This sounds amazing! The Black Sea has always been shrouded in legend, from tales of lost cities to historic battles. The potential discoveries could provide invaluable insights into the ancient world. Fingers crossed for some well-preserved artifacts!

Saying that these sort of documentaries are addictive, is a major understatement!!!….🤑if I’m ever locked in financially , It will be my wildest dreams come true, to treasure hunt the seas , my life away..,..🤩
The next part is up on the channel now. It's called "The priceless byzantine treasures lost at sea". They really should link it, or at least put part 1 in this title so we knew there'd be more, it did seem to end abruptly and randomly lol🤷♀️ but anyways..👍 ❤️❤️❤️❤️
What? Did they dive the wreck? Why'd it just end while I was on the edge of my seat? 😭 I wanted to know more about the wreck. I hope there's a part 2. This was fascinating.❤
haha, there IS a part II (Secrets of Ancient Empires), I remember watching it on either Discovery/History/Science Channel. might be available if you're a subscriber to one of those services.
Ya know that I was an Oiler/Engineer on a Canadian Research Vessel and we were one out of 3 ships that were testing the ROVs when they first were invented here in British Columbia and I happened to be in the lab watching the monitors when they put the very first one in the water and I even said to the guys that they should put some kind of arm for a grabbing device lol and just look at how far they have come
As long as there is something to be discovered, men will continue to do what they have done since time immemorial: pursue what is hidden. But it must be said that new technologies have made the work of archaeologists much easier. In the past, persistence was essential, because making a surprising discovery was something that depended on infinite unsuccessful attempts. Now that sophisticated equipment pinpoints with great precision where something interesting might exist, archeology depends more on a lot of money than on the resigned patience of those who accept making many mistakes to get it right just once after decades.
Same feeling here. Watch how techs used by "Time Team" have been progressing over the years : from some kind of electronic walking stick in 1993 to quad driven magnetometry and resistometry, GPR, LIDAR, and combined sciences investigations today... Amazing !
Probably the most intelligent comment I have ever read on RUclips. You my friend would make a great teacher. Which this country is in desperate need of people like you to inspire the young people of today. Thank you for your insight and intelligence
Yes but the true art and passion for it hasn't changed. It might be easier to find but much harder to intricate logging in detail the finds and discoveries. Technology has gotten better but so has the field. Documentation is way better now vs then.
@@moemuggy4971 My point is, that that ship is from Norway, it is owned by a Norwegian company, is registered in Norway and sails under Norwegian flag, not Swedish or Danish flag. It is from a specific country.
Are you daft? They literally showed you wooden beams and ropes used hundreds of years ago that look like they sank last week. Go back and watch it again. This time don't comment until you've actually watched the video.
Because we know there wasn't any single worldwide flood, or it could be seen by geologists. Scientists and Biblical scholars alike have been searching for centuries, and so far there is nothing but a few large local floods like this one. Big, yes, but hardly Worldwide. Not to mention the supposed Biblical flood happened 2350 BC, and we know that many cultures were thriving and doing well at this time, like the Chinese, Egyptians, and the Sumerians. Just to name a few. These cultures never went anywhere. It's a fairytale with a dash of truth told to children.

yes, water is H2O (oxygen) but it's bonded and thus doesn't cause degradation of the wrecks, "free" oxygen concentrations enter the water through external means so at shallow depths, there's a lot of biological activity, which means more oxygen. once you get down to lower depths where there's little biological activity, free oxygen levels can be at near zero.

Scripture is based on the understanding of the time it was written. It was all written by men. Yes, it is known as God's word but still it was written in human understanding. Surely you can consider that Scripture is not exact fact but God's way of teaching morals and ethics. It doesn't make scientific evidence (using current technology) any less factual. It also doesn't change the narrative of Scripture.
Clickbait ! VERY disappointed in this channel ! (Video abruptly cuts off and leaves audience hanging just when finally an interesting wreck appears to have been located.)
This is disappointing, don't waste time. Hard to tell if there is something vital going on here OR its just the worst video, terrible editing, sound levels NO way to tell. They do demonstrate the lack of video skills while you see the millions spent on their of sea worthy ship. So? Forget it.

Exactly!
I've heard that studies of sediment near the Bosporus Strait show the flooding was gradual over about half a century

Music is to loud over the speech, I can often not understand it.
Why is there a zip tie and what looks like a partially burried coffee can on that last wreck?
Maybe it those items dank at a much later date, possible considering how much time elapsed
WOW! Ancient pre-flood "ESCHUR" (Euskera), 8764-4502bc, habitations found? (NOT! 87,640-45,000ya).
Is Genesis history some boring but soom is great alot of it is on the flood movie really really good @ beyond 😊😊
How does the "oxygen in the water disappear"? Isn't water h2o?
Russian battleships are an interesting asset for the future of underwater archaeology 😂
I want to know in Indonesian waters, are there many old ships too?
