you will find that a lot of motor wires won't reach the board then it's positioned in the centre of the quad which is why they shipped them with wires attached. when u come to build one that has the v2 without wires if using with the racerstar motors they won't reach on a 230 sized frame
Always wondered with these newer advanced skinny arm quad frames how these individual ESC's would hold up in a crash plus I never liked how the ESC is so much wider than the arms. Being a bit of a noob, thanks for explaining BB2 as I was just looking @ the price so I ended up buying the V2 as well. Great review!
Nice review :) Their choice of ESCs order doesn't really matter since the more important is how you will connect your signal cable to your flight controller so the final order is just defined by yourself! Thanks for sharing and happy midweek
regarding the esc layout 1, 2 , 3 and 4, yeah you can just witch wires, but it would be better if you didn't have tom especially if you use that smaller cable with the plugs on each end, then you need to swap over the pins, Not super hard, but if they can fix it in the next revision I say why not.
Yeah, I see what your saying, but in their defence it is a pretty logical way of mapping the escs. I cant see the vendor wanting to change how they map their escs just to suit how cleanflight maps their motors. There are other flight GUIs with different mapping schemes.
I used a much larger and cased 4 in 1 for the first time while putting a 450 quadcopter together and came across the same sort of issue. After some time looking at things I was going to have a mess with the motor wires because I was using a KK2 board with a totally different motor layout. Turns out that if you mounted it upside down it was all perfect without crossing wires! So I did...
I bought these to replace my burned one in my falcon 120. but I decided to build a new build. regarding there motor wiring, I just wire up the motors to closest pads and I solder that esc wire accordingly with my motor layout to the flight controller. I think the reason why racerstar motor is labeled like this is because they are probably built for eachine quads like the falcon 120 which is perfect layout for this
Can you do an installation with this ESC and show pass through for Belheli suite to configure the ESC. Also I think it comes with another cable so you can connect it directly to the Naze32 header for the signal wires which makes it a super clean build
hey Stuart, if that 4 in one is anything like the four in one I used ,those two extra wires connected to the one green signal plug are the bec for the flight controller.
hey still you might want to check the voltage coming off that board I know if my Ready Made RC LLC support on them they actually have to 5 volts needed for the flight controller
should I still use a bec if my flight controller has one. I have the F3s AIO V1.0 . Thanks in advance to who ever responds. I just got my first DIY kit. The Flexrc owl. So I'm a total noob. Thanks so much for this video and all the videos you do to help people like me.
Awesome track at the end. I just found a place a block from my work that is pretty cool, I get to go get a couple packs in at lunch. I just am getting in to flying close proximity, and was kinda bummed when I saw how crappy I was haha! I thought I was getting pretty good out in the open.
OK. All good, but the esc's are Opto's so they need 5V to run them. Where is the 5V connection. Some pics show a red wire in the JST connection, some not.
That motor layout works well with KISS FC. Just throwing that out there. :] P.S. It is nice to hook those power leads up to a PDB and running the normal setup style. If you are fine stacking 3 boards. The extra space is worth the convenience of having proper voltage outputs.
this esc is also sold as Sunrise Cicada. and they have the newest versions. also the version that you are showing at 7:23 is actually an older version than the one you have. the new version is the one that you have right now without the pads since alot of people want tighter builds and the pads takes up more space also there is a Version with BB2 chip with pads and without. Hello my friend, I need your advice? I am building a Martian two 180 mm frame. I just got my race star motors my four inone ESC's do I still need a power distribution board still for the all-in-one ESC's? Thanks for all the videos you are put out. Not to many step by step build on the all in one ESCs. Best, Oscar
ya, I've watched the video again, and if it didn't have voltage coming out of the two extra wires connected to the green signal wire there would be no hot wire and only ground if it was opto.
This could be paired with something like the RMRC Dodo FC which can take in 2-6s lipo for power. The Dodo also has a 5v regulator on it to power other things.
