Just ordered mine tonight. Picking up in the morning and light strips will be here Sunday from Amazon. Great follow up video.
I bought the same one last year from Tractor Supply and I am very pleased with the quality for the price. I even got a military discount when I purchased it! The salesman loaded it onto my truck bed with the forklift and I was able to easily take it off my truck by myself at my garage door entrance and put it in place.
Combo lock is still working off original 9v battery after opening safe over 1000 times (approx).
I going to install led lighting this week and look online for additional tricking out of my safe as well.
I highly recommend this safe to anyone looking to purchase an affordable and well built safe.
how did you get the military discount? i asked them and they said they dont do military discount
Have you had any issues with your keypad?
Nice safe I like the light setup 👌
Just got mine today. I'm going to do the same thing with the lights.
Just bought one from Tractor Supply Company. Love it.
Has your keypad went out
Good video man. I’m looking to pick one up myself.
I have the same safe. I am more than pleased with it.
Got one at costco in 2012 for 549.99 It is a good safe for the money. I almost bought another for my militaria collection but sicne already had this I spent more on a liberty.
These manufacturers should be sued for saying it would hold 26 long guns lmao. Half that MAYBE.
They all do that. It probably would hold 26 marlin .22s without optics lol
Remove bottom brackets, 4 holes for bolting to the floor.
I will need to making to brass thin washers with 3/8 hole for door pins hinge rubbing together metal on metal other then that great safe I also make another shelf for mine... too bad I can’t show you guys how mines came out with the an extra shelf can’t even tell besides I don’t have the black leather stitching trim they put on the rest of the selfing
I got the 12 gun version and am very happy with it! Did a lot of shopping and definitely the best bang for the buck!
Funny, I got the same lights, too!
I bought the same model a couple of months ago, last week I notice the Handle hub started to get a little bit loose, is that normal? I contacted Winchester and they sent a tech over, he said these safes are supposed to have a little play on the handle, but its not from left to right its more like front to back if that makes any sense... I feel its gonna get worst eventually
Did you know that the Winchester safe comes with a hidden 3rd key. I was running led light strips behind the Inside framework and at the top right hand corner above the top hinge where the inner frame makes a 90deg turn i felt a small zip-lock bag taped on with a single spare key hidden away from view. I didn't know if it was a fluke so i called 2 friends with Winchester safes from Tractor Supply & they found a hidden key in the same location. So in all reality they give you 3 spare keys in the event of an electronic keypad failure.
I'll have to check mine when I get home!
Let me know if yours had it there. Only reason I can think of is if someone lost their keys & forgot their keypad combination, the safe company must have a backdoor code to bypass your combo based off of your SN#, then once your inside they tell you where an extra key is hiding at. 😮
I bought the 36 gun safe from tractor supply a few weeks ago. I just checked mine and sure enough there was a key there… I’ll be damned!
@@dmcgarity I'm Glad to hear this little tip has proven itself again for someone else! If it wasn't for me "Pimping" my safe with the tape strip LEDs, I never would have ever ran my fingers along that part of the inside frame.
Ik u said 26 is a stretch im looking to get this do u think 20-22 long guns can fit in here comfortably?
Nice vid! I’m looking for an affordable reliable safe for my guns and purses. Where did you get the lights from? Disregard, I see you linked the lights. 🤦🏻♀️
Z Baby yep check out the link for the lights they are great I hope this video helped please like and subscribe to my channel
LOOKS GOOD! WHERE DOES IT SAY IT'S MADE? SOME ARE CHINA, PORTUGAL, USA...ETC.
Sadly, China
Is this brand better than Vital Impact ?
Im sure they are fine. But, they are lacking a lot of common security features of a good safe. Only three locking bolts on the opening side is easy to pry, non ul listed lock is unreliable, no customer support, ect. Just picked up a rhino kodiak 42 for five hundred and its 10x the safe. 9 pistol pockets, anti drill plate and relocker, safex system that locks the door to the body on three sides, securam lock, and actual customer service.
