Me too. Emma is such a wonderful woman. They would have been a wonderful couple. And they were always so happy together, you can see that in all the photos of Emma and Alan. And then, see the photos with his real wife,, she looked always bored and boring. Always the same meaningless face. And didn´t want kids with him... :-(

Emma is a powerhouse in drama or comedy. I really miss Alan Rickman. Like so many, he was taken too early. Their film set in the Bayou was good, The Lunch? where two exes meet up for an afternoon was very good. And their storyline in "Love Actually" was the best thing abt. the film. It is a sweet film, but their "story" is the only substance in the film. Their acting off of each other, is out of this world. Emma also has one solo scene in "Love", that would make Scrooge cry. Two of the greatest! Thank you.

When he passed, no one talked about it in France. I went to see the Winter Guest at the Champoo (a legendary cinema in the Quartier Latin / Sorbonne area) when I was 20. I have this film on DVD. It is a beautiful film. His role as Colonel Brandon in Sense & Sensibility is wonderful. Saw this at the theatre as well. He was a blast in Die Hard and Robin Hood as well, these were the first times I saw him in a film. Such a commanding presence. I have yet to see the "Versailles" film he was said to release around the same time he left us. Alan Rickman is a truly, madly, deeply missed english actor and film director.
Between Alan Rickman and Bill Nighy, Love Actually had me crying and sighing, laughing and gasping and dying everytime Alan opened his mouth nd spoke. His voice alone is sewduction.

Mmm... I think it was something more complicating that love. Ther are very good friends, they love each other very much, but as friends only. It was a deeply feeling for both of them, but I don´t think it was romantic love. They are married with other persons too.

Saw this movie last night for the very first time on the TBS channel. The cuteness factor outweighed the fact that it was three hours long. I saw Bill Nighy dance around in leather pants like David Bowie, Hugh Grant go all "Saturday Night Fever" on us, and Liam Neeson teach a ten-year-old boy pick-up lines. Then, Alan Rickman held up a Barbie doll that looked like Lady Gaga, and his line of, "No. No bloody holly", is still stuck in my head.

Don't have too much ideas abt. Emma or Alan,but watched some films with Alan and have my own opinion abt. this actor. It looks like he didn't know himself or didn't want to show,what he was in reality. It seems,he was the very reserved person. Maybe,it helped him to hide his private life from fans and journalists,but at the same time,it didn't give him the possibility to play the right roles. Most of roles,which he chose,were not for him.in fact,I found only a few films,where I like him.In my opinion, Truly Madly Deeply looks like film,where Alan has opened a bit his soul to audience. Don't know why it happened. I only can guess, that Jamie ( his role in this film)had too much in common with him in real life. It was impossible to hide. And ,sure,Alan could play this role in such way that film,which supposed to be comedy,turned to tragedy. Love film very much and think Alan played geniously.