Your supposed to wire them closest motor to closest pad, then you just switch the signal wires going to the esc to correspond to betaflight motor order
yeah but you need to be careful and it can be bothersome, eg say you need to change motor 1's direction but its actually esc 3 on the bl heli suite. can get confusing.
Hello, I just started this drone quest and want to build a mini. I have the Blheli 4 in 1 esc 10 amp with 1104 racestar motors and would like to know if you have a video on installing this. This will be my first and I'm not sure what all I need and the connections/layout for the wiring. any recommendations on a good flight controller for this? I have this one - Usmile F3 Flight Controller with Built-in OSD /5V 500ma BEC/Buzzer Programmable LED function 2-3S Support for 80-130mm Brushless Mini Micro quad fpv racing. I'm just not sure what goes where. Thank you, Dale
Current Banggood version does not have a red wire (+) anymore. The black one (-) is still there, however. So what's the purpose of the black wire in the plug? And do you need to solder the FC directly to the Lipo contacts then to power it?
Two problems. 1. The order of the escs aint cleanflight friendly. 2. The 5 volt is only good for the fc. If you hook up a led to it as well, it goes bananaz.
Hello good sir! Quick question: in all of your builds you're very specific to say that you solder your motors directly to your ESCs, I have this ESC but my motor wires won't reach. Should I attempt to break down my motor and put longer wires in or would it be okay to add a little length to the end of them to solder to the ESC? Thank you!!
UAVfuters hiya stu iv got my f3 all setup i think lol well on the table m8 and i going to upload a we video showing it before i bolt it in the quad ? but do i need to connect these esc to my receiver to set max & min throttle before putting this in the quad and connecting it all up or can i set my max & min in cleanflight when setting it up stu
UAVFUTURES hi stu can you give me some advice on a issue iv got I got this 4in1 esc 20A and not had any problems with soldering the wire to the pads but my 2nd 4in1 blHeli esc iv come across a problem with 2 or 3 pads for soldering motor wire some of the pads has like a yellowy golden liquid or some kind of residue and not letting me pre tint these pads and letting sold stick and just got DP-60 ELECTRICAL CONTACT CLEANER will this clean of the residue it's like rework liquid and causes the solder to reball on the soldering iron stu lol this is me just getting round to building my QAV-R 180
This vid is old, but I have two 20A 4in1s now. I'm wondering will my rs2205s 2300kv (5"), rs2205 2600kv (4") or dys 2206 2450kv (5") builds cook these ESCs with DAL tri props? I'm concerned that burst throttle will explode these ESCs? Do I need to suck it up and get 30-35A ESCs?
Hey Stu, I'm using V2 & a Omnibus F3 v1.1. I get no battery voltage in Betaflight. Do I need to solder wires onto the + & - battery leads and send them to the FC vbat & gnd? Or do I solder the wires on the + & - pads next to the battery leads on the esc's? ( the board & all the devices are all currently powered by the ESC rail/ multi cable )
I bought this a few months ago and built a quad. It worked fine for a while... then I started getting desync issues which was annoying and whilst I was changing the mounting holders I broke a small capacitor of some sort which is very close to the mounting hole.... Just putting this here so that hopefully others that buy this are aware that it might happen.. Anyways I am going to try 4 separate escs now.. Any recommendations please?
Hi. About the motor layout. can't you just switch the signal wires ?? :O (so actually it really doesn't matter ?) keep up the good work :) Nice channel :)
Stewart, on the connector where the signal wires are attached are [+] and - leads. WHAT are the purposes/functions of these leads? They don't supply power as a BEC would. The motors seem to be controlled normally without them being hooked up to anything. I've read that the red [+] lead is useless and the black - is a "ground" but for what? I'm mystified. Humans have an appendix that is a leftover from past evolution. Can this be analogous to ESC-land?
Hey quick question! I'm doing my own build using you under 99 dollar build! It seems that banggood is out of the RS20A ESC. Can I use the V2 version with the SPf3 FC board and matec PDB? I'm just wondering if theres a difference in the two besides better performance?
