Thats the way to do it , nice one mate .
pretty smooth. I got it working on the ar900
Bravo beautiful subscribed
Yeah, it's a great launching aid, works every time on my Z84....
How high you set your autolaunch max throttle to ? How heavy is your Talon?
great launching i hope you can make a video step by step on inav w/ GT TALON REBEL
My buddy has recently done a how to for inav, the steps are the same for his plane as they are for the Talon GT Rebel. ruclips.net/video/k8wZXAWgtmk/видео.html
Perfect launch! Is that the GP7 on the HD? Looks buttery smooth!
Cheers, yes that's the GoPro 7 Black, with Hypersmooth :-)
hi .Just maiden mine or do all talon gt rebels need about 90 - 100% throttle and a good hard chuck to get up in the air ?
Also what ( nav_fw_launch )settings if I could ask please ? this is what I have now . Wondering if that is god .
( set nav_fw_launch_thr = 1900
set nav_fw_launch_timeout = 7000
set nav_fw_launch_max_altitude = 40000
set nav_fw_launch_climb_angle = 25 )
AdmaG's video was miles better .... 😉🤣 good to see you're still out there mate. 👍👍
Haha mine isn't a how too... More of a "look ma, no hands!" lol
@@grim-upnorth I'm pulling your plonker 😉
@@acgkplh haha, I know... Adam and I are good friends.
Hey man, love the union jack on the wing!
Im having no end of issues with my GT and auto luanch, would you mind letting me know what your launch settings are if you have adjusted them?
my talon GT does the biggest torque roll possible, and almost always ends in tears.
Bit of a shame, once its up in the air it flys great :)
I´m on the same boat mate, having some real troubles getting this one in the air, at the moment, i had crashed more times than succesfull ones.
@@iblackymb Hopefully, someone will come along and shine a light on this issue. Looks like there is a few of us witht he same questions.
Sorry I didn't reply to this ages ago, must have slipped through the net. Here are my launch settings if you're still interested:
set nav_fw_launch_velocity = 150
set nav_fw_launch_max_angle = 180
set nav_fw_launch_thr = 1800
set nav_fw_launch_motor_delay = 200
set nav_fw_launch_timeout = 10000
Hello, i know inam a bit late to the party, but where do you have the cg? I maidend mine today, thought that the stock cg markings are a bit too far forward
Personally I found the stock CG marks just right, never had any issues to be honest.
Hello Charlie, would you share your PID/PIFF settings for the Talon GT, i am happy with this plane but need more tuning, i am sure it can perform better as it does now. Thanks Richard
I'm afraid my PIFF settings would be of no use to you, I still find this plane pretty twitchy and kinda struggle getting it flying nice and smooth. For now I'm pretty much relying on the hypersmooth stabilisation of the GoPro 7 black to get me decent footage lol.
I've had difficulty getting out flying, with everything that's been going on... but I hope to get this tuned better myself the next few times I get the chance to fly.
👍
@@grim-upnorth do you also have the strange height loss when turning in horizon mode? Seems like while turning the horizon doesnt stay level but drops for 2-4 seconds. I cant see the artificial horizon in the dji googles though. But in a turn manually its ok, you gonna need to pull slightly in horizon mode it should do it by itself nut i have the feeling its reacting too late looses height pitches a bit down and than corrects itself. Same with loiter. While circling it looses and gains altitude like a sinus wave once a turn. Any ideas? Roll Pitch board alignment degrees are around zero, which is important i would say
I havent noticed that with mine. I'm going to give mine a throurough tuning session next time I can fly
@@grim-upnorth great 😉
Blueflyer, I love how you painted the British flag on the wing tip, did you painted it by hand? Was that a decal?
Hand painted with acrylic paint
BlueFlyer Great work!! I’ll have my wife do the same with the US flag, she’s the painter in the family
hey man , how did u wired ur vtx up ?? with SA . i got tbs unify hv .... having problem to wire it up the 4th one,,,, & cant share ground with servo coz of different voltages
This is how I wired up my TBS Unify Pro32...
voltage in - VTX Voltage pin on the flight controller
ground - VTX Ground pin on the flight controller
video in - VTX Video pin on the flight controller
smart audio - TX pin on a spare UART on the flight controller.
I don't share ground with the servos. The VTX is powered directly from dedicated pins on the flight controller
good luck 👍✈
@@grim-upnorth i mean to say , we got 6 pin out for wing 3 for servo & 3 vtx how u managed to get 4th wire (SA) of vtx over that connector ? xD
Thanks for sharing!
Does the GoPro 8 fit inside?
I'm not sure if a GoPro 8 fits, but a GoPro 7 defiinitely does. Thanks
Today I had two unsuccessful autolaunch attempts, my Talon aggressively rolls left the moment the motor starts. How d you manage to launch yours so level and without any throttle from start? My Talon AUW =1,300g has been maiden and tuned. Not sure what I’m doing wrong!! I followed the settings your friend suggested on his autolaunch tutorial video plus I found other settings from other Talon GT pilot that successfully autolaunches his Talon without any issues
Is the plane balanced from left to right?
Adam G does FPV, absolutely, in fact, on the last few flights I have I was able to fly and complete a servo autotrim and autotune. Got good results from that and when I do manage to get up and fly, the plane flies flawlessly in angle, ACRO and manual modes. But to get a successful launch I usually crash 4 times and it is getting frustrating. The only think I’ve changed is that I’m flying with APC 9x6 because I broke all of the original props I had, and I haven’t found the replacement from ZOHD. Other than that my setup is like most on this plane: F765/INAV2.4, 4s2p Lithium ion pack, DJI fpv,,AUW=1,313g
How high you have the autolaunch throttle set to,100%?
How heavy is your Talon GT?
@@traxxi2003 Looks like there is a few of us here wit the same issues man! I love my GT, but i crash on launch most of the time..
@@traxxi2003 hello from austria, its the same with my talon i throw it a bit tilted to the right, the momentum turns the plane often hard to the left. And give it a good strong throw, so it has speed and the ailerons can counteract. The slover the plane the less the control surfaces show effect. I still didnt use autolaunch just horizon and trimm upwards during launch, after that i trimm it back to neutral. Its not the most elegant way but it works for me til i'm gonna try the autolaunch.
Nice, whitch Version of INAV ?
I've just upgraded this to 2.6.1
Looks great Mate +Sub 395 / like 32 greetings I am glad to see you
thank you 👍😊
How to setting ???
Do you mean how to set this up inside iNav configurator?
I could do a video on it, but this guy has a video about it already. hope this helps ruclips.net/video/zqAbAYtLHSg/видео.html
How much amp it draws??
Around 25A. You can see the OSD in the bottom right of the video. This is at launch, it's unlikely that this throttle level would be used in flight. Thanks for the comments
Thats a satisfactory news for me ,i was worried about, the factory fitted prop draws about 16 amp,and before two days I switched to 8by6e prop, its drawing some 22amp on 4s !!!
