Really appreciate u making these videos. Went to big bear today, caught my first trout limit in about an hour. Saw some kids struggling to catch so I stopped fishing and set up their poles with micetails and carolina rigs, litteraly as I was setting up the second kids pole the first kid reeled in a trout, then they were catching non stop. Felt good to get them on the fish. Also really appreciate your quick responses to questions I've had in the past. U have a great channel keep up the good work!
Always got to get the younger generation fishing. That's the only way the sport survives. Plus it's just much better for them mentally to get outside than to just be inside all day.
@TroutWest ya I agree, fishing kept me outta trouble growing up. Just seeing those kids light up with excitement when they got the fish to bite brought a lot of joy to my day
Cool spot! Always a special moment to see the young ones’ excitement when they are reeling them in. Tight lines! 🤙🏽
Helps us remember how it should be
I was 5 when I caught my first trout. I applaud you for family values

🦖
Well done. 👏👏👏
Nice catches!
I live in big bear have a couple months left here before returning to Orange County, I have spent a lot of hours fishing by the observatory using inflated worms and power bait and never catch anything, I’d pay someone to kind of shadow them for an hour and get some tips and advice
You should join up on patreon. We do a lot of reports and information for new anglers. We also will have the opportunity to do some classes pretty soon. Right now we're putting together a series of classes for new anglers for setups and bait, rigging and etc.

Nice Im hit this sunday big bear
Good luck on the trip!
You think evening fishing is fine? Trying to go with my brother this week
The bite has been strongest midday... I don't see any reason why you wouldn't hook up though.
@@TroutWest ok thank you we went Sunday morning for the first time and loved it so decided to take a mid week trip after work lol
I have watched your videos trouts fishing at big bear lake, apparently you didn’t show what rig n baits you used to catch those rainbows trout, I have plans to go fishing there from LA 100 miles, I’m afraid to catch Nothing there if I don’t have the right stuff to get my bag fill. It would be a waste of time and gas and $, next video you should show more info. Thanks. I’m Sam.
Definitely watch more videos on my channel. We show the bait rigs a lot.
Is that a elixir rod? What kind of reel is that
It looks like a daiwa presso rod with a shimano reel. The other rod looked like an ugly stick, maybe.
Daiwa Presso... and a Shimano Clarus
Were u using P.B.?
