    The rotating bezel from 12 to 20min mark is loomed a very nice watch mine cost £380 4 years ago.

    nice review,i got mine SBDN023 today.it felt really low with rubber strap and when i put a black nato it gave it considerable height and the desired tuna look.

    did you have any experience with the sne498 baby tuna ? have you put your hands on it or so ...cause i think i'm going to buy one and i have a 7 inch wrist and i hope it doesn't look huge although everyone says it wears a lot smaller and i also wear a srp777 seiko turtle and it's pretty ok on my wrist

  • @sashachip

    The watch is thin because of the quartz movement. Autos are always thicker. If this was auto it would be 14-16mm for sure

    The Bezel on the 200m Solar Tuna are ALUMINUM.
    The Bezel on all 300m QUARTZ 7C46 TUNA are Stainless Steel.
    The BEZEL ON ALL 600M AND 1000M TUNA are TITANIUM.
    While the 200M SOLAR TUNA are great and affordable the 300M QUARTZ 7C46 MARINE MASTER are by far Superior and are equally affordable and wearable.
    200M Solar cost about $400-600 and the 300M is about $800-1000 USD.

    I read that this is a limited 3000 model. Other than that can I say is identical to the model sne498p1?

    • @WatchGeek
      @WatchGeek  5 лет назад

      The sne498 is different

    • @yiha9944
      @yiha9944 5 лет назад

      Watch Geek another thing I saw different is the strap holder color I notice different between two models but apart from that I really don’t know what else is different...

    • @fungus70
      @fungus70 5 лет назад

      They are very identical for most intent and purpose and the SNE is far cheaper. Buyers of this SBDN crap will feel cheated. The notion of limited edition has become meaningless with the introduction of the SNE.

    • @chirots
      @chirots 4 года назад

      @@fungus70 I perfer SNE498, but I like sdbn021 daily. There is a luminous dot at date.

    • @ginovairo6487
      @ginovairo6487 4 года назад

      I just got a SNE498P1 and it does look very similar to this older LE model. It has a V157 movement vs the V147 in this version (don’t know if that is meaningful though). Some differences that I prefer in the newer non-LE version are: The bezel is lumed from 0-15 min marker and is also embedded in a Matt resin which I quite like. There is no partial obscuring of the 4 o’clock lume marker as Watch Geek noted and disliked since it is completely covered by the date window. Also the 3,6 & 9 markers are different and more in keeping with the 1000m Tuna style as are the hands. Generally it is more in keeping with the traditional Tuna range. I really like it and agree it is very wearable for a watch that looks so substantial.

    How would this compare in sizing compared to the sbbn013? Thanks

    • @WatchGeek
      @WatchGeek  8 лет назад +1

      I don't have the Darth but I once handled one and the Darth is substantially larger as I believe they are 50mm, while this is 46mm. Between this and the Darth you have the regular 48mm Tuna.

      The movement is made in Japan, but the watch is cased in China, at least that is what is written on the caseback.

      They just took a $200 solar diver guts and stuck them in a plastic case and charge triple the price. Ugh. I just got the SNE441. Same watch for alot cheaper.

    • @WatchGeek

      The case is not plastic, the protective shroud is, and even if you don't like that you can get an aftermarket metal shroud

    • @WatchGeek
      @WatchGeek  7 лет назад +1

      +Michael Orme even if you get this one with time you will want the real thing , at least that is my experience

    • @FanatecSystem
      @FanatecSystem 7 лет назад

      what do you mean by "real thing"?

    • @WatchGeek
      @WatchGeek  7 лет назад

      Michael Orme the 300m and 1.000m Tunas that use the high torque 7C46 movement that has historical importance for Seiko.
      Those Tunas are also able to handle saturation diving with Helium gas mixtures, while this one is a normal scuba divers watch

    • @FanatecSystem
      @FanatecSystem 7 лет назад

      oh, didnt know that. but still, in terms of build quality, are they equal? how do they compare to each other... thanks!

    • @WatchGeek
      @WatchGeek  7 лет назад

      +FanatecSystem the other tunas are a step above this in every way possible, they use a higher end movement, the shroud is stainless steel or ceramic (1000m), The lume is better on them and the fit and finish also. But that is why they are 3-5x the price of this one :)
