- Today I am finally doing a project which I have wanted to do for YEARS and that is to 3D print a watch winder for my automatic watch.

What a cool print. Also that Shirt is awesome. I once tried to chase down Adam in the downtown streets of Tulsa oklahoma. It was after I skateboarded like 6 blocks yelling for a man with hearing issues. That I realized how insane I looked.
He was on his onewheel and I had no way of catching up to him on a regular skateboard.

What you call a pendulum is a rotor in a watch and what it does is wind a main spring which powers the watch.

Hi. I am new to 3d printing and am very interested in printing this for my Audemar. I had a question. I have a Flashforge 3d printer with 150mm max size so what's the biggest parts size as I don't want to print in 2 pieces and glue
can you give me the original code and schematic because my place does not have a 16mm 5v switch
Do you know if the code has a time out to prevent overwinding? I wish I'd seen this earlier but guess I'll just have to buy the file and have my fun.
Automatic watches can not overwind. They have inbuilt protection. Otherwise you could overwind the watch by simply wearing it.
@@Juroriam actually they can overwind. Lots of watch winders have rest intervals for this reason.
It wouldn’t be hard to add in. I’ve seen other watch winder designs where they only wind for 1 minute every hour, or something similar to that. You could even make it to where it alternates direction with each wind cycle

One question: is it possible to do it without a 3D print? Without code ? Just in a crafting way ?
has anyone tried to modify the code so it will rotate either CW or CCW only? My TAG watch requires 800 rotates CW a day. not 450 each way.

Hi, I have printed all the parts but now I am stuck not knowing how to load the github attachment onto the Arduino Nano board. Please advise.
I am currently printing this winder. im having issues with the alternative code when verifying and sending to the nano it says that " compilation terminated.

HOW DO I LOAD SKETCH ON TO THE NANO
No capacitor or battery inside real automatic watches. its just a spring that stores the energy (springs behave like mechanical capacitors because they are energy storages)

Hi. i use the program but use it on another design. But it don't seems to have enough torque. I can design some gear system to increase the torque, but the rpm on the watch might turn out too slow to be effective to wind my watch.
Is there anything I can change on the program to increase the speed or torque of the motor??
I think you could change the speed but I don't know how to do that.
