Great video, definitely one of Seiko's better efforts of late. Usually an automatic movement guy, I don't find solar powered watches as offensive as their battery powered siblings, they're practical, so very practical. Altho' not really a fan of black watches generally, yours looks great, specially on the FKM Waffle. I bought the SNE 497, and tricked it out with the stainless steel shroud and a decent Endmill bracelet, for that traditional Tuna look. Unfortunately my seconds hand isn't as well behaved as yours (doh!) but mine came in the coolest box ever! A huge 10×10×8 inch piano gloss, grey carbon fibre finished wooden (?) epic box. I rate the bezel insert material too. I thought ceramic bezel were great, but I have to say that with a matt finished bezel, it just pops. If you like the Tuna style but haven't got the spare $1,000+ these Tuna-Lite versions are definitely worth a look.
Great review! I love the color scheme, thin case, light weight and trouble free operation. Home run from Seiko. Might have to grab one before the "limited" run gets snapped up. And them sneakers do look dope
what makes this watch really stand out from the other solar tunas is that the lumed hour markers on the dial have that raised "bubble" look when compared to the tunas with the white markers which look flat
You should have way more subscribers Pete. That was great and it's a beautiful watch. I felt your pain at the horror of losing your other watch in the water. 👍🇬🇧
Cool watch. I've been meaning to pick up a Solar Tuna for a while now, but it always seems to be low down the ladder of my 'To Be Acquired' Seiko list, if you know what I mean.. What's the fitted rubber waffle strap on the King Samurai? I need to get one of those! Great review, as always
@@ChillinwitWatches thanks for the reply, you can see it quite well at 4:25. Thanks for that information too, I didn’t think about that, you learn something every day hey!

Sick watch bruh looks awesome on the rubber strap
Thanks man!
I like that one Pete! Looks awesome
Love it, thank you
Very nice. I have an older Solar Tuna, SBBN049. Black Dial/Steel Bezel. It is a great watch.
They have the ultimate tool look imo!
The bezel is awesome!
Cool lumed "mohawk" isn't it!

I know exactly what you mean, I have a list like that too!
The fitted strap on the samurai is an uncle seiko made for the SKX. They fit pretty good!
Might have pick one up and pair with Khaki NATO
Nice watch ,must cost you a fortune buying all these watches.keep em coming.carl from cov uk
Thanks! I sell probably 90% of em
@@ChillinwitWatches trouble is you have to buy them 1st.
Hey. U deserve a follow from a fellow yoyo player.😉
My man, much appreciated!
I just got mine a few days ago might have to swap the band to my waffle strap from Uncle Seiko. The original strap is super uncomfortable.
Sweet! I didn't find the OEM strap uncomfortable, but its dust magnet and super LONG!
I love the review so much . please send me one of your Guitars, I love the Blue White One.🤩🤩👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Perfect alignment? gotta be fake. lol
Like hitting the Seiko lottery!
100% oem
What’s with the faint line that runs from the centre to just above the 9 o’clock marker? Never seen that kind if thing before.
I don't remember seeing that, and I don't have this watch anymore, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the solar cell
@@ChillinwitWatches thanks for the reply, you can see it quite well at 4:25. Thanks for that information too, I didn’t think about that, you learn something every day hey!
@@mattayton2005 I still don't see it, lol. There's a fuzzy reflection on the crystal on that area. But solar watches often do have visible lines.
Is that the Street Series? I had one briefly.
This is not streets, but pretty much the same thing.
How many turns of the crown to screw it down or unscrew it. I got the same watch and it only takes a bit more than one turn
This or the Arnie?
Well I had the Arnie, it didn't stick. Well see if this does! It's more wearable for sure
@@ChillinwitWatches Thanks for the answer, I love the black and pop of orange on this one.

Yeah I did all that, filled out the form, created the report, no luck!
Try again, and again, they might get sick of you and just send a watch, you never know...squeaky wheel gets the watch!
I've never been a fan of the tuna.
I wasn't until I tried one!
The seconds hand flows like any quartz watch. Unbearable.