Im gonna pick one up this week, thanks for both pt 1 and 2, does it come with the electrical outlet inside? an does it have multiple hook up
HenrikGTI it does not have an electrical outlet. Check out my video on the lights and get a set off amazon you won’t be disappointed
@@BrandonActionJackson thank you! I was just wondering since i might wanna install a dehumidifier ! great video always cool with a 6 month down, everything looks good out of the box, but can they handle the use!
@@HenrikGTI awesome glad I was able to help. Please thumbs up the video and subscribe to my channel
Which exact lights did you get?
did they deliver inside your home for you? Tryin to order this too, but customer service being weird with the shipping. I have a bad back so a curbside drop off wont cut it for me.
I purchased this and brought it in myself. I highly doubt the driver will bring it in your house unless it was specified.
How many inches long is that green ammo can at the bottom? I'm looking at a can thats 12" length and was wondering if it would fit in this safe.
It is a 12 inch long ammo can as well and could be approximately 3 inches longer
I am looking at this same safe, was wondering how many long guns do you think you could get into it? I currently have 17 long guns (rifles, shotguns, muzzle loaders) and might add one more. Do you think they all would fit?
It will be tight... definitely will have to not use the shelves but I’d going to primarily depend on the optics on each gun
@@BrandonActionJackson Thanks, sounds like I need to look bigger!
@@johnnewell7878 yep unfortunately I’m not sure if winchester has bigger but it sure is a good one
How wide is it? 26”?
Can you post the inside dimensions? I have rifle that is 50” in length, want to know if it will fit inside the safe
yes I would like to know the same
Love it. What lights and sensor do you use? How did you attach the lights.
Check out my other videos I believe it’s also recommended at the end of this one with a link to the lights also double check the description on this video
@@BrandonActionJackson I saw the vid where you installed the light, but do you have to install a dehumidifier bar on the inside? I live in lower alabama and I'm not sure if I need to install one or not.. please advise.
@@christopherjackson1810 you could say I’m in lower Alabama as well (Panama city beach Florida) and I live less than 1000 ft from the beach. I do not have a dehumidifier in my unit because it’s inside the house and my air conditioner runs regularly and keeps the humidity down in my house below 50 percent so I don’t currently have one I haven’t felt the need to install one yet. If it was in my garage I’d definitely have one
@@BrandonActionJackson Cool deal. Thx for the info.. however I did copy you.. looks like your safe is in a spare room or your bedroom because of the window shot in the video... I tried to put it in the closet in the mancave but bad angle wont allow it.. my bathroom in the master has the him and her closets inside the bathroom and I was able to fit it in one of the closets but it has no power outlet and a buddy told me I will have mold and humidity issues because as I was cleaning out the closet and throwing away old shirts and shoes, 3 pairs of shoes had mold on the outside and he said thats clue 1 you will have humidity/mold/rust issues so I moved it from there to the middle BR aka the man cave but its now out in the open like yours.. is our safes going to be safe out in the open like that? sorry for the longwinded question as I have the tendency to over think.
@@christopherjackson1810 best thing you can do is bolt it down to the floor and sounds like you might have some humidity in your house not sure of your ac settings.
Going back and forth with this vs liberty revere at Tractor Supply wonder if the xtra $200 is worth it for the liberty
I am too. I believe the Liberty is slightly better. It has an internal hard plate behind the locking mechanism to help prevent drilling. I don't think the Winchester that that feature. Plus, the Liberty has a mechanical lock option, which I prefer. Also, Liberty Safe is made in USA. This Winchester model is imported from China.
Look into the steel thickness of each this one is only 14 gauge which is pretty easy to cut through with basic tools like a sawzall. It really all depends on what you're putting inside. If you're looking to store any serious value inside then you'd want something alot better than both. Ill never get the people with 10s of thousands in guns and valuables looking for the cheapest safe to store them.
