I’ve always liked the run animation better from the n64 compared to 3DS- so it’s cool to see the 3DS model with the n64 animations
Specially with adult Link’s original running animation
Exactly what I was thinking
Their animation motion is slower, but movement is the same.
Wait they were different?
The way young Link raises his arms out to the sides with this new model looks a bit awkward but otherwise I think it's good. I think the N64 roll animation looks better too.
One step closer to getting the full 3DS experience! The maps appear to be using the 64 models and there are probably other things too, but it still makes the game look a lot nicer using these two mods. Good to see this kind of thing being worked on!
Map models aren't likely to be any time soon do to tools not being further developed (to my knowledge)
Dont forget animations
Map models?
@@shadowmover63 The 3D models for the places you walk around
@@skilarbabcock yeah i can't imagine it happening right away either, but it'll be cool when it does. i did notice a little bit of stuff looking like it had more depth but that's probably just normal maps, yeah? like the triforce platform in the temple of time.
I've been waiting for a mod like this since the Ship of Harkinian came out, thanks so much man.
I bought Ocarina of time the day after Christmas, 1998. I've been wanting to play it again this week to commemorate its 25th anniversary. What a perfect time for this port.
I've been waiting for this for a couple months!
Been waiting for this for a looong time. Thanks for letting me know
The mix between N64 Ganon / Dark ilumination and 3DS Link is the perfect spot! The best work !
Seems a new game with these mods. really thank you for making this useful video
Can't wait to see same thing for Majora's Mask :O
That's insane !!
Majora's mask already has Project Restoration
is it complete?
@@sallytrix8713 yep
@@SnakeSwiss HOLY COW REALLY? YESSIR!!!
@@SnakeSwisswtf no it’s not lol?
Thank you for showcasing our work!!!
this is such a great way to replay, ty!
Works like a charm. Have it hooked up with my RetroFighters Brawler64 controller. Now I can experience the nostalgia in HD. It's been a long time since I've played OoT, so it's perfect timing. Thank you so much for the guide and thanks to the team behind these awesome mods!
Setting the whole thing up was fun in its own right. The amount of options the port gives you is unreal, and I'm playing it pretty comfortably with this mod pack on an 8bitdo Pro 2. I also created a shortcut with an ocarina icon on my desktop so it looks like a legit game.
Ooh, been looking forward to this.
The N64 running animations just look way snappier and faster compared to the 3DS ones which has everyone run slowly like they're in slow-motion. I also prefer how this uses the N64 lighting, the 3DS lighting seemed to be far more vivid to account for playing in daytime outside so the screen would get insanely dark, but it's not really needed when playing on pc.
The animations match the 3DS art change better in the 3DS remaster. That’s why they changed them. They look terrible like this
@@Fuk99999so you’re saying this looks bad?
no they're just saying the n64 animations just don't fit the 3ds graphics@@_Mikeebeed_
@@_Mikeebeed_yes
of course sonic would be the one to say this
Looks incredible
amazing tutorial, thank you so much. time to play this again ;)
Woah, so nice that RUclips suggested that video!
God, yesterday i wondered to play 3ds version because of the graphics and now you show me how to do in the PC port... MUCH THX
I've been messing with this on Switch and its just as awesome! Glad to see this recommended!!
Can you just use mods on the Switch version? I'm considering putting this on my Wii U. Should be powerful enough I guess
@@SterkeYerke5555 you can, though I haven't tested with all of this, only replacing Link and some minor other stuff. Seems to lag already
@@InnerMobius Bummer. Are you using a Switch or a Wii U? Surely the Switch must be powerful enough for an N64 game with 3DS models? I would've expected the Wii U to do fine as well
@@SterkeYerke5555 im using the switch
@@user-fk2xg8nq6r Can you confirm that we're memory bandwidth limited? My Wii U can run SOH without any issues at 1080p 30fps. It performs pretty much the same when I'm loading in all of these mods except the Main Textures file of Djipi's 3DS Experience, but it suddenly grinds to a halt when I load that in. It'll only do 540p and it barely maintains 30fps with only the main textures installed. I guess we'd need either a half or even quarter resolution texture pack of that mod for decent performance. Probably would still look better than the original textures tbh
Almost getting both of best worlds in one place now. ❤SoH❤
Oh yeah, I've been waiting for this.
Glorious...
Kinda wish I could see the changed animations, like Link's new jumping animations.
😲 - Woah, this is really impressive!
Best of both worlds. I wanted this!
This looks SO GOOD
Cool video!
Nice port 👍✨
Ohh wow looks amazing 👏 😍
very nice!! thank you for this
Thank you very much, your video helped me, congratulations!!!
Final boss, improved models but keeping the original lighting and atmosphere. I love it.
epic demonstration of CHOICE is KING
I beat the 3ds version like 4 years ago so this texture pack is a must for me!
