    Awesome job Maji, you hear the division chief is worried about electricity and water! He’s ask them too back out for now, until they know about the electricity!
    I know we have talked about electricity, that’s not shit you want too be working with, especially with water!

    • @rickk6447
      @rickk6447 3 года назад +2

      Maji, you heard that they had shut the power off, and yet there was still electricity and power running into the buildings. That must be why, they were waiting for the street power too be turned off also, what a mess! Great job Maji, and once again, FDNY, your all the Greatest! Every one of y’all!...

      @John-ru5ud 3 года назад +2

      The feeder lines from the street to the interior transformers belong to ConEd. They need to shut them down at the connection to the power grid. The building (or the FDNY) can pull the power circuits on the low voltage side of the transformers.

      @@John-ru5ud Thanks John, I think the Division Chief didn't want the FDNY to mess with the Electricity & mixing it with a lot of water. I'm not sure I could keep track of all that, I guess that's why there chiefs! I just can't say enough about how Great the FDNY really are! I know a lot of people from around the World, admire them, me included! When you watch the little things, you can see, they're trained really well! I don't know how they did after 9/11, losing 343, and all that knowledge they had, and then it's gone. I wonder if they had a hard time, like gaps or hiccups, in the overall system? From all that knowledge, that was lost that day? I think one of the New Probies, was Tony. And he was in a TV program where two brother were doing a documentary with the FDNY. And I remember someone saying, he went from a Probie to a Fireman, that day. Oh, I know they got through it ok, but I wonder if there were hiccups, in knowledge? Sorry, I really Love the Professionalism! I watch Maji's video's, and I don't see s lot of people getting close to them, which tells me they trust Maji immensely! I know there's others, but I don't see them getting as close as Maji does! Respect!...

    Good safety alert by chief early on regarding the throwing of high voltage switches. Let the experts (ConEd) do the work. The ConEd person at 45:00 appeared to be checking the list of circuits to be disconnected. Rooms are typically sectioned into vaults (concrete walls to contain fires).

    I guess the white smoke comes from smouldering insulation or some coolant that's overheating. This can become really nasty when one of those old transformers overheat to a point that the coolant (oil with PCBs) starts burning. There are some pretty entertaining videos out showing failing high - voltage transformers. Ah, just a question: the bloke in blue shorts at 7:50 is the shofa, right? And if so, do the shofas at the FDNY always wear this kind of outfit? Thanks!