I see the ESC has 6 wires coming out of it, 4 for motors and 1 red + and 1 black -, are these input or out put or some thing els , is it for FC battery monitoring , or outputs 5v
I need to know how to convert 1 esc into 4 as theres much better cheaper 160amp escs. Trying to work it out and put a end to these ridiculously priced shyt.
see this 1s running 1 set of wires the emaxs have 4. so I can control all 4 motors threw 1 esc yea? 1 esc control wire im talking about. hmm im wrong sorry but it does look less wires. is there no way to add 4 wire to a single 160A esc. not even about the money its reliability. Im seeing guys buy top priced shyt and dead after few flights.
hiya stu I noticed you said this doesn't power the fc so how does the fc get power will it be throw the v-bat connection from the pdb or will it be the 5v from the pdb or will the fc get powered by the receiver
i used one of these with a dodo rev3b... the dodo can run off the battery without needed a 5v! and the dodo also supplies 5v out (i think now uo to 2a? double check that part). :D
I am new to quads and accidentally bought the racerstar 20a 4 in 1 without BEC. does that mean that i need a pdb to power my flight controller + fpv cam ? I'm confused because this 4-in1 esc has what looks to be 4 signal wires for the Flight controller - purple, yellow, orange and the green, BUT the green also has a red and black pair in the same connector.
it looked to me that the red and black wire he said needed a 5v bec to the flight controller was actually the power in and the positive and negative next to the signal would be for the fc ...in a perfect world that makes sense but I honestly don't know , good question 😃
justin vaughn I'm pretty sure that one will need a 5V BEC to power it up and has a battery meter pins you'll hookup to the battery. hope that helps you.
hiya stu I was going to setup my f3 deluxe racing board in cleanflight and I'm using this 4in1 esc do I still need to enable oneshot in cleanflight stu
put on betaflight, and then select multishot in the bl heli config GUI. because these are bl heli S they can auto detect the communication software between the fc and esc
+UAVfutures thanks very much do I do this in the. serial receiver provider stu iv still not plugged it in yet or will it be in mixer at quad-X. section lol
UAVFUTURES hiya stu what do you think of these 30A racestar esc with the racestar 2205 2600kv motors will these be compatible together running on the f3 deluxe or maybe the new f4 fc lol do you think that will be a good setup to put in the QAV250 frame stu
+UAVfutures cool stu iv ordered all that apart from esc I was just checking first before I Bay them bud. and stu that f3 & racestar blHeli setup in my nighthawk is absolutely awesome motors start up so smooth no stuttering or anything pure quality stu thanks again m8 do you have any experience with the devo 7 transmitter iv I had the receiver setup but I lost my switches for flight modes and failsafe lol
noworrys ill get there stu pal i got brave lastnight and went to give it a wee test in the bedroom the bloody thing just instantly flipped haha 3 times i tried lol its deadly without flight modes setup m8 and i was thinking of taking it over the park can you take off and land on full acro stu ? lol
It most likely will just act as a passthru and put whatever the battery is providing on the pin ... if so, it's not a good idea to hook it up. It would destroy your FC.
AUVfutures hiya stu i found a bit of an issue iv got these wired up 1A to motor 1 and 2A to motor 2 and 3c to motor 3 but when i check each motors there not in order stu when i check motor 1 its motor 4 that spins // and motor 4 is 1 and 2 and 3 ar the same there all turning the right way lol but not in the right order i think iv found the problem with my instant flip and i cant understand why these ar all back to front joshua barwell im needing some mad scientist [[ HELP HELP ]] HAHA
Hey mate. Literally built a quad with this weekend with this esc. So I know what you are talking about. basically the easiest way i can think of is one motor at a time. On the connector that plugs into the side of the esc board. Depin/remove all but one wire. put it in the first socket (NOT THE GND OR POWER). connect in betaflight GUI and find out which motor what spins. if you spin up motor tab slider 1 and motor 3 slides...well you know that that is motor 3, So try again until slider one matches motor one. THEN once this is done. head on into bl heli suite and one at a time check which direction an esc is going. and change it if needed. If it changes the wrong one then revert it back. and try the next one and so forth. The motors and escs will not know which esc is which from the FC. So just trial and error it one motor at a time. TIP you can easily remove pins from the little connecter by sliding a knife under its tooth and prying it up just enough to slide it out. hope that helps. took me a while too.
got it sorted buddy its happning stu will it be ok to run this on kingkong 50-40 high-performance props iv got a box with 10 sets i forgot i bought them lol but will these be ok on the 6" frame
William Davie well it should be ok... not great though and dont run 6" props. they are only 20amp escs so you dont want to blow them up. I would stick to 5" props only on them.
