Very cool that you're a Red Raven fan. We played Creature Caravan over the weekend and it was so much fun! Also glad to finally have Islebound available and on the shelf.

We're looking forward to playing Creature Caravan! When we unboxed it, we just sat there and went through the deck, looking at all the cards. They look amazing! Thanks for watching and commenting!

I do kind of like rearranging the way things are bagged in a game to suit my set-up needs. Even this week, I just pulled out the insert for UnderGrove and tossed it and my husband looked at me like I was mad. I said, "Let me cook!"and got on with the organization. Congratulations on your 2-year anniversary and for the upcoming episode 100!

Thanks! I'm hoping to record the 100th episode for the channel anniversary later this week!
My husband also looks concerned when I start ripping bits of cardboard out of the box🤣 He always double-checks with me before putting random discarded bits of cardboard in the recycling bin, like he's not sure if I meant to do that😆 A good insert is always better than Random Cardboard Spacer, & bagging for quicker set-up is always better than sorting out two dozen baggies!

Zapotec for $16! Wow!! It really is a great game. At first I was all, 🤔, that's it? Then the more I played I realized what I needed to do to optimize each turn. But oh man, a sleeper hit in our household 👍

A sleeper hit that you really can't sleep on...one lapse of attention (or overthinking🤦‍♀️) and your empire is in trouble🤣 It's shocking how tight this game is. So much to do & so little time to do it! We're still improving our game play and haven't really optimized all our (few) turns! It's so much fun! Thanks for watching!

Great video as always! Also you are making me jealous with all those beautiful Red Raven games...

Well, they're back in print now, so eventually they'll be more generally available! And by getting them retail you can pace yourself instead of being instantly overwhelmed like we are🤣 (Our unplayed games list has taken a serious hit😆)

@@teaNgames Oh I know that feeling (our unplayed list is overwhelming!). But fair point, patience and we can pick them up in retail as we deem fit.

Zapotec has "quick start" cards that I think are quite good. They were part of "Loot Box 1", but i would recommend at least print-and-playing them because the asymmetric start helped really accelerate the game and made for even more interesting considerations.

Oh, wow! I didn't know about that! Thanks so much for commenting!🎉

I'll have to keep an eye out for Zapotec, sounds intriguing. Can you go more in depth into the process of taking your used games into Half Price Books? Would greatly appreciate it, thanks for your time.

The process for selling games to Half Price Books is the same as selling books: every Half Price Books has a counter/area specifically for buying used items. You take it there, say you want to sell it, give them your name, then wander around the store & browse until they call your name. (If you bring in boxes of books or stacks of games, the wait could be long.) Go to the counter & they'll give you your offer. We've never gotten much for games, but books & comics can sometimes add up to a nice amount. How much they offer depends on things like, if it's something they already have a stack of, if they think they can sell it, etc. Occasionally, they'll say that they can't use something & will just donate it (so far this hasn't happened with games, only old paperbacks). You can then choose to leave it with them to donate, or take it back. You never have to take their offer. Different stores (& sometimes different clerks within a store) will value things differently; it's subjective & to some extent based on what they have, what they have room for, what they think the market is. The offer is printed on a piece of paper; there's no negotiation. If you accept it, then you take the paper to the cash register & they give you the money. I don't tend to sell really expensive games to them because they pay very little. But it's a good way to circulate games in the community, making them more affordable for families, & you get a little for them. I hope this answers your question--- Glad I can help!
