looking back your 1st car had the bad paint and you got it replaced and now its your own version of a ZL1 its been fun watching and learning as you go. i cant wait for you to finish the supercharger and track that beast. my only thing is i think i liked the stock SS hood better but its unique this way
to replace the bose speaker, do you think it can be done without pulling the whole door panel off? what if you undid everything you showed and just left the top part of the door panel still attached, do you think you could pull the bottom part of the door panel out enough to access the speaker and remove the whole speaker unit and replace it?
Hey was wondering if you’ve done a video on how to change a passenger side door latch. I recently got a Camaro 2SS and the door latch doesn’t lock dealerships charging around $500 to fix Although I might just do it myself since the door latch isn’t that expensive it’s around 100$
I was wondering if anyone knows if you can put the lighted door panels and radio in a car that didnt come with the lighting. Is there any extra wireing you would have to do?
Sorry for commenting on an old video but... I'm used to Monte Carlos (had an 87 SS [with t-tops] and a 2004 "Intimidator" SS that I just traded for the 2018 Camaro 2SS) that had the loop on the corner of the seat to hold the seatbelt buckle when not in use. I've had to get used to Camaro not having this loop (because that is where the latch is to tilt the seat forward for rear seat access) and have to be mindful to not just let the seatbelt buckle slam into the door panel when I unbuckle. Unfortunately friends and fiance are not as mindful on the passenger side. I have some unsightly scuff marks on the door panel from the seatbelt buckle. Do you know if there's some kind of padding solution for the door or a seatbelt buckle loop/bracket that can attach to the seat?
Another great VLOG Matt! Thanks! I have followed these all the way from the beginning, 6 months before I bought my '17 2SS. You are very brave to take on all these parts replacement challenges, and making it look easy enough for all of us. I am curious about the cost of all these mods, and I understand that is may be personal if you don't want to share that information. Can I be so bold as to ask what you are doing with your old parts? I may be interested in them! Thanks again!
Yeah the factory speakers are just not enough. I had to upgrade all of my speakers to Infinity Perfects, do some sound deadening, and speaker foam for the acoustics. I added a digital processor and four channel amp for mids and highs. Man what a difference it made to the clarity and quality of the music. I added JL Audio shallow subs and a sub amp for bass and I had to do some sound deadening and CCF in the trunk to get rid of the rattle in my trunk now my system is perfect. The unfortunate think I'd with the sound deadener and equipment is I added 100lbs to the car but the added horsepower from my tune makes up for that. No more exhaust drone, car seems even more solid, and I can jam to my tunes. I highly recommend the upgrade if you like quality sound.
I'd love to know if the door illumination can be done on a 1ss. Thanks!

Are the silver trimmings removable? I was thinking of swapping out the silver trim for the white trim. Thanks for the video!
Can you make a video on how to get to the medal frame- can’t pop the dent out from the outside and I’m not sure how to do it - left door
looks nice Matt..Cant wait to see it in person.
Great video I watched it then installed my Hyper Blue insert to my car. I wouldn't have tried it without watching.
Maybe I missed it, did the new door panels come with stereo speakers?
+TenSeven no

@@screamo4211 very doable in my opinion
@ awesome! thank you.

hi been following your videos and curious how much will you sell your ss door panels for I have a 2016 Camaro LT model first American car love it
Great DIY... Thanks for continuing to help folks out!!!
on past gm cars those metal clips along the top stay on the door, the panel is hung over them and pushed down, maybe that is easier?
how do you wire the ambient lighting from the 2ss to a 1ss.
+Willis McGillis I have no idea.
Will C have you figured out yet? Exactly what I want to do 🤔
Hey Matt, which order number is the doorpanel?
Awesome! My only regret in getting my camaro is not getting the interior lighting...
Irving Valle I love the lighting lol. One of the reasons I got the 2SS
I will attempt to install it with white leds only. Seems like a very easy job.
I was wondering if anyone knows if you can put the lighted door panels and radio in a car that didnt come with the lighting. Is there any extra wireing you would have to do?
Gen5DIY would know ;)
probly need to get it programed at dealer since i think you change the colors via radio
Very helpful and the new panel looks great !
is the interior lighting in the door trim one piece or is it removable?
The ambient lighting? Removable.
Does anyone know how to fix or remove my door lock. It not locking my door when locking it from inside or outside with my remote.
what is that little vent looking thing in the door?

I haven’t seen anything.
LethalGarage Thanks for the reply. Appreciate it.

+David Cerce some I sell others I keep.
Have you ever considered adding a methanol injection kit?
+Trey McWilliams nope, staying away from Meth. Not needed for my build.
When is the stainless steel break lines gonna come?
+Ferny Guerra editing the video ;)
I've been racking my brain on Google trying to find out what the tiny little vent thing toward the top rear of the door panels is. Any idea?
I just want to know weight of door panels
what are you doing with the old panels?
+Rene Bravo I currently have them boxed up
LethalGarage will they be for sale?
+Rene Bravo a nice I am done with it all, I will probably sell it as a package of all the leather pieces.
LethalGarage do you have a price?
+Rene Bravo not yet
Nice work looks great.
Wow that's a lot of ads in one video.
I’m 7 years late but can you ever explain how you can swap an LT model door panel with no ambient lighting to a door panel with ambient lighting
@@chino7665 hit up Gen5diy and they have the wiring you need to add the lighting. But the panels are a direct swap.
@@Lethalgarage it’s not a direct swap for a 2018?
@@chino7665 if you car didn’t have the lighting from factory, things have to get added to power the lighting.
Thanks!
alcantar , very cool
i love it
Also a good guide for when your dealer opens your door with their boot....
You should have done a speaker upgrade when you had the door panel off
What speaker upgrade?
Anything better than Factory just my opinion

Hey Matt! Let me know if you're interested in selling the old door panels.
First like and comment
Those metal clips are a pain in the ass getting off the door panel..