It looks how I remember it as a kid. Awesome
3DS models with the dark lighting in the final boss. Best of both worlds.
I didn't even know there was an Ocarina of Time PC Port...
Well, thanks for letting me know the 3DS version graphics have been ported!
I'm gonna have a real blast!
Amazing! Thank you.
I think most of the time (not always) the original graphics have much better art with careful choice of colors and all. The remaster graphics are cool and all but a little all over the place honestly.
It looked better on the 3DS. It had a dim screen, so it didn't look as vivid. The 3DS remake was done using the original source textures before they were compressed for the cartridge, as well as the unreleased design documents and reference art. Those of us who had the Player's Guide got to see some of the art made for the game that did not make it to the manual but was used as a reference. There were a lot of details that the N64 failed to accurately show, resulting in a lot of ambiguity. Seriously interesting stuff to flip through. Personally, I think whatever OoT remaster comes next should attempt to really parse the two one more time to match that concept art without the limitations of the N64 or 3DS' tiny dim screens.
BRO, YOU ARE INSANE!
THIS! This is what I was waiting for!
I grew up with the remake and prefer it's visuals much more over the original version.
I wonder if people can also port the animations over somehow, since some differ a lot from the N64 version and have much more energy in them.
Custom animations are already possible, so it's likely this will be done in the near future :)
Edit: I was mistaken, my bad!
@@ultracreed3080
Oh the future looks great then! 🥳
Thanks for the information!
@@gamerowl9934custom animation and custom scenes on SoH aren't possible yet
They arent@@ultracreed3080
There still no custom animation support which why some of the effects dont look right example the oot clipping through zelda hand in the ending
This is peak gaming, just wow.
AMAZING VIDEO.. Now I can make a run and use my old N64 PC controler
Oye amigo, eres increíble, gracias por tu tutorial .
this is really cool. I always wanted to play the 3ds version with rumble

My favorite game ever. It looks amazing.
Wow!. Just amazing.
Wow so cool i want to play the way you can on pc but cool video!
😁😄
Time to get my nostalgia on
Fr tho, it's nice to see the game with these new models that match the ui texture packs much better
Beautiful
Thanks for the info @Ultra Creed, King of the North, Robb Stark.
I actually can’t believe Nintendo hasn’t given this the full blown switch remake ala FF7.
Frrr right!! What is Nintendo waiting for?!
@@fabiantalton6888 eiji aonuma doesn't believe it's important and thinks it is only nostalgia that makes people want to go back and play these games.
@@beardalaxy my god u saw one interview where he questioned why people want a linear oot like game if they can botw type zelda. dont spin his words its bs. they will do this sooner or later like every zelda switch/wii u/3ds port/remake
@@zakzerak7191 it'll never happen as long as the current people in charge at Nintendo are still around. If it does, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

thank you. i wish i had this a long time ago, but never too late i guess.
what a amazing video tks
no puedo esperar para usar el ReShade y personalizar las texturas a un estilo mas Twilight Princess, mas aun jugar Majora's Mask en su versión original pero con los modelos de la N3DS!
gracias por el video.
pretty cool
I'd love to see the 3DS animations ported
The 3ds graphics with the Smash melee Link models are perfect
I like this version more than the 3DS one. I think Link moves more like the N64 one. They slowed adult link down in the 3DS and slightly increased young link and i think Link looks alot better in this, the tunic and everything looks so much more accurate. Amazing job i cant wait to play this!
I lik Links running animation in the old N64 version, just had more energy to it compared to the slower jog he has in the 3ds remake, just a tiny thing really.
Can't wait for someone will make Link in minecraft, Gmod, or any other game that has great mod support.
This guy is super cute thanks for the great guide!
OOT Reloaded is my preferred way to play. It looks so good.
Omg Citra will need to rethink it's whole existence.
Hope sometime the 3DS animations are ported over.
Need 3D models of every character in the game then it'll be complete. 👍 CANT WAIT till what they have in store for us for Majora's Mask! :D Hope they make SoH VR COMPATIBLE too! :D With VR Headsets. :)
Nice. It's not the incomplete Djipi version.
The one thing I've realized is that Grezzo had taken some creative liberties when remaking some of the assets of Ocarina of Time for the remake, most notably in Hyrule Castle Town. As a purist myself, I would have tried to match the look and architecture straight down to the "T", but obviously make it look better than in the original game. Hopefully, someone does a fan remake that tries harder in matching the intentional style of the game, much like how the Render96 Project does with Super Mario 64. Glorious demonstration, nonetheless!!!👍👍👍
it's come a long way, but I feel like a lot of the textures/colors look very...flat? I think the lighting needs to be majorly improved before I consider using this. Hyrule Field's grass for example looks completely unshaded, and as a result, it ends up looking like one of those "HD texture packs" for Minecraft or something...
there are reshaders you can use to give it better lighting
Do you have a link to a specific reshader that goes well with the 3DS experience+models?@@funcamp_ltd.
