Shame about the second map pack for Cartographers not arriving in a box :( And about the missing card from Lunar Outpost - good idea though to print it / sleeve it so you can still play with it. Joana and I enjoy a starter mode, it let's us jump in easily and learn as we go. Wingspan was probably the first game we played that used this method to teach the game and it really made it easier to absorb.
Our copy of Wingspan has a pack for a starter mode, but we didn't understand that was what the pack was for until later🤦♀️ So Wingspan is the *only* game with a starter mode we didn't use🤣 I think we'll try it next time we play because I want the cards in the pack😁
I love Calamityware❣️ I not only have the travel mug, I also have a set of the regular mugs & the Christmas mugs! They're especially appropriate when we play co-op games---always a lot of calamities in those! 🤣
Glad to hear all the renovations are complete! How did it turn out and do you like your updated space? We are also believers in a training mode. We just did it this weekend for UnderGrove. It has a game starter sequence exactly like Wingspan where it walks you through your first 4 turns and then advises you on what you need to do next. It helped us get to grips with the mechanics and start working out how our turns should go. The second game, we were on our own and we had really learned it and were zooming!
The living room looks good! Now I just need to keep it tidy😉 We didn't use the training mode for Wingspan...we didn't realize that was what the packet was for!🤦♀️ But we did the "Traininh Mission" for our first play of Lunar Outpost this past weekend. I think it was a bit *too* easy!
@@teaNgames Now do you feel like Lunar Outpost is luring you into a false sense of security only to drop the hammer on you now that the training mission is over?

@JymmiF No, we played the full game (though not the advanced game) & won it...just barely. Made 1 terrible mistake which pushed us right to the limit.
@@teaNgames Congratulations on your victory, regardless.
