I know that campground as well, there is a path down to the swimming hole that the CCCs helped build. Thanks for watching and I always appreciate the comments 🍻😎
That's fantastic! I hope you own a Himalayan so you can ride around on all those Forest Service roads in the area. You are gonna love it! Check out my video on the "Smith River Scenic Byway" I work up in that area often and always stop at the cafe for breakfast. Congrats on the new house and thanks for watching, My Canada trip videos will be coming out soon. Cheers! Forrest
@@NorthboundMotorcycleADV no dispersed camping allowed due to fires:( I was fortunate to get one night in the Jedediah Smith State CG. It was great. The next night traveling South i wasn't so fortunate. I ended up at Navarro River Redwoods State Park off Hwy 128. It was a dump w/ no water. I was hoping to stay at Jedediah Smith on the way home but it was full so I kept going to Gold Beach and stayed at the Motel 6. Hopefully next summer we'll have less fires/smoke and I'll have more options.
@@rogermeyer860 that’s too bad about the closure and the fires, but at least you were able to get into Jedediah Smith, that’s a great campground! I’m with you, I hope next summer we will have less fires and more options for sure :) Thanks for the update!
Thanks so much for the kind words, My hope for the series is that it will expose people to parts of California that they might not have known about before. I’m glad you found this video helpful and there’s more to come. Thanks again for watching 🍻😎
Three years ago I passed a CHP on the 199 going the opposite direction. I was doing 70 and certain he was gonna U-turn and come after me, so I dove into the Jedediah Smith Campground and ditched him.
😂 I would agree,…my campsite was a short one minute walk to Hurdy-Gurdy Creek and could hear the creek from my campsite. There are a lot of places to camp right next to water up there. On that day all of my “go to spots” already had someone in them 😂 so I chose a spot away from people on this one so I could film in peace 😎 Thanks for watching (I’m also planning on camping up there again in the coming weeks so I’ll show you some of those spots 😎🍻)
Across from Patrick's creek lodge is a small campground. We stayed there in scouts.

I can't even imagine being that close to rivers and creeks and deciding to camp where there's no water.
