    what if we keep the rear track width less than the front track width?

    needs a clutch so you can run the motor to full rpms with a heavy flywheel

    How strong is the motor, how many kW?

    Okay, a couple of comments. First, nice job. Having a real gokart chassis, rather than a monster made from iron pipe (as I made) probably really enhances performance. I chose not to locate battery weight so far aft, preferring to keep weight centered. Not that it matters for me - because of my weight and the Pb batteries I use, my kart won't break the tires loose in a straight start on dry pavement. I also have a 72v 300A system on my kart, but the beast weighs almost 230 kg without driver aboard. But it still accelerates like hell, as I'm sure you've experienced. I see that you (or the designer of your steering parts) also figured out the ackerman angle so the inside front wheel turns more sharply than the outside wheel. Can you post how long the build took your team? Thx.

    What are the specifications of the motor and batteries ?

  • @parasar_the_destroyer
    @parasar_the_destroyer 8 лет назад

    can you please tell me that what is the watt and voltage of the motor? as you have said its 8100 watts and you are using 8 batterys so it can be a 48 volt or 96 volt the battery seems to be a 60 AHr battery . so your car should run at full charge a little more or less then 35 min theoritically, if it is a 96 volt battery. so please tell me the motor specs.

      +Parasar Bhattacharya I see you on alot of electric go kart videos, and you seem like you know alot, i currently own a 24 volt 100 amp motor, which would be 2400 watts or close to 30 hp, Idk if this is enough to reach my goal of over 60mph

    • @parasar_the_destroyer
      @parasar_the_destroyer 8 лет назад

      +Decklyn Uttmark sorry it wont be a 30 HP motor as per your specs it would be 3.21 HP and if you keep the weight of the car a little low then easily you can reach that speed, but remember at that torque you need a good chain and sprocket system....

    Tesla roadster, Tesla model S, Nissan Leaf .. all examples of how we as a society are making the gradual shift towards a fuel source that we no longer have to drill for. agreed? The challenge that I have for your team is to incorporate a new fuel source which includes the sun. From of the other go-karts that I've seen I would say this one gets less than 4 hrs to the charge hopefully with the new challenge you can achieve 24hrs. =) I sent details to your inbox

    Yeah the problem with these cars are they leave a much bigger foot print on our environment. It's not the best trade off. The battery's in these cars are extremely pollutant and extremely hard to recycle
