Your videos are a joy to behold ! Your enthusiasm and boundless, the search for beauty and willingness to share so we too can be thrilled is greatly appreciated! You guys are the dynamic duo !
Sarah this video brings a lot of memories back. It has been 52 years since I have been up there. was going to Oregon to visit a friend from work who moved to Oregon. It has not changed hardly at all. Just beautiful up there. The trees just buried the highway. Can still feel the moist air and the smell of the forest. Thank you for the fantastic video.
The whole NW made me feel the way you felt in this one. It's got it all, even a rainforest❤! Cool little towns too😊 Can't wait to get back. Thanks for sharing!
Wonderful journey you're on Sarah so happy for you. Green and blue river in one trip very cool. The whole area was really picturesque. Enjoy, enjoy your journey of life Take care.
Love this part of the country! Takes me back when I was a kid living there. I'm in Northern Colorado now and love the area but it's time to come back 'home' after seeing this. Thank you for the video. :)
Hey Sarah thanks for all the awesome videos and sharing your life with all of us! You're definitely one of my heroes! The Redwoods are my favorite place and Oregon and Washington are going to be just as great! If you have the time it's worth it to make it over to Jedediah Smith redwoods - absolutely stunning and endless gigantic trees and more of the Smith River too 😊 If you're heading up 101 into Oregon take the time to stop and see some of Samuel H Boardman Scenic Corridor about 40 minutes north of Crescent City! I was stunned the first time I saw on Natural Bridges Cove there on my way up to Washington. Check out some of the pictures online and see if it's for you or not. Safe travels and I'll be following right behind you watching your great videos. 😄✌️
You’re going to absolutely love Oregon and Washington. I moved to the Olympic Peninsula 5 years ago from Palm Springs CA and I pinch myself every day at the wonderful trees and ferns and clean rivers around me. I’m in absolutely heaven
Welcome to the state of Jefferson. Not the usual looking KOA. Magic happens in the Redwoods. I've seen the little people. You shine in this environment. Hope to be in WA in July. Maybe our paths will cross.
Awesome Sarah, you took me through the greatest parts of my trip of 10 years ago to visit my much older sister in Crescent City. This video made me cry! I love the Smith River! My sis passed away last year without a memorial you just gave me one for her. This was her favorite place along with those big trees. Her spirit rests there I know! Thankyou so much! Now go see the Rogue, Applegate, Umpqua and the Santiam Rivers In OR and don't forget to checkout the Cascade Mountain Passes all are beautiful. The Mt. Jefferson National Forest is my favorite. There is so much to see you can't do it all in one month Sister Sarah, you'll be back. Sign me Naitive Oregonian...am really thinking hard about whether I want to transplant myself in AZ. But the White Mtns are calling...☮️&🐩🐩⛺️
Hi Sarah I use to live in Grants Pass Oregon. We would visit the Redwoods a lot . It’s so magical indeed . I use to gold pan and fish the Rouge River . There was a story that came out of the Local newspaper that a man and his young son were skipping rocks on the shore in The town of Grants Pass when he noticed his little boy was just about to toss a 2 lb gold nugget and caught his hand just in time lol . Watch out for black bears out there . They have metal bear boxes to keep you food in and you better use them or risk getting a fine if you don’t. little One is crazy adorable lol . Safe travels 🙏❤️
That color river is insanely gorgeous! You found a beautiful place indeed. It reminds me of the Ho Forest in Washington state that I saw on Mick Dodge’s show years ago. Hope you two are enjoying everything! Hugs & love to you guys!!❤️❤️
Wow. That is the clearest river I have ever seen and the other one is the bluest. It definitely has been a long time since I have seen that thick of forest. Very beautiful area you came across 😊
Just wanted to add, if you get a chance when you're in Oregon, you should visit a very beautiful area called Crater Lake, which is in a very remote area of central Oregon, Jeepsy!
You have loyal followers like me. Native Houstonian. I get to west coast every few years But have to check on relatives in KC and AL. Keep strong and safe.
So amazingly, breathtakingly beautiful 😍 I grew up in Washington, just north of Seattle. You’re going to love it. After being away for over four decades I cannot wait to get back there in my little camper van. Will you visit the eastern part as well as the coastal areas? They are two very different worlds. You’ll definitely be happy to have a whole month to explore. Don’t forget the San Juan Islands too. I’m so excited for you!!
Thank you again , for sharing, it,s a beautiful place, makes these old eyes want to travel, our world is a beautiful place, ,keep doing what your doing. Much love from the OZ, aka Ozarks
Awesome camp! Just remember to watch out for widow-makers anytime you camp/park under the big Redwoods. I’ve seen the damage a little piece of bark falling from a giant Redwood can do to a car. That said, I love your spirit! Enjoy the trees! 😊👍🏼
When you make it up to Washington state I definitely would recommend you go visit both Olympic National Park & Mount Rainier the tallest volcano in North America. I worked at both of these parks & they are worth seeing. Maybe you already have them down on your itinerary but I thought I would mention it to you. When I used to live in California and one of my favorite places to always visit was the Red wood forest like up in Mendocino county which is right of the coast of the Pacific Ocean.
Oh, so beautiful, I have not been, yet, I e been to old growth forest in Oregon and up to Mt St Helens...it constantly smokes..all amazing...I'm liking how you talk, looking forward to your story you'll be telling . Ty for this vlog Dave
On my bucket list to visit you folks. I can't believe how many rivers you folks have! You could throw a rock and it would land in a river wherever you are. ;)
900% tree's planted on my property this year...love tree's. Love rocks...I got to see the redwoods once. Ps: I'd have my gold pan out and be pulling some shiney out of there. lol Stay safe
It warms my heart to see you in the great PNW! (Carnelian agate country) I am huge fan and a traveler with a jeep as well. I bought my jeep in Arizona and made my way back up here in it. Im a lifer now! Love you happy travels.....hope to meet you on the trail someday. ps I live in Olympia wa
Beautiful, love trees too. When you get to Oregon/ Washington youll have the mt & the beautiful trees & the OCEAN 🌊 I couldn't do without the mountains 🙏
Gosh! Wonder where you are tonight. Southern Oregon, I guess. Wednesday evening in NW Oregon and its a beautiful time. There is so much to see. Take your time.
When you make it to WA State, there is a unique turquoise lake to see in the North Cascade mountains called Diablo Lake…..put it on your must see list. It is that color in the summer months. It is so gorgeous….I promise.
A month in Wa...couger co. St Helens is worth it, nice little hike next to it so you can see the crater, just below is Spirit Lake, view of Ranier...just blabbing do what you want...😎🌼✌️
Gortex is your friend up here. It is a temperate rain forest after all. Look at the weather patterns and hit the coast when the winds come from the east and plan accordingly. Better hurry, this year is looking like a dry year and fires might be an issue. As a general rule its best to hit the eastern parts of OR and WA in the spring early summer then hit the coast when it starts getting hot. I prefer the ocean so I live further north on 1.
I have family in the area a little ways south of Crescent city. I did not know about the smith river. I will check the area out the next time I'm visiting with family.
When you get to Washington stay out of the cities. The beaches aren't crowded, but the Cascades are amazing and you could spend a whole month exploring them.
You're right, it is preparing you for what's in Oregon and Washington. When you get to Washington oh, don't be fearful of a hermit named Dodge. If he is still alive, he lives in the forest totally off-grid, and barefoot. But he doesn't really care for tourist. He was covered on the History Channel at one time. But you're right, northern Oregon and Southern Washington is mostly rainforest. If you get a chance check out the Snake River oh, it's a whole lot faster than this but it's beautiful. And if you could try to hug one of these redwoods, you're going to need some help😊. I'm a firm believer in everyone planting a tree possibly more somewhere in the United States. Trees are life givers, they Supply the oxygen we need and they survive off of our breath. So there's a definite connection between trees in humans, but trees can't take care of humans physically, so humans need to take care of the trees. As well as certain plants.😊 again it's great to see you smile, and it looked like little one was anxious to get outside when you were sitting in the Jeep.❤
If you come to Canada were I am from, you will get extreme crystal clear water. Across all of our land from east coast to West coast. I wish I could take you on a tour!!! With my Jeep Liberty Artic Edition.
I love trees too! What a beautiful area!😂❤ I just got out of the hospital and I'm upset because they left me soooooo weak from all their drugs!!!! I need to re tune my poor body. They misdiagnosed what my issues were I'm pretty sure😢 it's really all covid leftovers. Anyway I enjoyed your vlogs while stuck in hospital. Thank you so much.😊
Yer in my backyard!!! I live in hiouchi and the smith is literally across the street from me. Wish i had known you were around, i wouldve taken you to lunch at the hiouchi cafe and given you the down low on some secret spots.
Your videos are a joy to behold ! Your enthusiasm and boundless, the search for beauty and willingness to share so we too can be thrilled is greatly appreciated! You guys are the dynamic duo !
Smith River is awesome. You have to apply for a paddling permit. It is a multi-day paddling river and one of the finest in the country. Good score!
We love you being up here ! Hugs to you both !!
Beautiful scenery, Sarah ❤
I grew up in Crescent city. Some of my favorite memories are playing and hiking there. And the beaches.
It was awesome exploring and thank you for showing us around