@@liamvosefski2795 I ended up getting the Liberty and have no complaints
@@jbarres80 liberty makes a pretty solid product i think they are worth the money it is after all something you pray to never need
26 gun from Tractor Supply: $599
36 gun from Tractor Supply if you do in-store pickup: $549
Did you fasten it to wall or anything. I drilled couple holes in back of mine and screwed it to the wall
One spot I drilled it broke little of the board inside about 3/8” hole! 👎👎
@@stevenhicks815 I bolted mine the concrete slab
what’s the LED you used and the motion sensor?
Check my other videos on it there is a link
Can you give me a link to the motion sensors and lights please
Please check out my video on the install Just search my channel or the video is also recommended at the end of this one sorry I’m just unable to get the link right away
I liked how they came out and how they light up my safe
@@marcoshernandez563 did you find out about them from my video?
Noo I did not different light kit that you installed
I have the same safe and lights but, my lights keep unsticking... Anyone else and any fix besides the glue gun?
Either glue or more double sided tape I just put a dab of super glue on the back of mine
Where did you get your lights?
Go to the link at the end of the video or search my gun safe lights video on my channel
Mine won’t open anymore what can I do!!?
Pop the keypad off and use the keys that came with it to open the lock manually.
How thick is the metal?
That I don’t know It’s a lighter safe only 400lbs
This one is 14 Gauge Steel and this safe is 363 lbs....I have a 5 year old Winchester 24 Gun 12 Gauge model that is 445 lbs but that was a little more $$. This is a good safe for the $$ and will be my next purchase as my collection has grown.
Where is this safe made ?
The Great Country of China
Have any issues with your keypad?
Never
@@BrandonActionJackson awesome. Thanks for responding. I picked mine up yesterday before looking at reviews. a lot of people say the keypad fails. Hoping mine is a good one. Or if anything I hope I can buy an upgraded version. Idk if other companies keypads are compatible. I’m going to look into it.
@@IkfNorCalChamp I’ve read those same reviews and know tons of people they have this exact safe and have never had the issue.
@@BrandonActionJackson awesome that’s what I wanted to hear. Thank you for the reply’s. You got yourself a sub
Nice safe till key pad starts fucking up
Can’t it be opened by just typing in 1234?
Why would that be the case?
@@BrandonActionJackson I seen a video on it. See if I can find link
@@BrandonActionJackson never mind, it was a meth head who didn’t read the instructions Manuel 🤣
Take the liquid products out
If the price is so good then why didn't you tell us how much it costs? I'm not even going to check the link out because I already know the answer now. Thanks for not wasting my time.
No problem. It is a great price but the reality is prices change and they have on this item. That’s why I don’t tell prices in videos
Thanks for wasting our time reading your pointless comment.
@@IAMRUSTEDROOT But pointless enough for you to respond to it right? 😂
@@justsayin7937 Ditto.
@@IAMRUSTEDROOT Ditto? I don't recall calling YOUR comment pointless did I?🤔
YOU ARE BEYOND INCORRECT. That thing can be pried open ,with a 12" flat bar, in 1.5 minutes. You have a box to keep your kids out of. after mine was pried open, and the tool left behind, and the thousands of dollars I lost, and Winchesters demand for a police report for warranty. Pictures and serial number were not good enough. I wouldnt secure dog food in that painted box. the weight is sheetrock inside tinfoil.
The locks on these safes are junk and will probably lock you out eventually. These things are cheap for a reason. Safes that can’t interchange between dials and electronics have the cheapest made electronic locks possible. Junk.
26 gun safe , he's got what. 4 /5 guns lol
it's only 26 guns if you have absolutely no optics on your rifles and they're reasonably sized. Besides, guns aren't the only thing you can put in a gun safe (ammo, documents, jewelry, photos, precious metals).
Got to start somewhere George. 4 years ago I had 3 guns. Today damn near 60.
