They really bullied me, my dad (who is a christian pastor) said he preferred to see me dead to see me gay, that I destroyed the whole family. To be honest, I find the thought and the backstory that went into Electra Heart incredible. Every time I watch these archetypes I find something new in the story and the symbolism that went into it. All in one album. If that isn't amazingly creative then I don't know what is.

This is an awesome final song to Electra heart. It has a storyline. This song is her realizing that she deserves happiness and the world isn’t truly evil. Okay, so my friend and I are hardcore Diamonds, and I came up with this theory from the videos and lyrics that he added on to and I'll try to explain it as best as I can! Part 1: Fear and Loathing is Electra getting rid of who she once was. Perhaps it was after a breakup or something? This is not the first time, either. (been many people different times). Part 2: Radioactive is Electra meeting a new man who she feels like she's on top of the world with. Together, they are toxic and destructive (when you're around me, I'm radioactive) but again, she feels amazing with him. Also, she tries blonde. Perhaps her boyfriend enjoys it. Part 3: The Archetypes. Electra actually dyes her hair blonde and actually becomes Electra Heart, and is showing the world who she has become. Also, she is revealing that she and the man are now married (housewife). Part 4: Primadonna. Electra is sure of who she is now, and she gets into a whole "I don't need anyone but myself" place. She feels like the queen of the world. Part 5: SU-BARBIE-A, Electra's husband doesn't appreciate her telling him he's unneeded, and so they begin to argue constantly, as evidenced by the arguing in the background. Part 6: Power and Control. Electra's marriage is beginning to fall apart, and they both begin cheating on each other. It becomes a literal power play for both of them. Part 7: How To Be a Heartbreaker, Electra is now divorced from her husband and is now fooling around with several new men. Also, she removed the blonde from her hair, going back to her natural dark hair. Part 8: E.V.O.L, Electra begins to realise that she is a little heartbroken and "fucked up" after divorcing her husband. The fun with new boys has run dry. Part 9: State of Dreaming, Electra realises that she ruined her own life by being narcissistic and unappreciative. She realises that she's been "living in a make-believe land" where she didn't need anyone but herself. Part 10: Lies. Electra gets her husband back. Sort of. He doesn't love her anymore, and she's completely heartbroken. Their relationship now is purely sexual, and she knows it will never be mended. Part 11: Electra Heart. Electra's life has fizzed out, and after ruining her marriage and losing her husband and all the happiness she ever had, Electra kills herself. I hate when people say things like "OMG LISTENING TO MARINA MAKES ME DEPRESSED AND I LOVE IT" because people actually do go through depression, as Marina did and I really feel depressed a lot and i feel they're just trying to fit in. And also people who say Marina glamorizes depression, she doesn't, she's singing about her past and if you haven't been through even a bit of a depressed or suicidal feeling don't try to understand it because you won't.

