Been waiting to purchase a gopro (sold all my old ones)... deal just showed up on slickdeals so I should be able to make it within the next week or two
dude, it's been like a month and half, please update us, i e-gokarts.. and am planning on building one soon. but im having too much fun having a working predator 212 cc go kart.. don't want to mess with it just yet.
Pretty cool, it's also an advantage as far as noise goes, the neighbors probably like it better than a motorized Kart, and it's probably cheaper to maintain.
Definitely a welcome thing for the neighbors but we all play with motorsports anyway so it's often quite loud on my street. We all like it though.. and yes it's cheaper to maintain overall, just the up front cost is higher than an engine counterpart
Dude cool build. I hope you have a power delete switch. Run away gas engine just hit thr kill switch electric and those lipos are no joke. Safety. Cool build man
That must be around 15 - 20 HP... Anyone know? What motor are you using? I actually have an idea... I want to put a 15 - 20 hp electric motor in a power wheels toy car lol But I haven't found any motors online... It's s hard to browse for stuff like that.
Im getting ready to build an electric atv...think this setup would work well for that purpose? My goal is not speed though, I would prefer torque and distance for offroading and climbing hills. Any help is appreciated, and great build man!
Douglas Goldstein batteries don't like being knocked all around one disadvantage you'd be killing batteries pretty quick unless had a very well built container to hold them in secure to reduce the bouncing and shaking around and off roading means finding new areas and like heybimma go down this see where it leads oh crap batteries about to die was only charged enough for my planned route not this spot I found and also took
Kahrese Lee Yeah I think I'll use gel batteries, since they can take abuse a bit better, but I also plan on building a floating battery compartment to take the shocks better than just being mounted straight to the frame. And yes, I'm notorious for going out with the intent of looking at one thing, but then something else catches my eye. I'm hoping to remedy that by doing what I do now, which is walk a lot after getting to a general area, and I also want to add a solar charging unit that can charge while I'm off the atv walking around exploring.
Loved it! I'm building an aluminum framed velo-electric vehicle right now. 'Took lots of planning on paper, and computer mock-ups. Components be expensive, man!!
So since it's summer are you going to make a new video about the battery mounts and put all the electronic component's in the description Motor, motor controller, batteries and wiring. thanks +zed4me if you reply
Quite a bit more than what an engine build would cost. I think around $1000 if not more. I've considered getting a clone.. would be fun to shift an semi automatic but I really like the silence of the electric setup
the company i work for had a company gathering, and we did indoor electric go karts, it took me awhile to get used to how they drive compared to gas powered karts, i will say once i got used to it, it was very fun, and i walked out without a headache, I must build one, some way, some how
I’ve recently bought a gocart with twin fork truck electric motors on it , just waiting on cash at the moment as I’ve just started training in a new job . Once my jobs settled I’m going to build a new battery bank as at the moment there’s two 36v packs on each side that aren’t holding power .
At least with that electric motor you should be able to back it up also. Once you get it up to full speed let's see what happens when you put it into full power in reverse. 😁😆
Not really sure.. there's no go kart tracks around me but honestly it's been a blast just driving around my neighborhood for fun. One thing I did want to get good at was drifting and a go kart allows me to do that a lot easier than a car.
zed4me Hmmm, ok...makes me want to do something similar using the 1050cc motor from my old Triumph Speed Triple lol. It's sitting on a pallet, looking for something to do.
If you're wondering if he is building it for transportation, a rescue or law enforcement vehicle, commercial purposes or with hopes of getting a contract with the Army, he's not. It's for something much more important than all that stuff. It's for the feeling of accomplishment, excitement, enjoyment, and down right fun.Why would anyone lay a little ball on the ground, then take a stick and hit it towards a hole in the ground, hoping it will land into the hole? I have to admit it does sound like only the mentally challenged could find that exciting and want to do it again and again, and if they put up a fence in the town we live , we would all being wanting out and everyone else would be wanting in. People are crazy. Why don't you join us?
Laws of physics. If the rear wheels start to spin then the whole go-kart most likely will just come completely to a stop. So... I guess.. allz you do then is jam on the brakes and you'll be doin a hunert in no time thar. A hyulk
I think one person said it was Emmick also. Thanks for IDing it. Can't believe the kart is older than me haha but looking at a 1982 emmick the mounts are just slightly different. Gonna be difficult figuring out which year mine is from.
