Have had the mimic for almost 2 years now and shill it to anyone with ears. I’ve used it to great affect with two half stacks, but Even if you’re playing by yourself in front of your computer, as long as your interface has two inputs, run two instances of whatever vst you use, hard pan them left and right and you now sound like 2 guitar players, or your riffs double tracked. It’s the only doubler I’ve ever used (including digital) that sounds convincing. Like he said lts extremely limited in its application, but for what it does you simply can’t beat it.
Almost the same as my board, except I also have a stereo chorus and reverb to along with the delay. My amp doesn't do cleans well so I also have a clean channel pre amp pedal, a compressor for cleans, an EQ for cleans and an acoustic simulator which is also part of the clean sound. Finally I have a loop switcher to control the tap dancing. But my main tone are the SD-1, PD, Decimator and HM-2 (in my case actually a KMA Guardian).
That would be like having 4 guitarists live. Which could be hard to mix at the board. I saw Kyle and his drummer open for Goatwhore the other night and I must say Vitriol sounded like a five piece (their bassist couldn’t be on tour). I swear Kyle was running both the bassist’s pedalboard and this this one. It was wild.
I've had the pleasure of seeing vitriol multiple times and one of those times got to meet the crew and hang out with all of them, at that time they were a four-piece and had their original drummer. He later moved on and original bass, Kyle and their rhythm guitar player pressed on. Unfortunately as I had seen on their Instagram, they are now a two-piece. Just Kyle and his newer drummer. Adam the former bassist, I don't know exactly for what reason yet but I assume it's financial, had to leave the band. It's a sad day, I really love these guys and they deserve more
I'm supposed to see them in a couple of weeks. Hoping to talk to Kyle, he seems troubled but talented and I think he'll land on his feet. The new album is incredible.
Too many people dont take the time to learn about signal flow and how effects (FXs) order have an affect on the outcome sound or desired end result. No, dumping all the ingredients into a mixing bowl for a cake all at once to get the same Cake at the end of cooking absolutely will never always turn out as palatable! The order in which the ingredients are introduced absolutely is the Mastery for the final meal, ALWAYS !! Kyle *Clearly* understands signal chain, cause and affect etc influencing signal, final audible outcome.
Back when I was playing. My thing wasn’t shredding. I fucking suck with shredding. I dig riffs and putting together the full picture of a tune. My rig was a passion. Putting together something that would sound sick live and to match recordings. I miss playing. Chris, my EP is on RUclips. Skies To Conquer. 2013 recording. Haha
I built a stereo rig for the same reason using the rackmount RJM effect gizmo full stereo mod, RJM mastermind gt10 midi foot controller, two RJM amp gizmo mini amp channel switchers. I put all my pedals on rack shelves and use a mimiq doubler. Running thru a Mesa Mark V and EVH Stealth.
I understand the pedal/tone bug, I have the same pedalboard, just not the riser, mine has 30 pedals and two small switcher boxes, and my amp's channel switcher along with my wah, volume, and two expression pedals don't fit on it and sit on the ground in front of the board, I kinda need like a plank of wood or something to mount those to to make it a little easier to move, mine is powered by a Pedal Power 2, Pedal Power 3, and a Cioks 8 and 7 :P i have power for one or two more things! That's my main rhythm guitar rig i write my songs on and spend most of my time on, i also have a smaller bass rig pedalboard and my lead guitar rig is a wet/dry/stereo amp setup (the wet amp has a stereo fx loop) that's also a smaller amount of pedals, but i'm still slowly adding to those two rigs, my main rig is pretty much finished, anything else I add will be highly unique things if I come across them, and will need a riser shelf for :P it's for sure an obsession, but insane amounts of fun! Just expensive :/
Nice to see Joe Anastasio getting props for his pedals. I love my Left Hand Wrath pedal. Lone Wolf Audio/Void Manufacturing is definitely unique and fun
@@hommedammn7132 people would love him more if he didn't insult most of his competitors on forums and facebook groups just to promote his shitty pedals made on auto-router and on an outdated pirated software. He is seen as the cool guy by other toxic people who are just like him.
A great player is someone who is articulate and skillful on his own. Give a great player a nylon guitar and he will amaze you. Those pedals will not make him great but will amplify and channel his greatness.
That's pretty much the biggest pedal board I've ever seen that isn't like a cable management nightmare and visually disturbing, but it's no line 6 pod go 😊 Seeing them perform Tomorrow night I can't wait
Next time someone is explaining a pedal board, don't zoom out a little so we can see what they're pointing at instead of only doing a close up for a few seconds. Especially since this board is so complex. Please.
Is this really necessary?? Isn’t there some that have like loads of sounds in them? Maybe the immediate accessibility is better. I’m just a drummer (dumber)
No.......unless you're playing melt banana or tera melos type music. There is no reason to have so many effect pedals especially for death metal. Vitriol does use effects here and there. But he could reduce that pedal board by 50% at least and still be fine and wouldn't have to lug so much expensive stuff around or potentially get stolen.
I've got both a small and large pedalboard. Having everything there does feel at home to do whatever you want to explore or recall. It's especially useful when you're the only guitarist. I'm sure at some point he'll switch to something smaller but he's pretty much in a 2 piece band right now and has to fill out a lot of sound.
Says he doesn’t have an IR loader, then talks about the IRX, which has the ability to load three IR per channel. Love this rig, I’m not a modern hi gain player either but i use the irx as the tone base for my own pedalboard in a 90’s cover band
You instantly judged him as a drug addict based on what exactly? Some people are just naturally anxious and nervous and completely drug free. Don't be so judgemental
Side Note: When describing the pedals, advise the guitarist to play a note or two of that pedal. We would love to hear what he’s talking about