UAVfutures thanks stu my 30a come to do so my racestar br2205 - 2600kv motors will be here in the 2 days would i be better putting these in the nighthawk & putting the mt2204-2300kv & 20A IN THE qav250 FRAME this should work better on both year the quad yes ??? im i thinking on the right here stu lol
HELLO. Mad scientist here.
:)
I think I pronounced your name wrong... Sorry mate. thanks for stopping by
No worries. It's a common mispronunciation.
just sent you a pm
show me ze data ! SHOW ME ZE DATA!!!
you will find that a lot of motor wires won't reach the board then it's positioned in the centre of the quad which is why they shipped them with wires attached. when u come to build one that has the v2 without wires if using with the racerstar motors they won't reach on a 230 sized frame
thanks
On a 230 frame I would use individual ESC's anyway, especially if the arms are wider, & more room to put stuff!
yes i would also but if you are going for weight the all in one board is 10 grams lighter than 4 ESC
yeah I dont think this is meant for a 230 frame, ESCs on the arms have more airflow, this is perfect for smaller builds with smaller motors.
Do you know the Black wire size ?
If the ecs/motor layout is a problem just shuffle the signal wires around to suit your needs. That way the motor wires wont have to cross.
yeah I know, but just one more thing they could change to make it better
Always wondered with these newer advanced skinny arm quad frames how these individual ESC's would hold up in a crash plus I never liked how the ESC is so much wider than the arms. Being a bit of a noob, thanks for explaining BB2 as I was just looking @ the price so I ended up buying the V2 as well. Great review!

Yhe layout is the way it is and that 2nd cables is vacause it was build for a
CC3D
You can also just make a custom motor mix in Betaflight, no need to switch wires.
yea that true it would be nice if they had made it it in the right pattern that way it could be plug and play
Is there a reason why you can't remap the ESC outputs in the correct order by merely switching the the #3 and #4 signal wires around to the FC?
I bought these to replace my burned one in my falcon 120. but I decided to build a new build. regarding there motor wiring, I just wire up the motors to closest pads and I solder that esc wire accordingly with my motor layout to the flight controller. I think the reason why racerstar motor is labeled like this is because they are probably built for eachine quads like the falcon 120 which is perfect layout for this
Its just their channel mapping guide, you just swap the signal wires to match the FC...

Hey stu, you said the motor signal wires backwards. if you look at the text right next to the signal wire connector, it sais the wire/motor order.
So when you say swap the wires, I'm guessing you mean the coloured wires in the plug. correct?
Thanks for the video.
should I still use a bec if my flight controller has one.
I thought I was getting pretty good out in the open.
if you think about you can run those esc in any order you want you would just have to connect the input lead to whatever Channel you want
OK. All good, but the esc's are Opto's so they need 5V to run them. Where is the 5V connection. Some pics show a red wire in the JST connection, some not.
That motor layout works well with KISS FC. Just throwing that out there. :]
P.S. It is nice to hook those power leads up to a PDB and running the normal setup style. If you are fine stacking 3 boards. The extra space is worth the convenience of having proper voltage outputs.
this esc is also sold as Sunrise Cicada. and they have the newest versions. also the version that you are showing at 7:23 is actually an older version than the one you have. the new version is the one that you have right now without the pads since alot of people want tighter builds and the pads takes up more space
also there is a Version with BB2 chip with pads and without. I actually use this esc with my atom v1 and direct solder the xt30 to it. and use a Lux FC since its the only flight controller with built in filtered Bec for 3v and 5v.
the only downside is, this is the only 4in1 esc that doesn't have a BEC. then again, i never use the BEC on an esc, since they create alot of noise. and this have the more amps than most 4in1 esc i've tested.
