Regarding the discussion on tenure: tenure doesn't mean you can't be fired. Tenure means you can only be legally fired under very limited circumstances. Those depend on the university you're in, but usually that boils down to doing something illegal or sexual harassment. I deep fried one of my turkeys this year and it was amazing.
My safety harness wasn't on all the way when they started up Drop Zone at Great America. Luckily I let them know and they stopped it and fixed it correctly. Loved the view, but hated the drop. Never getting on that ever again. Now that I know that someone died on it, NOT GOING NEAR IT!
