- This homeowner contacted me on my facebook page and asked if I could help get their overgrown lawn back in shape. They said they have been trying to mow it, but their push mower just can't handle mowing grass this tall. I started with the edging. You couldn't even see most of the curb or the sidewalk. This edging was crazy.

As a handicapped person who uses a motorized wheelchair, thank you for clearing the sidewalks.
I don't think the mower was broken I think the owner was just plain LAZY!
If you have a motorize wheelchair you should be able to go through it no problem quit whineing 😂

Brian - I love your commitment and great results. I gotta say it makes me smile to see you tear into those concrete edges with your edger: "Get outa my way, weeds, 'cause I'm coming through!" I must say, however, I'm a bit disappointed with the residents. I didn't see anything wrong with either of them which would have prevented them from helping with the raking - or even picking up the trash. But no, they were content to let someone else labor away in the heat and next to a dangerous roadway while they took it easy inside. Your work made a great video and I know that's important, but golleee, my parents raised me to know that as long as I am able-bodied, I shouldn't sit on my a** while someone else does my work. That's just my 2 cents worth.
I totally agree with you some people are just lazy. There is no way I could sit in the ac and let someone do my yard in this heat unless I was paying them. Then I still would of had to be sick or disabled. Hope they appreciated you Brian because you worked your butt off in this heat.
It seems like the homeowners had not looked after this lawn for many, many months. Thankfully, Brian, you were there to help bring it back into shape. Thank you for helping out your community.
Maybe he could show them how to work an edger and weed wacker and when to mow cuz obviously they are clueless.

It's ironic that you're doing this for an able bodied person younger than you. Please help the Seniors, Veterans and disabled and not the lazy homeowners. Hate to see you get taken advantage of.
@@tenstreet-007He does help those groups. Fact is, he needs these messy property homeowners as much (if not more) than they need him. Without them his yt channel and the income he earns from it would dry up. I see it as a win-win-win. He earns social media income, the individuals get a much needed clean up (no matter their circumstances) and the community gets eyesore cleaned up.
You are pretty amazing! I don't know why it always bothers me when there seems to be a very capable man at home who could be helping you do their yards. He could have shoveled or something since you were doing this for them. So glad there are people in this old world like you still, that will help anyone no matter! Awesome job as always! 😊❤

Sometimes a person may look physically capable but in reality are not.
Brian, Great job on this one. Someone should tell the homeowners that they need to do more then make a half as*ed effort in maintaining their lawn and they physically need to get off their a** to do it. Of course they want someone to mow it and clean it up for free. The grass behind that privacy fence looks just as high. That is laziness at its finest. My husband works 12 hour days 6 days a week and our lawn is mowed every week, with a push mower, and we have a quarter acre..

Brian, I first saw this one I thought,"Ohhhhhh dear. " At first because of the grass and then because of the heat and being so close to a raceway. The legs cramping is a sure sign of dehydration. Thank you for sharing in so many ways

Like others have mentioned, it is nerve racking watching that traffic zip by so close…might consider a bright colored shirt or vest for those situations. Awesome job helping the community!
Yes. In the UK a high vis vest and warning signs, cones and an arrow board would be essential and compulsory!
Mind you, the roads are often narrower than the US, and just as busy.

As per your norm, the work you put in leaves a brand new sidewalk and curbs and yard too! It was neat that the neighbors expressed their appreciation. Did the homeowner thank you too? I often wonder how it got to be so out of control, but had a couple bad health problems and had to watch my beautiful yard go to pot, flowers die, trees get out of order etc until i finally was able to do the work again. We still have a kid mow and weedeat for us due to heart, arthritis, and other issues, but it is getting back into shape finally! I still love to see the finished project when i get a section reworked, weeded, replanted with the flowers I so love! Im thinking you know quite well that sense of satisfaction at the end of every job you do!! You are a blessing to so many!

You killed it on the parkways and I groaned when I realized how much work those edges would take. So much grass that you dug and threw, oh my word 😱. Nice job 🙌🙌🙌💯💚💚💚.

One suggestion: mow everything first. Trim/cut whatever is left over. That way you don't have to fight with the tall grass with your edger and line trimmer.

Ah yes, the old ''corner lot"....lol. Brian, you did your usual spectacular job, and this was a lot of work, especially for one person, but you knocked it out like it was nothing. I'm sure the homeowner was thrilled to have it back to a manageable height. Those chunks of grass you picked up was like wall to wall carpeting!! It's nice to have the walkways clean for the neighbors that might want to take a little stroll from time to time. Great job !!!
