Hey guys! Today I'm kicking off a week of Christmas in July with Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas. This was requested a lot last holiday season and I never got around to it...also everyone knows that Beauty and the Beast is an obsession of mine so it was a fun video to make.

Forte just wanted Beast to be his emo boyfriend so they could be a Gothic power couple, but instead Beast just kills him by straight up ripping his guts out

I personally believe Tim Curry's diet just consists of the scenery he has chewed in the films he stared in. Also, Bernadette Peters and Paige O'Hara harmonizing together is perfection!
The man is simply built different and the rest of us could never and I love that for him.
That I totally agree with. I’ve always found this film to be a guilty pleasure of mine because of those two actors, especially Bernadette Peters singing with Paige O’Hara.
Tim Curry and CGI-animation combo is actually amazing.

This movie has so many plot issues, but there are a lot of concepts in it that I love. The animation has some pretty great moments, the characters of Forte, Fife, and Angelique are great even if they don’t exactly fit in the original film, and the fact that all the voice actors returned for it is a big plus. Honestly I think the script just needed more fine-tuning (pun intended)!
I know you said you’ve got a backlog of Christmas requests, but The Legend of Frosty the Snowman from 2005 is a special I rarely see people talking about. It’s one that I loved as a kid for its take on Frosty, and it’s got an absolutely stellar cast full of voice acting powerhouses, including Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke (I hope I spelled that right), Kath Soucie, and Tara Strong, along with Burt Reynolds as the narrator!
I agree! My only real complaint is the massive retcon issues. But even so it has some fun characters and Forte is unironically one of my favorite Disney villains.

The Flashback Scene when Adam became a Beast terrified me.
Yeah it was pretty intense.
I firmly believe this movie was created just to sell VHS tapes and the special edition Belle Barbie doll in her red velvet Christmas dress lol. I loved my Belle doll though, so no complaints! I also think about Forte the evil pipe organ way too often for someone in their 30s lmao.
I think you're totally right... though we got evil Tim Curry organ so that's why I'll personally never complain too much. 😂
The CGI organ freaked me out as a kid but for some reason I was also drawn to to it and I hunted for this movie. Then I found it and I was disappointed with how boring and uninteresting it was. But as always Tim Curry is awesome.
Oh Tim makes this movie worth watching as he does with so many things. That man is an iconic legend.

Many people like Christmas. People make movies that feature people who don't like Christmas learning to like Christmas. People who don't like having messages shoved down their throats decide they don't like Christmas because of how many movies are about people learning to like Christmas. Those people have movies made about them. The cycle continues.

I love Beauty and the Beast too. I always cry at the ending. I haven't really seen much of this film but I like the idea of doing a Christmas in July. I once heard Christmas music playing in a mall a few Julys ago so I like the idea.
It's a good chance to get some of the Christmas videos done ahead of schedule and also get into the festive mood before it's freezing and we're all tired of hearing Michael Buble music every waking moment.
The Disney sequels are pretty cool, I remember Ariel's daughter and some Tarzan tv sequel being my best. Also, have you ever watched any Kids WB shows like The Batman, Xiaolin Showdown, or Mucha Lucha?
Yeah I remember the little mermaid 2 and Tarzan and Jane and they were fun. I've seen batman but none of the other ones I don't think.
Pipe organ tech here; yeah seeing as the time period pre-dates electricity, knocking over the console like that would absolutely disable the organ as every key and stop is directly linked to the pipe chest work. Dramatic move but hey, it would work.
Side note: Organs are NEVER portrayed accurately in animated movies/shows and it bugs me so much. At least this movie managed to make it half-authentic.

Considering the creator didn't know beast's name, plot and continuity issues were a given. If only it were easy to turn off when turned on lol. Chip getting a pair of socks in such a big box was just cruel (ah shyt that first part rhymed too). That photo of little you is adorable 🐱

Since it's Christmas I just got done watching this movie. I wanted to point out that Paul Ruebens is the voice of Fife. None other than Peewee Herman! So you get Tim Curry and Peewee Herman working off one another. Just genius.

This video just made me remember this Disney Christmas compilation dvd they released called Disney Princess: A Christmas of Enchantment. I’m pretty sure it had this movie on it and I played that thing to death all year round.

Fortunately, I saw this movie dubbed, so I couldn't connect the organ to Tim Curry, but because of the Finnish translation, I believed for years that Angelique was Lumiere's sister.
Oh well that's...an awkward take on things 😬 tim is really my favorite part of the whole movie that man jumps in head first to every role he's in and I love that
@@AveryTalksAboutStuff It's kind of awkward, I admit, but I've heard a lot of people complain that when they hear Curry as the voice of the bad guy, they can't take the movie seriously. It's sad because it tells how a career as a comedian took its toll on Tim Curry as an actor and still continues to define him.

I have something to admit: I have watched this movie more times than I have watched the first Beauty and the Beast movie. Enchanted Christmas is one of my favourite Disney sequels. The character Forte was terrifying to me when I was a kid, unfortunately (I guess) I grew watching the movie in Swedish, so I didn’t get to hear Tim Curry’s voice in this movie until now.
I remember the scene where Belle sings that song while writing a book being probably my favourite scene in the movie.
I think that's valid! This is one of the best sequels they made. I will watch literally anything with Tim Curry and I love all things beauty and the beast so I totally get that.

It actually is pretty good for the budget it had! This is one of the better direct to home video movies Disney made. I've heard of that Rudolph movie but had no idea it got a theatrical release.

So let me get this straight. There is a evil organ in the attic that we see for the first time ever in this movie who is never mentioned again which creates so many plot holes and inconsistencies in the story making the series look like a piece swiss cheese, Chip seems to have dementia which is also never mentioned again, and Belle wrote some of the most classic Disney princess movies of all time all in one song. "Makes perfect sense to me" - The Mad Hatter (Alice in Wonderland Through the Looking Glass 2016)

I hate what the writers did to Belle!
Why is it so hard to write Belle, correctly? It was never her mission to change the Beast, Belle wasn't an MPDG, she was the Beast's Lizzie Bennet, someone who called him out, and refused to back down, until he changed his ways, for the better!
Are you considering doing a video on the 1991 film? Never seen this sequel but it seems pale and unnecessary compared to the original feature. Just like Return of Jafar. The 1991 Disney film will always be the best of Beauty and the Beast media. The 2017 one was pure trash, Emma Watson had no chemistry with anyone in it. Just because it was live action doesn't make it anyway superior.
I've definitely been thinking about it... if you guys want to see it, I absolutely can because I agree it's superior to all.

@@bazbanter9329 I didn't like the remake that much at all. I felt like most of the changes were totally unnecessary and the cgi was jarring. It was the best out of all the live action Disney remakes but that's not really saying much.

I only have seen Beauty & the Beast via seeing scenes and people talk about it, so i don't have much of a attachment. Yeah Belle's Magical World is infamously bad & has been memed to death. I'm watching the 2001 Aussie cartoon Wicked, which i've talked about in a previous comment, but watching like the first couple of EPs & omg it was weird, creepy and very dark for something based on a book series by Paul Jennings & Morris Gleitzman.
