard
Sorry if this was said in the video and I missed it, but do wild Pokémon have clear EVs? Or do you have to raise them from an egg for that?
Hey how do I find out which Pokémon give which type of Evs. Like for example: how do you know that tropius gives hp Ev, but flamingo gives attack Ev?
Quick silly question! If I equip power item and I started battle pokemon for specific state. How many Pokemon I should battle to max one state?
I have a question. You suggest buying 6 of each EV training item to train 6 at a go. Would that mean putting six Pokemon of the same kind that I want to train in a specific EV, such as 6 Pokemon I want to train in Attack EVs? If I just put 5 other random ones in there will they all just get attack EVs?
Came from Episode 9! :D Wow 5 hours to make the video!? Hope it wasn't too tiring.
I have been using a speed and attack bracelet on my level 1 pokemon, and having another farm only the attack pokemon for ev's, but all my ev's seem to be going up?
Even tho this was made a year ago this helped me a lot thank you!
Glad it helped!
Hey question what if my pokemon already had best stats from when I breed it but it won't let me get the badge
Could you do the snorlax jar for all 510 to make sure I fully understand?
i have a question:
Can I get +8 of Speed EVs using a power items, while fighting an ATK ev pokemon = +1 ATK ev & +8 SPD ev?
Thus training 2 pokemon that I want to have max ATK and SPD simultaneously while only having 1 ATK power item and 1 SPD power item.
Do the 28ish fights on ATK ev while wearing SPD power and the other pokemon holds the ATK power item and then switch items start hitting SPD ev pokemon?
So this whole time I’ve been giving my desired Pokémon 26 vitamins to max out a stat. For example 26 protein/calcium & 26 carbos and 1 hpup to ev train a physical/special sweeper
Would auto battling do the trick or do u have to manually battle them?
What i'd like to know is, can i give my entire team lets say the bracer, and it then works on all of them normaly? Is the EV getting divided or is it gonna not work at all?
