I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your pup, my condolences!
I haven't tried any card games for very big groups but Exploding Kittens was a hit with my parents and sister whose experience with games does not span too far beyond Scrabble and some standard card games. We also tried playing Love Letter with a friend who has casually played some party games and it went very well, he picked it up quickly and we had a few fun rounds. Also your mention of Fuji Flush reminded me of Hanabi which we've only played at 2 people but it plays up to 5 and it seems simple enough for people who are new to games.

Thanks! I'll look into those games! We mostly play at 2-players, but it's nice to have games that will also play more people!

Sending love for your pup. I am a huge fan of my Quiver (mine is teal) and love small box card games! Bohnanza has worked really well with my family, and I think it's not even worth playing at less than 5p. Another card game I just purchased the 30th anniversary edition of is Take 5 and I think that will be good in this situation too as it plays up to 10!

Thanks❣️ A friend of mine has recommended 6 Nimmt to me & it looks like Take 5 is a variation on that! This may be a good choice to play with the fam---I've got 1 family member whose an alum of UT, so those longhorns will be very appealing😉😆 Wondering if I should track down the anniversary edition🤔 It has a co-op version! Have you tried that yet?

We had a lot of success last Thanksgiving with Times Up. It's like Monikers. It is a hoot! I also think Love Letter could work. I've not played it in a while, but I think it is pretty easy to grasp and the rounds can go quickly for folks dipping in and out.

Thanks! I'll look into Times Up! I've got the digital version of Love Letter, so I know how to play, but I don't think I've ever played a physical copy! I keep meaning to pick it up, but somehow never do!😆 Thanks!

@@teaNgames Love Letter was one of the first games I learned to play so I'm assuming it's simple to teach.

The Crew and The Mind are two of our go to games for generic groups. They usually get trick taking from Spades or Hearts and one nice thing about the Crew is that you don't have to play each game with the same people. They can drop in and out from game to game. And the Mind is super simple to teach.
Monty Python is a good choice for Fluxx but I was a bit shocked you didn't have Firefly Fluxx! Just because...

I feel like there's a limit to how many versions of Fluxx one household should have 😆 --- and Robert has Star Trek Fluxx so we already have 2 versions! I'm not familiar with The Mind...I'll take a look at it! Thanks!