Could there be a bug in the conversion of the resources? I haven't played the 3DS version, but I can't imagine the rupees to be completely without shine like this.
There's a setting to use 3D models instead of sprites for pickups that makes the rupees look better.@@FreeScience
I've got this up and running thanks to you! So thank you! Do you know if there's is any way to map toggling between the modded and original graphics to a key or controller button? It would be great to change it on the fly according to what you want to see in any given area without having to go through the settings menu every time. Going to sub to your channel!
Thanks for the friendly comment!! You can switch between the new and old graphics using the tab button :) for as far as I know, you can't change the key bind as of now. Hope I helped!
@ultracreed3080 ah that's so cool! Thank you for replying. I'll give that a try!
Thanks for this! I did notice the rupees don’t seem to render properly on my machine, they seem mostly black
Still looks very different but it's getting closer
Best version of OOT to date. PCMR
I'm waiting for the graphical updates similar to what we got with Render 96 on Super Mario 64 PC port
This is what I'll have my children play.
Now if only we could use Henrikos 4k DS pack for this. Regular 4k texture pack will have to do for now.
Holy shit, I haven't heard ANYONE ever once mention GameBanana, not since the days of it being called FPSBanana, that took me back
The Enviroment Textures has improved Granted some parts are close to the 3DS but that is no were near 3DS Texture's, lighting Ect thats going to take a while
Hope someday a pc port for Kid Icarus Uprising would be possible
Now this really looks like a gamecube game
I’m curious what the game would be like with the 3ds map, but running in the n64 code. The 3ds map accounted for stuff that the 3ds physics changed, but with the n64 physics, some stuff might be a bit different. Probably nothing too crazy, but it’s still pretty neat!
I can't wait till people start decompiling 3DS games that would be awesome I really want people to start doing that for the game I really want fully decompiled his brawl and Mario kart Wii and Mario kart 7 I really want to see custom characters in Mario kart 7 that don't replace others ctgp7
the fact that Nintendo doesn't want to do PC editions of their games is pure insanity
13:57 ah, there's one consequence I was expecting to see of it being a 'texture pack', essentially. The feet are still fixed to the original bridge, floating above the new one
21:35 to 21:39
This is what i want to see in the ganon fight, only when the lightning flashes do we get a glimpse of what he looks like
Aww bummer the rainbow bridge to Ganon's Castle should have kept the flowing colors effect. Looks really plain in the mod.
They should look into using Henriko Magnificos textures for this PC port
It's the opposite way, get Henriko doing his pack for SoH lol
@@purplehatoWhat does Soh mean?
@@icemaster54isaac86 SoH - Ship Of Harkinian, the OOT PC Port
@@purplehato Yeah, I saw it on RUclips.
@@purplehato I saw the SoH thing on a RUclips video.
I hope the Boss and enemies coming soon
After 15 years of playing OOT, I’m only just now discovering there was a blue rupee hidden in the shop at 3:50
omg yes the 3ds graphics without the awkward movement that the 3ds version introduced
The 3ds animations look way more natural imo. He swings out his arms way too far in the 64 version
@@Perrier_enjoyer idk every time I see the 3DS movement I think of GTA jumps and it doesn't sit right with me. Something about the way he jumps in the N64 Zeldas just screams BA to me
I’d like to see this but with 4K textures. I’d also like to see an orchestrated music mod. They have a lighting mod on gamebanana as well. I’d like to see more of that. There’s an FFVII mod that has voice acting as well. That would be cool for cut scenes. We are getting so close to a perfect remaster.
Are environment models (geometry, buildings, etc) and lighting affected also or is it just textures + character models?
I still would miss those QOL changed the 3ds version brings such as making boots items, and the additional item slots so I can quickly use and have multiple things equipped. I can only imagine the water temple without being able to hotkey iron boots *shudder*
Dude you can do that with the PC port. You can put items to the D-pad
I always hot key iron boots to D-pad down on pc port
What I wanna know is, does the 3DS Experience port over the pathing in the Water Temple that the actual 3DS has? The lines showing you where to go to alter the water levels, I mean.
Now we need to port the perfect dark assets from the 360 remaster to the pc port
one day they will do the same with Majoras Mask and then I will be there
Good news for you then! Majora's Mask has been succesfully decompiled, meaning there will be a pc port in the coming months by the same people :)
is it possible to mix and match textures and models? for instance just importing the pre rendered backgrounds? thanks
OoT Reloaded is still the best overall imo but I like the prerenders in this one.
Yeah it's cool
