Guys I’m sorry about the video saying 64 oz of oil! It’s actually 48oz of oil if you aren’t changing the filter. If you’re changing the filter it calls for 56oz of oil. Please refer to your owners manual and make sure you put the right amount in. I did have to drain some out after I made the vid. Sorry guys

Thanks for the video! I'm a 61 year old widow and i had changed the oil a few years ago but forgot how to do it🙈 Your video was a great refresher for me. I did have a moment of panic when you mentioned the amount of oil, lol but after verifying the specs in my manual I was good.

This was a GREAT resource man, and just in time for the season. I'm doing this over the weekend. I ran the trickler charger on it for half a day and she came to life after months of no activity just fine. Now to treat her to some clean lubrication :) Thanks for taking the time to make this and for the tips!

Looked good. Just need to be certain on the correct amount of ounces to add. Also, did not seem to drain as much as I would be putting in. But overall, an excellent presentation. Last year I had called Husq about how one gets to the drain. The cust rep had no clue because they were referring to the maint. manual which did not show anything about removing the plastic black panel nor how. Geez! GREAT VIDEO, Sir. Thank you very much.

I didn't get a chance to change the oil, I bought this model Husqvarna YTH18542 it is a 2021 Model with a Briggs 18.5 HP engine, I mowed my lawn only 4 times ( 6 hours of use ) after purchasing the mower and the Briggs engine threw a rod right through the engine block. are these newer Briggs engines junk? also I heard Briggs claimed bankruptcy and now only has one plant.

Where did you get “2 quarts” of oil? My YTH18542 B&S engine model 330000 says on pg. 9 of the manual “Oil Capacity” is 46 - 48 oz, which is about 1.5 quarts.