Hey, UAVfutures, thank you so much for making this video!!
Would this fit on an Eachine Wizard frame?
I thought my charger was finished and when I got up to look I realised it was from the video.
: )
Hello my friend,
I need your advice? I am building a Martian two 180 mm frame. I just got my race star motors my four inone ESC's do I still need a power distribution board still for the all-in-one ESC's? Thanks for all the videos you are put out. Not to many step by step build on the all in one ESCs.
Best,
Oscar
ya, I've watched the video again, and if it didn't have voltage coming out of the two extra wires connected to the green signal wire there would be no hot wire and only ground if it was opto.
Why not make 5in1 esc incase one burn out, you just solder to the spare esc. :)
Creative, but not very practical. Why not ESC with replaceable parts?
IRFZ44 and banggood just gave us that!
Good idea
You were ahead of your time. Your prediction came true
This could be paired with something like the RMRC Dodo FC which can take in 2-6s lipo for power. The Dodo also has a 5v regulator on it to power other things.
diatone makes a tiny 5v 500mah bec that could attach to the board. (I have done it) would post picture, it's not possible here.
The esc sounds great, are you interested in the 32-bit MCU not Blheili_S?
Don't you have all the motor signal wires explanation backwards? My 30amp version diagram shows the opposite.
Thinking of getting the 30amp.
This is very exciting indeed, gotta get one of these
Use a Flight Control that only needs Battery voltage, MotoLabs Tempest and Cyclone come to mind. that would be a super tight build,
Why dont you just swap some signal wires around so you can have the right motor-esc mapping for your quad?
Your supposed to wire them closest motor to closest pad, then you just switch the signal wires going to the esc to correspond to betaflight motor order
Wich layout the esc's are in does not matter, just solder the controllwires to different pins on your fc.
yeah but you need to be careful and it can be bothersome, eg say you need to change motor 1's direction but its actually esc 3 on the bl heli suite. can get confusing.
niiiiice!! might have to consider these on my next build!
Today, in 2021, I want to build a drone with Dji Naza Lite + Esc 4in1 racerstar ... is it possible?
$23 now. Going to pick up a few for some compact builds
when one of the ESC's dies if 3 still work swap it to a mini tricopter build.
Thank you, Dale
what awg wire do you use for this esc
great video
also couldn't you just map the signal wires to where you want 1234 to be?
Woohoo thanks for this video, couldnt find any info about it so kinda left it.
If you spun and flipped it, it would match the motor mapping for a Kiss FC.
Current Banggood version does not have a red wire (+) anymore. The black one (-) is still there, however. So what's the purpose of the black wire in the plug? And do you need to solder the FC directly to the Lipo contacts then to power it?
Ground wire for the signal leads. relying on the high current power ground is likely to be noisy.
Thank you!!
there is a onboard bec where the signal cables are there is a positive and negative
It outputs battery voltage, not 5v. :(
are you sure?...5v is really needed on these things...
Considering buying this, but would you need to buy a PDB or no?
UAVfuters hiya stu iv got my f3 all setup i think lol well on the table m8 and i going to upload a we video showing it before i bolt it in the quad ? but do i need to connect these esc to my receiver to set max & min throttle before putting this in the quad and connecting it all up
or can i set my max & min in cleanflight when setting it up stu
Could you please make a DIY power cube with this???? Pleasssseeeeee
maybe
UAVfutures hiya stu see these esc do they put out 20A or is it 4x 20A and what's a good recommend size motors to run on these 20A blHeli stu
20A is ok for 2212 920kv motor, 1045 prop, 450 quad with 3s battery?