Do you still have it?
super good job man!! where can we find the list of your motor and everything`? please
PLEAAAASE
Taller tires, more speed and higher ground clearance. Good idea!
And less acceleration
And the outside tires would be more stressed in corners
Less stability
Higher top speed comes with less accelertaion
@@Thrillowatt can argue that there's less rolling resistance, so more stability at higher speeds with a larger tyre.
HOW MUCH DID THE VOLTAGE BOX AND WIRE SETUP COST ASIDE FROM THE MOTOR AND THE BODY?
What was the final cost of the build?
good work man. I'm curious how much the electric conversion cost and how many minutes or miles per charge? thanks
What would the whole setup for electric run in $$?
@J M quit being a hater
well, you can get a 300hp at 1800 rpm electric motor for $14,000 stinking dollars
@@7REDDRACO7 This is a 6hp motor. Quit being dumb.
240 dollars on amazon for the whole set up minus the brake pedal. They're basically replacement motors for golf carts.
When are you going to do more vids on the electric go kart?
When are the cost and parts video coming up? I'm thinking of getting interested in go-karting and I want to know what i'm getting into
Coming soon
zed4me when? it's been a while.
Been waiting to purchase a gopro (sold all my old ones)... deal just showed up on slickdeals so I should be able to make it within the next week or two
use your phone it records better than gopros. post the parts soon your subscribers are nearly begging you.
dude, it's been like a month and half, please update us, i e-gokarts.. and am planning on building one soon. but im having too much fun having a working predator 212 cc go kart.. don't want to mess with it just yet.
What is your run time with only 10aH? With the specs of that motor being 6-19HP I would think you could easily hit 60+.
what engine did you use?
Use ratchet straps to hold your batteries in place light and way over kill, what is motor and controller are you running? Voltage and amps?
How long or far do you get out of a full charge ?
darrin goodbrand with his
His setup probley four hours.
AND HOW MUCH BATTERY VOLTAGE DOES IT TAKE?
300 volts
Whats the motor wattage and the voltage?
What app you using?
How did you wire in the 12v LED light bar?
use a dc to dc stepdown converter to power it or a small 12v battery.
Do you have a video on how to build this
Coming soon

Definitely a welcome thing for the neighbors but we all play with motorsports anyway so it's often quite loud on my street. We all like it though.. and yes it's cheaper to maintain overall, just the up front cost is higher than an engine counterpart
What voltage is in it?
Dude cool build. I hope you have a power delete switch. Run away gas engine just hit thr kill switch electric and those lipos are no joke. Safety. Cool build man
where do you buy it
What motor are you using
What are the specs for everything?
Will be covered in an upcoming video
zed4me Cool thanks, can't wait!
how many watts are here?
That must be around 15 - 20 HP... Anyone know?
What motor are you using? I actually have an idea... I want to put a 15 - 20 hp electric motor in a power wheels toy car lol
But I haven't found any motors online... It's s hard to browse for stuff like that.
he said previously he wanted to limit it to 100amps ... @80v is 8000watts or 10-11hp, but with GOBBS of torque.
This is the motor. amzn.to/2Fbs5wM it is 6hp cont. 19 peak.
I'm putting a 3kw motor in a power wheels
How much kW does the motor have? Want to build my own but currently thinking about how much it should get.
Im getting ready to build an electric atv...think this setup would work well for that purpose? My goal is not speed though, I would prefer torque and distance for offroading and climbing hills. Any help is appreciated, and great build man!

hey, I'm thinking of making something similar to this, how long did you spend on converting the go-kart?
not an answerrable question, you need to price out all the parts yourself then you can figure it out.
close to a grand all said and done + cost of go kart
Loved it! I'm building an aluminum framed velo-electric vehicle right now. 'Took lots of planning on paper, and computer mock-ups. Components be expensive, man!!
what is the name of that electric motor, like how many volts, amps, watts?
So where did you end up with this build?
Sold the go kart and kept the electric parts for another build in the future
Hi can you leave me the link of the motor and batteries?
What motor?
Could this be ridden on the road
Probably not.
A heads up display projects data onto the windshield (or similar) so you don't have to look down.
So since it's summer are you going to make a new video about the battery mounts and put all the electronic component's in the description Motor, motor controller, batteries and wiring.
thanks +zed4me if you reply
Yeah I'm working on a video, should be up soon.. sorry its taking so long
WHAT IS THE MOTOR CALLED?