Pure bliss, large evergreens and a river flowing by, the less people there the better!
So amazing, I was down there in 2020. You are living your dream! Love your vids, and that is the most adorable dog, so sweet and smart. Chris
Once again, you've knocked it out of the park with another amazing video, Jeepsy!
Wonderful journey you're on Sarah so happy for you. Green and blue river in one trip very cool. The whole area was really picturesque. Enjoy, enjoy your journey of life Take care.
Crescent City has a very vibrant history. Many characters of the old west were in that town. And the mid-1800s
P

Glad you enjoyed the Smith River. There are 100's of similar streams and rivers in Oregon and Washington!
I loved this! I want the go this summer too! So inspiring, thank you ❤
I've been to Medford, Jacksonville and Grant's Pass OR. Beautiful at Grant's Pass.
Wow! Beautiful! The crystal clear water. The sounds. Those views are like famous works of art.
Welcome to the state of Jefferson. Not the usual looking KOA. Magic happens in the Redwoods. I've seen the little people. You shine in this environment. Hope to be in WA in July. Maybe our paths will cross.
You made it to the Redwoods! Yay! Enjoy the area it's gorgeous! If you get a chance drive through Jedidiah Smith State Park, the trees are awesome!
Awesome find. Love that beautiful river. I can sit and watch it for a long time. So relaxing.

I don’t no what’s more beautiful the trees or the noisy river with the beautiful scenery. You sure know how to pick them. Have more good adventures.

The smith tiver is the last wild, un-damned river in California
Blue because it's probably pretty cold 😉
@@54andBored trust me, it is!
I love this! Deep roots and standing tall and strong. Just like you!
Great shot of the Jeep beside the Redwood tree! You are right about the River!

The coastal redwoods are one of the most beautiful things in this country. One of the things I miss about my home state .
So amazingly, breathtakingly beautiful 😍

Yes... beautiful... 👍
Alaska sounds exciting
There are two parks, that I would not overnight in. Glacier, and Olympic. Same reason, too many grizzlies.
