Ooof, €254 for the ELRS version without video system.. For comparison you can get the brand new BetaFPV Pavo20 Pro w/o video system for under a hundred Euros.. Stick a Runcam Link for €111 in it and it's still cheaper than the Eagle. I want to like it, but that's just too expensive

I've built a quad I think you would really like - DJI 03 on a 2.5" frame running FPV Cycle 13mm 5000kv motors on 550mah 3S packs. It weighs just about 120g dry. Supports the weight much better than 2" IMO! It's the best backyard ripper I've yet flown.
I love my eagle, usually get about 2.5min with aggressive flying. It’s fun for fun but not the best to practice things with because of the short flight time. Might try putting a naked o3 in that could be cool
yes this was my mistake in the video I asked people to find. its top mounted but I put the tpu holders on the bottom in the bench break down. BUT in my defence they dont actually fit the top so just use velcro IMO
Now compare this with the Larva X / Babyhawk 2 you had featured on your channel... Analog 3s/4s RIPPER! Mindblowingly crazy fast, but with an average camera. Your channel got me into the Skyzone Sky03 with a beautiful analog setup. Legal sub 250 - extreamly fast / powerful freestyle ripping. Digital is simply too heavy to be a viable legal choice.
As far as the Lightning V2 goes, I have built a very similar setup with a Drakenight Frame, slightly stronger frame "truss design, way better camera protection using the Walksnail 1S VTX, and purchasing the components cheaply via a Happymodel Mobula8 03 BNF that can be purchase without the 03 VTX and using the parts on the Drakenight Frame -- This ends up as a super little HD 2" fligher, just like the Lightning V2 but better.
Great review. A lot of others have criticized the ymz for the weight of the frame. Maybe you cold compare it to the avionrc ikon 2.5 or ikon3 or the quadmula DJINN 2.5?
You put the battery mount on the bottom. I built something similar with 1303 5000kv motors and WS 1s lite kit, flying 450mah 4s and get more power but slower spin-up. It feels lighter and flies great. But as a back yard flier, I prefer my 2in as 2s on HDZero. Feels faster, more fun, and 2s is way cheaper with with these oddly small batteries.
Nailed this vid. Ya look great and sound great and it reminded me of the old times. I’m a dinosaur myself so analog or “potatoe” vision is my choice. But this is nice. I think the lighting is better for this size. Best all around for mid size might just be the emax free style. Not the fastest or most nimble but dang… it takes a beating. And keeps on ripping.
I wonder if I could fit an HDZero unit in there..🤔Important because I don't want to use dji's system that's a pita to use alongside others flying anything but dji...👎🏼
I don't get the title. Looked like an ad for a micro quad with DJI. Amazing video quality and looked like it flew good. Even though the guys complained about this and that.
if you have DJI, you cannot top this experience if you want a tiny 2 inch craft. maybe with an ultra light stripped 03 unit, but for a BNF this is about as good as DJI can get for you

DJI O4 lite is supposed to be 1S and much lighter. That might just change this drone altogether.
You should show OSD in the recording. With the main concern being weight, seeing your throttle indicator would help useful

I have a 6s 2.5 with an o3. I run 850mah batteries. 1604 2850kv motors. it's heavy but it's a rocket.
What frame did you used?

I think 2.5 really makes a difference here. 03 units are too small for anything less IMO

The quadmula 25 with 03 1404 3000kv on 650mah 6s xt30 or 380mah.
