    Can I just say thank you so much for your consistent content. I know how hard it is to maintain a RUclips channel over time, especially when you're doing WBB content. I follow a lot of channels like W-hoops & Balanced Sports, who haven't uploaded in forever. So, thanks so much, Quita, for keeping us up to date.

    Alexis is raw, she's the reason LSU won it all IN MY OPINION. 20+ points in the Elite eight, Final Four and Championship game 3 consecutive games... she was the most consistent and clutch in that LSU team. Deserved the MOP award over Angel Reese, this is a Hill I'm willing to die on🤞LSU don't win the natty without her. In any case I wish Lex the best🙏 and thank you for the update on her, hope we see in the W soon!

      My feelings EXACTLY! AM deserved MOP over Reese and I'll go on to say that Henny deserved it as well in 2022. I think AB would agree.

    I will say Alexis Morris was the X factor for LSU winning & Jasmine Carson. Imagine she was that good and got waived in WNBA; HVL has less defense than Morris and believe she will actually be a downgrade at PG for LSU.

    Enjoyed the update on Alexis Morris. From time to time wouldn’t mind hearing an update from you on Alexis’ progress. This opportunity in Turkey will help her improve her game and perhaps learn a bit of humility and experience some personal growth. Glad to learn that she worked over the summer to get her degree from LSU. I’ll go out on a limb and predict that she will be on an WNBA roster in two years. Great reporting and analysis as usual.

    Thanks Quita, I think Alexis has the drive but we all know it’s about more than just skills in the WNBA. You are spot on about the entertainment. AR, HVL, CC, all have entertainment value with their skill set, but the better player athlete is Rickea At Tennessee. Anywho, any updates on Chennedy Carter? I would love to see her back. You can hate her or love her, but she’s the female AI, and could bring interest to the WNBA. Trash talking is an art. Let’s be real, Some of the WNBA games are very boring. I drove to Memphis from another state to watch Ja Morant not because of his points scored but because how he scored them. My point is, we want our favorite teams to succeed but we also want to be entertained. WNBA marketing should get a team with a bunch of “rejects” and call them the “bad girls”and let Candace Parker coach them 😊. I also drove to Dallas to watch Indiana and the wings play a few weeks ago. My state doesn’t have a NBA or WNBA. I didn’t want the perception I support the men and not the women. I just love the game. 🏀

    I am relatively new to the WNBA, but I have learned how relatively little they pay (avg. $72K-ish/yr), which forces some WNBA players to play in offseason international leagues to supplement their income/desired lifestyle. However, I am completely unfamiliar with international leagues. (The Brittney Griner incident taught me Russian leagues actually exist.) Do we happen to know what these leagues pay in comparison to the WNBA? Are any leagues "premium-pay", like say LIV Golf , which attracted elite golf pros to leave the PGA? Where does the Turkish league rank pay-wise? Any insight is appreciated.

    I get the feeling she is a disruptor and the WNBA is not a fan of anyone who does not fit their wholesome image. I believe that is part of why Stewie, Ionescu and Bird are usually highlighted players for the league. Things she said about vets taking spots is true, but you get the feeling that many teams carry players along because they like them, more than how much they can contribute. Once the culture of the league just adopts the newer more dynamics personalities like the Aces, Mystics, Sky and Wings have, she may have a shot. Plus you have to keep in mind that the WNBA much like the NBA takes some of the best players and then turn them into role players and for some folks, that is a hard pill to swallow. In addition they run plays that are sometimes just for star players, diminishing everyone else's skillets, so there are a lot of dynamics at play that make all this soo tough.

    One of my very favorite players! Wishing AM ALL the best in Turkey, and YES, she deserves a spot in the WNBA, she's better, quicker, and faster than Berger for the Fever. AM plays very good D and is deadly at the mid-range. There's something to be said that she held Clark to only 30 points. Henny is thriving over there, and NaLyssa Smith is headed that way as well. LOVE your CW comparison!!!

    She'll find her way back to the W rather quickly. She'll be playing against WNBA players almost every night. Stewie, Satou, Destanni Henderson all play in the Turkish League. I like the Courtney Williams comp, but if I'm Lex I'd be studying Deanna Nolan like a mad woman. Very similar profiles and games in my opinion. Finally, marketing. You hit it on the nail, those leagues are also built on personalities and right now the WNBA still rides the momentum of the 2023 Final Four and needs to create/promote stars that are familiar faces to average consumers. Great video as usual Quite, keep it up.

    Now Haley Van Lith will 100% make an WNBA roster no matter what and you telling me Alexis Morris doesn't have as much talent as HVL. They are about the same size. Getting on a WNBA roster has as much to do with politics, clicks and connections to certain college programs as it does with some supposed players with elite talent. I think her game if she wants to get in the league should be modeled more off the other guard that plays for Aces. If the WNBA expands depending on new ownership she might make a team but it's shaking. It's too many other players the league would have to put at the front of the line like girls who play like the Clark and Paige style of ball. Morris and many other rookies have an entertainment value to their game and marketability factors unfortunately that's doesn't matter to the WNBA because they are subsidized. They don't need to fill stadiums and put behind in seats because they don't have to turn a profit. With only 15 rookies going to the league per draft and only 12 teams a lot of great players the casual fans would want to pay to see will miss out. These girls coming out of college and certain programs, not political connected should form a WBB club league that plays an entertaining style of basketball that appeals to the average consumer that don't know basketball from the x's and o's especially if going overseas is not in their cultural appetite. Other than HVL, I don't see any talent coming out of LSU that's could make the WNBA league as their rosters are presently constructed. None of them are politically connected and they play an entertaining style of basketball which is not the style the WNBA desires. Thanks for the update, I wish her all the best.

    • @nizaschannel1441
      @nizaschannel1441 Год назад

      I think they are never given enough time to prove themselves once drafted. If you see the number of players who were waived it’s so sad. They just need to expand the league cause 12 teams are not enough. They draft you then boom, one week later you get waive.
