Doing this list --- making the videos for it --- took a lot longer than I thought it would! It's eaten up most of October. But it's fun looking at such a random assortment of games😆
@@teaNgames Yeah these top lists are a lot of work. We do our top 100 every couple of years and it takes sooooo long. We always start out ok but eventually slow down due to life reasons.
Both Tenpenny Parks and Fossilis appeal to the little kid inside me😁 Theme park & pretend digging up dinosaur bones!🎉😄 But there's solid strategy in the games, too!
"The only thing I don't like about Herbacious is that among the herbs they do not have Basil, which makes no sense whatsoever to me" 😂😂😂 these kind of remarks make Tea and Games unique! ✨👌
Not so unique...Dwayne, over at Blackboard Gaming, has also complained about the lack of basil on Herbaceous😆 Fortunately I grow basil in real life so I don't have to depend on the game for basil🤣
Morels!! We have a smaller version (Fungi) which we love; really cool to see the size difference between the two versions :) We really like Forbidden Island. It was our gateway to Pandemic, and we still use it as such for new people. It’s a really neat game to introduce people to the concept of co-op board games. Silver looks interesting, Does it play well at two players? Fossilis looks really cool and interesting, going to keep an eye out for that. We love cartographers! As I'm sure you know 😅
From what I've read Fungi is the same game as Morels; the apparent differences are because it has a different publisher for England/Europe. I don't know if there's an anniversary edition for Fungi, though🤷♀️ Silver Amulet plays well at 2, some of the other versions of Silver are better with 3-4 players. A lot of people love Silver, so you'll have no trouble finding videos about the game and different versions of it!
@@teaNgames Interesting, will have a check if there is a special version - if not maybe we can make some little frying pans ourself one day (At least, thats what I saw in the photos for the special version? not sure what else might be in the box lol)😊 Thanks for the heads up regarding Silver, will check them out. 💚
The little frying pans (& wooden sticks) are deluxe components; I'm not sure how available they are🤷♀️ You might want to check the publisher's website to see if upgrades are available!
Matt ("Forbidden" series, Pandemic, et al.) Leacock's greatest co-op is a title that, sadly, didn't gain any traction. Thunderbirds (based on the British "Supermarionation" TV series from the 1960s) does Pandemic even better than Pandemic. Well worth a play, at the very least, if you get an opportunity.
@@teaNgames Well then I scrolled back and found your episode 34, where you reported on culling Pandemic from the collection. I have to add, then, that not only is Thunderbirds (in my view) a "perfected" Pandemic-type design, but also that the theme is about 1000x more fun than Pandemic's. (However, following up your observation from ep. 34, Thunderbirds is also very unforgiving. It took me about 7 attempts to get that first win on "easy" level, and even sometimes it can still simply destroy you without a chance. I still love it.) 🙂
@terencemccormick8178 Thanks for the heads up, but, on the other hand, we do have some other tough co-ops, so I won't count it out; I'll research it! 👍
A favorite games list is always so subjective. I know there's a lot of good games that should *probably* be somewhere on my list, but I haven't played them! I have a long list of classic games I haven't yet played! I bet a lot of them are on your favorites list!
@@teaNgames I'm actually fairly new to the board game hobby - just got heavily into it this past January. Before that, I'd play a couple of games a year but didn't have much of a collection. It's been fun exploring new games!
Great List! We love Fossilis, Cartographers, Creature Comforts, etc... We're obviously behind on our watching but working on catching up!

Love Creature Comforts, Tenpenny Parks, and Cartographers. We just learned Fossilis the other night.

I really wanna give Creature Comforts a try. I'm a fan of a cozy game.
Thematically, this is a great fall/winter game! But we play it year 'round!

Thanks for the tip! I've heard of the TV series, but not the game!

I like Herbaceous a lot - although as a solo game, I like Floriferous better. I haven't gotten to try any of the other games on your 40-31 list.