UAVFUTURES hi stu can you give me some advice on a issue iv got I got this 4in1 esc 20A and not had any problems with soldering the wire to the pads
but my 2nd 4in1 blHeli esc iv come across a problem with 2 or 3 pads for soldering motor wire some of the pads has like a yellowy golden liquid or some kind of residue and not letting me pre tint these pads and letting sold stick and just got DP-60 ELECTRICAL CONTACT CLEANER
will this clean of the residue it's like rework liquid and causes the solder to reball on the soldering iron stu lol this is me just getting round to building my QAV-R 180
Will you do a build video for the Martian II ?, i really wanna see that.
Can you do a video that shows how to program the ESC's on this unit?
UAVfutures I hope some one is reading this because I’m a little late to the vid, but just to clarify this pulls 20Amps per esc?
This vid is old, but I have two 20A 4in1s now. I'm wondering will my rs2205s 2300kv (5"), rs2205 2600kv (4") or dys 2206 2450kv (5") builds cook these ESCs with DAL tri props? I'm concerned that burst throttle will explode these ESCs? Do I need to suck it up and get 30-35A ESCs?
Where do you get them for $30? Banggood's price is $40 for basic version making it worthless upgrade cost wise, not worth the risk.
I've got one of these too - what are the + and - connectors for? I measure 0v across them with battery connected?
I got that Version but on the plug is just the Black wire and not the red
(so actually it really doesn't matter ?)
keep up the good work :)
Nice channel :)
Black and red and 4 signal wires get soldered where on the fc?

I think the newer versions do provide some current
Right mate. The newest V2 has a 5v BEC! Hip hip hooray!
Hey quick question! I'm doing my own build using you under 99 dollar build! It seems that banggood is out of the RS20A ESC. Can I use the V2 version with the SPf3 FC board and matec PDB? I'm just wondering if theres a difference in the two besides better performance?
wooah, very impressive , describe all parts very well...
: )
I see the ESC has 6 wires coming out of it, 4 for motors and 1 red + and 1 black -, are these input or out put or some thing els , is it for FC battery monitoring , or outputs 5v
huh?
Found out that the + is dead so removed it , there is a version of this ESC with a 5V 3A SBec witch is why I asked.
what is the difference between v1 and v2??????
Wow now that is a tough track at the end.
would you recommend the 30a version?
Does anybody know how much these weight without wires or heatshrink I want to know if it would just be lighter to use normal escs.
Good for EMAX RS2205 on a 200mm build?
I need to know how to convert 1 esc into 4 as theres much better cheaper 160amp escs. Trying to work it out and put a end to these ridiculously priced shyt.

Can you do a video on the little bee 4 in 1 esc??
hiya stu I noticed you said this doesn't power the fc so how does the fc get power will it be throw the v-bat connection from the pdb or will it be the 5v from the pdb or will the fc get powered by the receiver
i used one of these with a dodo rev3b... the dodo can run off the battery without needed a 5v! and the dodo also supplies 5v out (i think now uo to 2a? double check that part). :D
I am new to quads and accidentally bought the racerstar 20a 4 in 1 without BEC. does that mean that i need a pdb to power my flight controller + fpv cam ? I'm confused because this 4-in1 esc has what looks to be 4 signal wires for the Flight controller - purple, yellow, orange and the green, BUT the green also has a red and black pair in the same connector.
you can buy little 5v regulators. or use an FC that doesnt need 5v
cool thanks for the advice. i just notice my camera vtx can take between 7-15v and so i will get a regulator for the FC.
UAVfutures hmmm i bought a sp racing f3 FC from banggood but it doesnt say the input voltage requirements in the manual :(
what are the black and red wires next to the signals for? are they out putting 5 volts?
it looked to me that the red and black wire he said needed a 5v bec to the flight controller was actually the power in and the positive and negative next to the signal would be for the fc ...in a perfect world that makes sense but I honestly don't know , good question 😃
anyone have an answer to this one? if it is not to the FC than is a good spot to hook up a BEC ?
justin vaughn im thinking dave is right. so if your FC needs 5v and cant take the full battery voltage youll need a 5v bec.
i bought the "upgrade naze" SP Racing F3 FC on banggood and cant tell if it requires 5v or not. the manual does seem to state it.
justin vaughn I'm pretty sure that one will need a 5V BEC to power it up and has a battery meter pins you'll hookup to the battery. hope that helps you.
lol joshua bradwell!!! i just randomly watched this again and caught that funny
question.
