Oh oh oh that’s me, I tracked that one! Okay:
Gear: Les Paul Studio, Classic 57 pickup, fresh 10-46 D’Addario strings. Like, same-day fresh. I used the Neural DSP Fortin Cali Suite for this medley - middle amp, all settings 4, all switches left. You really don’t want a lot of gain. SM57 and Royer 121 blended 50/50, aimed where the dust cap meets the cone. Same thing I do with amps IRL, it just always works
The real secret: Mute that shit tight, it’s all in the technique. No flubby crap. All downstrokes, played hard, and so tight it barely even makes a note :)