All your questions will be covered in an upcoming video
When will the video be posted??
JustAranDomDudE Sorry, don't have a timeline. It's getting too cold for gokarting so it may very well be next spring unfortunately.
where is the part list for this build? this go kart looks awesome
Is it street legal
hi what is the frame ?
the chassis
i want to see more you have inspired me!
You never posted the phone mount.
How much money did you spend (Just on power not the roller) ? Would you consider getting a cr125 motor?
Quite a bit more than what an engine build would cost. I think around $1000 if not more. I've considered getting a clone.. would be fun to shift an semi automatic but I really like the silence of the electric setup
cool, are you gonna do anything with it beside ride around your neighbor hood, or are you gonna take it to an open track?
PiggyPin if I get a chance to take it to a track I will but there's not any around me
I love the power of electric but it still can beat the sound of a gas engine!
Gokarts don't sound great. They sound like lawn mowers.
@@Bmr4life not a 2 stroke rotax!
*****kick ass brother!*****
I want to but a fast electric go kart for less than 500$ I don't know which one to buy tho, any advice?
Not possible for under $500 with today's tech
This channel is growing nicely! What happened to the 400 subscribers 😂
respect man , very good
for the wattage you have ... comparing that to a racing kart setup . I would gear it for a 48-52mph top speed
nice work! & you will get better at drifting, just give it more time & it looks like very much fun, all quiet..... 8)
That’s a beast
the company i work for had a company gathering, and we did indoor electric go karts, it took me awhile to get used to how they drive compared to gas powered karts, i will say once i got used to it, it was very fun, and i walked out without a headache, I must build one, some way, some how
witch is better gas or electric go carts plz respond
Electrics better but it also costs more, if I had the money I would go electric no doubt
PopcornBleach if your going to ride it electric is cheaper because gas nowadays is expensive!

nice car on the left
Should throw on an alternator to maintain the batteries charge.
At least with that electric motor you should be able to back it up also.
Once you get it up to full speed let's see what happens when you put it into full power in reverse. 😁😆
just write what is the batteries voltage
72v
zed4me thanks
What is the point of this build? I mean...what do you have in store for it?
Not really sure.. there's no go kart tracks around me but honestly it's been a blast just driving around my neighborhood for fun. One thing I did want to get good at was drifting and a go kart allows me to do that a lot easier than a car.
zed4me Hmmm, ok...makes me want to do something similar using the 1050cc motor from my old Triumph Speed Triple lol. It's sitting on a pallet, looking for something to do.
Yeah.. I have random projects lying around too lol it's all in good fun and enjoyment.

So smooth👍👍
Zed in LoL?
is this thing street legal cause it's electric
Electric doesn't change its street legality of which it isn't no matter whether it's electric or gas powered.
If you put the torque converter on that electric motor, you would get much more speed.
I can spin my tires on my Demon when I’m doing 65. It’s amazing.
Oh wow
taller tires? you want wheels the shape of an oval?
Zed: how do i contact you, do you have fb so i can contact you.. i want to talk you about go karts, If you can please give me a feed back?
Check my channel, contact info is all listed there.
I was going to ask you.. can these electric go kart be fixed & go up to 65-75mph? Jw
Yes they can, the motor can handle it.. just need a controller and battery setup that can handle the amount of watts it takes to get those speeds
Harvey zip ties for battery !
Why don't you build an electric rail speeder like lots of people are doing.
how many Kilowatts is this setup
Just over 10kw
i would go taller tires
Laws of physics. If the rear wheels start to spin then the whole go-kart most likely will just come completely to a stop. So... I guess.. allz you do then is jam on the brakes and you'll be doin a hunert in no time thar. A hyulk
No reason we all couldn't be driving around in a single driver electric car. . .
Imagine putting a Tesla model x motor in there
looks like my 1982 Emmick kart
I think one person said it was Emmick also. Thanks for IDing it. Can't believe the kart is older than me haha but looking at a 1982 emmick the mounts are just slightly different. Gonna be difficult figuring out which year mine is from.
looks like mine may be from around early 90's based on this website www.vdm46.com/emmick-kart-id.html
Hello
can you ride this on a city hahahha
fall
top speed 350 mph hahaha
