  • Moving to Boston is a big decision. People move to Massachusetts for jobs, great education and excellent healthcare. Cost of living in Boston is high, the Boston winters are cold and living in Boston in your 20's is not for the faint of heart but many fall in love with the city during their college years and can't imagine living anywhere else after graduating.
What are the pros of living in the city of Boston?
Pro # 1 - It is a very walkable city. So if you're living in the Boston proper, you can probably walk to a lot of places yourself, and you might not need a car. The public transportation is great. You have the bus, the subway, even ferry and the commuter rail. You have a lot of options when it comes to transportation. And if you're living more like in Back bay, Beacon Hill, downtown area, you can walk practically everywhere.
Pro # 2 - Boston is diverse, So you have all kinds of different neighborhoods and every neighborhood is slightly different with its character and quirks. And you will find a lot of diversity in the population and the restaurants. The North End is the little Italy of Boston. And this is where you will find many restaurants and cafes. It's a wonderful experience to go there on the weekend to just walk around. To live there, there are no single families available there, but there are many apartments that you can rent or you can own in North End. The famous ARYA Trattoria serves mouthwatering Italian dishes
The famous Prudential center Boston has the store Eataly where you can have your dinner, do your grocery shopping, you can spend your whole day there. Chinatown in Boston has all kinds of Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants. It has a large grocery store where they buy a lot of Asian produce and dry goods. They have Boba and dim sum. And my favorite restaurant is in Chinatown, the Q restaurant, where they serve the most amazing and delicious hot pots. Boston’s Chinatown is one of the most densely populated areas of Boston. It is also the second largest Chinatown after New York city. There is also a Chinese owned bus line that goes from Boston to New York City, connecting those two Chinatowns. Close to the South Station there is an award-winning Japanese restaurant O' Ya. You don't want to miss their sushi, Bluefin tuna and smoked salmon sashimi.

Do you have a video on the cost of renting a 1-bedroom apt in Boston Proper? -- what's the price range?

      Maybe 55,000 to 1.3 million

@@Ava2969ny depends on the neighborhood of Boston, it's a really wide range. In Dorchester $2000, In Beacon Hill over $2800. Average rent price for the whole Boston for a 1 bedroom, I would say $2650.

Are people eating ice cream on the balcony only wearing shorts and flip flops now in Boston?

@Marcos K. Fall weather in Boston is variable. I have photos of wearing a Tshirt end of October and no jackets in December but other years we get snow in November and wear warm coats in October. But, definitely only very brave souls wears flip-flops end of October while imbibing frozen treats.
