Day 1: Arriving In Kabul (extreme travel) - Afghanistan Under Taliban 🇦🇫

- Inside Taliban-Controlled Afghanistan 🇦🇫 Since I started to travel and explore Asia, Afghanistan has always been my dream country. The movies I have watched and the books I have read about Afghanistan have built dreamy expectations in my head of the country that I would not be able to experience anywhere else.
My visit did not disappoint - Afghanistan was time travel from bustling & unorganized bazaars, street shaves, same clothing in different colors, no brands, magnificent landscapes, and the bravest people with the biggest hearts of hospitality.
In my trip, we covered Mazar-i-Sharif, Kabul & Bamyan.
Visiting Afghanistan is a sensitive topic for many people. As in any country I go to, the main objective is to share the day-to-day life and spotlight the ordinary people that the mass media fail to capture. No matter how you feel about my trip, here is my summary.
Despite facing significant challenges, Afghanistan has many positive aspects that deserve recognition: diverse landscapes, rich history, warm hospitality, delicious cuisine, resilient people, and more!
Safety:
This was the biggest concern of many people I have talked to, and naturally, that has been the main worry when you enter a war-torn country over the last 40 years. With the takeover of the Taliban, the country is much safer than before; at least no conflicts are going on.
My Persian surname, which is the same as the current supreme leader of the Taliban, my cultural background, being a man with a +3 years long beard, and looking like one of the locals do not qualify me to talk about safety much when it comes to being a tourist. I had a significant advantage, considering the above.
Disclaimer: This is not a travel advisory. Afghanistan has a government that has not been recognized by any country, with no embassies and international relations. I am a professional traveler who explored the country with an organized guide.

8:39 - Local Lunch Experience;
21:57 - Streets of Kabul.

Great job ❤
Many Indian Travellers are also visited Afghanistan in past 1 year. Atleast for Indians, Taliban and local peoples are very friendly and supportive. 🇮🇳♥️ 🇦🇫
Welcome to Afghanistan brother 🙏❤️🇦🇫🕊️⚛️
I am watching you from the UK, and I am from Afghanistan.
When I am watching you with this interpreter, I appreciate him the most, whatever he is telling in your background for the people in my language is all for your benefit that makes me proud, he is trying his best to show you we (Afghans) are nice, fair, and welcoming.
Strange. Why are you in Uk😂
@@bonito34 Many Afghans were born outside of Afghanistan because of Secular Liberal terrorism and Communist terrorism
@@keyboardmouse7699liberal terrorism ? That’s a new one. Erm, the UK is a secular place lol, why would they escape Afghanistan to go to a secular place 😂So now that there are no communists or liberals in Afghanistan, I assume all these people ( including yourself ) are going to move back to the great homeland right ? They will leave the UK straight away surely ?
I'm American and served in Afghanistan on three different occasions. The Afghan people are very hospitable and nice! These videos bring back some nice memories of Afghanistan. Best wished to you!
💯
I like the simplicity and rawness of your vlogs.
Thank you for watching! ❤
I love traveling but its highly unlikely that I’ll be able to visit Afghanistan so thank you for showing me what it would be like.
Always welcome bro
No worries for you
You were in the room opposite mine in the Hotel!! You should’ve knocked and said hi!! I’m 6 weeks here now ! Would’ve loved to catch up 😊
How would he have known that 😂
@@RVSMX haha same way I knew lol .. it’s a small place and the hotel workers tell everyone who’s who that’s staying lol ..
@WanderingEmma I guess he's got priorities lol! I'll be sure to watch your videos once I'm done over here 👍
@@RVSMX yes I’m sure lol , I was saying that with Satire when I made that first comment lol

Britain imposed the Treaty of Paris on Iran to protect its colony, India, from the Soviet Union. The two sides of the agreement were Iran and England. And then in 1923, England appointed Amanullah Shah as the king, and from now on, a country called Afghanistan came into existence. And this was actually a part of Iran's soil. Not an independent country that Iran wants to conquer. And Afghanistan was created only to protect the British colony, India.

You are a great traveller, generous, kind and very honest, you are matching Afghans hospitality and generosity 👌😊
Another lovely video in Kabul ...ur guide is such a character
I pray that every day will be full of comfortable and happy days for Afghans as before! Everyone in Afghanistan needs to be happy In the meantime, innocent civilians have suffered a lot due to the numerous wars, so I pray that you will continue to live a normal and small happiness like the people of other countries Nobody hates Afghanistan Come on, Afghans🎉
Women in Afghanistan have a far from normal life sadly. No rights, education is outlawed. Hell on earth for any woman with a brain.
👍
Yes but under terrorist control they will never be truly free.
Afghanistan is one of those countries that I really want to visit before I die. Growing up, I always heard bad things because of the war, but after seeing it through a different lens (you, Bald and Bankrupt) I really feel like I need to see it for myself.
Always welcome
Welp it’s a cheap country and it’s safe I would go there
Make sure it's your last country cause you might not make it out 😂

Restaurants are clean and beautiful
Exactly one thing about taliban is they implemented weekly check ups at restaurants, stores, and factories ect to check standards are being met.
Very much
Cleaner than USA
It is like worst Mcdonald of Italy
Do they have a good wine cellar and range of craft beers. If not, it’s shit.
Thank you so much got the lovely show Davud. OMG u do look like an afghan 😊
Great video mate. Really enjoyed seeing Kabul. Looks an amazing city
So amazing restaurant at 12:05 and food too good.
You are a good soul brother, more power to you
Really enjoy watching your videos my friend. Thanks
Bro thank you so much for this type of content, I love to see places I'll probably never see. Your videos would jump from a B to an A+ if you could add subtitles though. Subtitles would be huge!
I am happy that you are enjoying your trip, but I have some suggestions for you.
I know your Guide is a very honest person. Since you start your journey in Afghanistan he wants to find some low-price restaurants and hotels, and he just wants the best for you. But as a tourist, If you want to experience the best journey in Afghanistan you have to ask them for expensive and luxury Hotels and restaurants. I know there are the best restaurants like Golden Star, The Cafeteria, Zarafat, etc.
and you have to go to Baber Garden where is the Baber Shah tomb and also Darlaman Castle. I hope you enjoy it more and have the best experience in Kabul.
I miss Kabul 🥺 and I am happy that I have the opportunity to see my beautiful Kabul on your RUclips channel.
Thank you!

16:31 - Both pilau and biryani are eaten in Pakistan and are not considered the same at all.
Pilau = chicken or lamb (on the bone), boiled in spices for the fragrant ‘yakhni’ (meat broth) that the rice is then cooked in.
Biryani = the meat sauce and rice are prepared separately, layered in tiers, then steamed. There are many regional variations, with some people adding ingredients such as plums, potatoes and mint.
Pulao is eaten in Pakistan and Afghanistan. In Afghanistan we have various kinds of pulaos. It is cooked in meat broths and usually with meat as well and spices. Biryani is a dish from Sindh region in Punjab. It’s not native to other regions like Punjab and KPk in Pakistan. Diff regions have different cuisines.