I've known Kyle for 20 years, I used to work with him back in the day at GC in Clackamas Oregon.
Seeing this is not remotely shocking to me. 🤣🤣🤣
That is the biggest pedal board I've ever seen. So sick hahaha
That pedalboard is wild but I love that Kyle uses a Ibanez Xiphos. We need more Xiphos available on the market. 👌🏾💯🔥🎸
yes please
He is a beast of a guitarist I wish he had more exposure 🙏🏻 hope he and his band become great successes
@xymoriintus exactly. His technique is so unique. I've learned alot just by watching him play.
I have no idea what I just heard but I couldn't stop listening.
My pedalboard: Boss tuner, Super Overdrive, HM-2, Precision Overdrive, Decimator G-String and a Boss Delay.
That’s about all I’ve ever used too

The Edge called and said he wants his pedal board back.
No.. That dude is no where near the level of Kyle. The Edge is way overrated.
Bro that Mimic is incredible. Genius pedal. I wonder what it would sound like with two different guitarist each with a separate rig in each side

@@hommedammn7132 Thantifaxath Goes hard. Did you see them.
I really want to try having two guitarists with mimiqs with full stereo rigs.
Bro I wish I knew enough to build something like this. RIP to the guitar tech for this band lol
Kyle is a phenomenal guitarist, and I happen to meet him on my way home from the show, here in Pensacola, tour with Goatwhore.

Kyle said in this pod he was a dick to his band mates, more or less. Adam has quit 3 times lol
WOW all those pedals 🔥
That is one of the sickest xiphos ever
Holy shit 😂

Love this board and the ideas that go with it...be different...be badass ...be sick... mission accomplished 😎
Here why modelers will never replace pedals ❤
Ooof! I love it!
Holy moly. I wish I still had my collection of pedals. Definitely nothing close to this setup tho. That looks rad af 🤘
Kyle has the most ridiculous collection of guitars and pedals I’ve ever seen. I love it.
great stuff
wow that pedal board is a straight up art installation lmfao

Catch 33 😉 i once got told the happiest day in a guitarist’s life is the day they finish there pedalboard or the day they sell there pedalboard haha
Pedals big good. Big pedal board best

Just noticed the Xiphos is a refinished 727!
Those midi switchers are bad ass my friend has one it's the gigrig right? I got a gig rig power supply but haven't installled it yet.

When you wanted to know how to go from two guitars to one but didn't get in touch with Marc Okubo.
badass. He should put a tracking device on that thing.
Pedalboard muito foda!!!!!!.
The mimic would work on a single 2x12?
Waow! 🤯
Nice to see Joe Anastasio getting props for his pedals. I love my Left Hand Wrath pedal. Lone Wolf Audio/Void Manufacturing is definitely unique and fun
@@Stratking01 Joe kicks ass! He is absolutely non-apologetic and his pedals reflect that as both his aesthetic and business model.

I bet that makes him a great player

He is a great guitar "player". The setup just makes the "sound" great too.
LOL
I run the katastrophe on bass and that mf knocks dude, bass or guitar player I say you get one

I'm sure that reverb sounds great in the fractions of miliseconds in between blastbeats. 😅
Epic rig

fucking hellfire
My dude, save some pedals for the rest of us.
Woowww 😮
😍😍😍
What is his guitar tuning?
drop B
34th pedal is a distortion on his voice
Guitars are barely discernible on their studio recordings, what the hell is this big of a board for?
You must not listen to tech death lol. Maybe try headphones. All the riffs are easily heard.
Holy crap haha

You need 3 max haha. Tuner, noisegate and tube screamer haha.
Not for vitriol.
YOU do, Kyle needs 33 haha
Grow up. Tube screamers are terrible also. Get a real boost. Not something only needed for Fender style amps.
poor boy, demons control his weak mind
