Putting the oil on the rubber ring helps it seal. Nice video!
Nice tip! Thank you
After adding the new oil run the mower a few minutes then recheck the Oil level again as the new Oil filter will take up some of the oil that you added
Good tip!
Thanks for the video. The foil tip worked great!
Glad it worked out for you!
It is almost beyond belief that competent engineers could not engineer a simple process to drain oil and avoid all the mess and unnecessary complexity associated with this process!
I agree. We’ve been replacing oil in engines for years, why do we need to make them harder?
Those drain plugs suck
I have the same model and mine came loose
Thank God I was an doing an oil change
When I drained it only a half of a quart came out
The thing was leaking oil when I was using it because of the loose drain plug
If I hadn’t change the oil at that time I might have seized the engine.
I am replacing their piece of garbage with a modified and much sturdier drain plug.
There are videos on here on how to do it.
I feel like we as a society (especially the engineers designing these machines) should have perfected the oil change drain plug. I guess we'll need to keep holding our breaths.
It takes 2 quarts. Nice tip with the foil.
Thank you!!