Banggood is selling a combo with FC and pdb/osd can you do a build using this? or any tutorials on set up?
at the moment there is so much stuff on the bench I dont think ill be doing a build vid for about another month
hiya stu I was going to setup my f3 deluxe racing board in cleanflight and I'm using this 4in1 esc do I still need to enable oneshot in cleanflight stu
put on betaflight, and then select multishot in the bl heli config GUI. because these are bl heli S they can auto detect the communication software between the fc and esc
+UAVfutures thanks very much do I do this in the. serial receiver provider stu iv still not plugged it in yet or will it be in mixer at quad-X. section lol
Met naza v2 ??
How to connect this for sp racing f3 in single shot ?
UAVFUTURES hiya stu what do you think of these 30A racestar esc with the racestar 2205 2600kv motors will these be compatible together running on the f3 deluxe or maybe the new f4 fc lol do you think that will be a good setup to put in the QAV250 frame stu
should be a great combo
+UAVfutures cool stu iv ordered all that apart from esc I was just checking first before I Bay them bud. and stu that f3 & racestar blHeli setup in my nighthawk is absolutely awesome motors start up so smooth no stuttering or anything pure quality stu thanks again m8 do you have any experience with the devo 7 transmitter iv I had the receiver setup but I lost my switches for flight modes and failsafe lol
William Davie yeah they are smooth. dont know about the devo 7 sorry
noworrys ill get there stu pal i got brave lastnight and went to give it a wee test in the bedroom the bloody thing just instantly flipped haha 3 times i tried lol its deadly without flight modes setup m8 and i was thinking of taking it over the park can you take off and land on full acro stu ? lol
William Davie i only fly acro unless its a micro
What is the calabration for this esc?
good for a hell bender 122 build
How do i flash these in Blheli?
Those input voltage lines looks way too small for delivering a total of 80A... seriously those will be a problem!
if there is no bec what's the red n black wires from signal cable for?
It most likely will just act as a passthru and put whatever the battery is providing on the pin ... if so, it's not a good idea to hook it up. It would destroy your FC.
Is the black and red wires for soldering to a pdb?
Talking bout the ones that are in the signal wire harness.
does anyone have an answer to this? I am curious as well since I accidentally bought the one with no BEC
If it's a BEC that would be sweet. You can hook it up and see how many volts come out of that wire.
do u know if the old school littlebee 20a escs can support blheli s?
Nope they don't
I haven't really looked into them, but I did see some new littlebee 20a esc's with blheli s on banggood.
+McCormick Emge those are the newer little bee blheli s esc's they have a 32bit processor. The older guys have a mpu330, an 8bit processor.
So, are little bees still the best budget 30 amp ESC's on the market?
I bet they feel smooth!
Not having 5V makes it a NoNo for n tiny build for me
Becs are not needed anymore pair it with a Flip Omnibus or similar and you have all in 2 boards
Yeah, if you use an FC with it's own 5v regulator, then no PDB is needed assuming you have FPV gear that can handle full lipo voltage.
Do you guys know if the "upgrade naze" SP racing F3 FC from banggood needs 5v or can it be used with this ESC and take a connection from the battery ?
It needs 5v.
Rmrc has a 4 in 1 esc that has a bec
with bl heli S?
+UAVfutures not to sure but it is blheli
But lumenier makes a 4 in 1 with blheli s
www.getfpv.com/lumenier-blheli-s-20a-4-in-1-opto-esc.html
ik hate the 4 in 1 i used two already and they both went to the heavens after a few crashes in the grass. i got 1 left and i won't buy a new one soon.
Perfect for a RS90 build
still a bit big : (
+UAVfutures I meant to say the owl build.
Jon Car yeah perfect for that
I video build using this product would be awesome!
You do realise that the ESC order is determined by the signal wires???
it not wise to have 4 in 1 version of esc.