The man has also moved on but Electra wants to break-up Part 7: Electra dumps the guy and moves on to her old life and becomes world famous Heartbreaker that everyone watches out for even though she secretly wants them all to see her as more than that (You got to be the first to run Part 8: Electra is moving out of her old life and going to move on to more serious love looking for an actual love instead of fake love like she's used to (Love is Evol) Part 9: Electra starts to lose her grip on the body and she slowly starts to go back to living in a dream (I've been living in a state of dreaming) Part 10: Electra Heart is finally coming to cope and goes out with one more guy to make herself feel better and maybe stay taking over Marina's body (I don't want to know) Part 11: Electra Heart comes to terms and gives up killing herself and the rest of the voices with her and only leaving Marina and her body. Nice theory. Here's my theory about Electra: Fear and Loathing: Marina decides to change into someone she's not, so she creates and becomes Electra. Radioactive: Electra (because she's no longer Marina at this point) falls in love with a guy who's as lecherous as she is. The Archetypes: Electra has 4 archetypes (housewife, beauty queen, homewrecker & teen idle) and she tries to find which one she wants to be. Primadonna: Electra decides to be her Beauty Queen archetype (aka a Primadonna) Su-Barbie-A: Electra looks back at her Beauty Queen archetype and she starts thinking that she's fake like a Barbie doll. Power and Control: Electra is in a relationship with a guy (I'm 99% sure it's the same one that she fell in love with in Radioactive) and he's in control of their relationship. Electra decides that she wants to be in control. That brings fights between them and at the end, the guy dumps her. How To Be A Heartbreaker: Electra starts dating multiple guys, to cure her broken heart, hoping she'll find love again but she also thinks "If he can do it to me, I can do it to them" E.V.O.L: Electra stops trying to find love and convinces herself that love is evil. The State of Dreaming: Electra sees that she only focuses in her dreams and not on reality. She becomes Marina again. Lies: Marina tells Electra that she's a lie and that Electra doesn't love Marina as much as Marina thought Electra did when she created her (a lot of people think Lies is a love song, and it is in one way but in another way, it's not at all) Electra Heart: Marina looks back at her life as Electra and regrets deeply all the things she did. She says that Electra only lives in the dark and is blinded by the light, where Marina wants to lead her and confront her. They go to the forest. The song has the line "Can we go back?". It's unclear whether it's Marina or Electra saying that. If it's Marina, she wants to go back to the start and never create Electra. If it's Electra, she apologises to Marina and wants to make it up to her by going back and undoing everything. But Marina can't and won't go back because she knows that Electra will always be Electra because of the archetypes she has. And then, Marina wipes off the heart from her cheek. That does NOT mean that Electra committed suicide, nor that Marina killed her. The heart was smudged and not completely erased. That means that Marina won the war between her and Electra, defeated her and since because of that Electra was no longer part of Marina, Marina left Electra behind and is ready to move on and start her life again as Marina

I don't really think so, since this is the last song on the album and at the end Electra Heart (the character) kills herself, she's letting go of her life and ending it with pills, this is basically her last thoughts that led her to commit suicide, the "floating" I guess is the feeling she gets from the pills when she gets high from them before she dies

God I just love this song so much. It means a lot to me. It’s honestly insane how much how much Marina speaks to me, both her and Melanie I ignored for so long and now are my favorite artists, listening to some Marina songs for the first time it kind of blew my mind how insanely similar the lyrics match to me like numb from family jewels and valley of the dolls. I’m feeling like this song right now INSANELY, also the parts talking about being different people hit hard, I’m trying to stop feeling so bitter about life mostly though and not lose myself in that anger and sadness, not only that but her music makes me feel so at home too and that’s why I love it, like it’s genuinely so comforting compared to so many artists like even if the lyrics aren’t really positive it still makes me feel safe listening to it, she truly inspires me with her journey of music too and seeing how many other people she helped with her music I’m so glad to be a fan of her

omg it all comes together. so watch Part 2 (Radioactive) first, then continue on the videos and you see Marina become a Pop Star/Diva with her Electra Heart persona and in Part 11 (Electra Heart), she wipes off her heart--representing the end of the Electra Heart era, but this video is technically the last video of the Electra Heart series, she doesn't have a heart on her cheek and she is feeling "fear and loathsome" from becoming what she didn't want to become in the first place (an egotistical Pop Star). This is the end of the Electra Heart era. She is such a genius.
Damn God, I love this woman. She doesn't go around shaking her ass. She really has something to say, and her song will make you, I don't know, think. Yeah, THINK. Because she really writes this songs believing in something. Her songs are good examples of what I like to call "intelligent songs" ... Ugh this was the second song by Marina that I listened to. The first was How to be a Heartbreaker but that was shown to me by some friends and I couldn't base my reactions off it alone. Then I heard this. The 6 minute version of it, with her grandma singing. And I loved it. It annoys me how this version drops off before the last verse, as it was by far my favorite. I also dislike how quick the fade is when it does end.

I hate when people say things like "OMG LISTENING TO MARINA MAKES ME DEPRESSED AND I LOVE IT" because people actually do go through depression, as Marina did and I really feel depressed a lot and i feel they're just trying to fit in. And also people who say Marina glamorizes depression, she doesn't, she's singing about her past and if you haven't been through even a bit of a depressed or suicidal feeling don't try to understand it because you won't.

Part 6: Electra has moved on from the guy yet is still dating him for everything he's got. The man has also moved on but Electra wants to break-up
Part 7: Electra dumps the guy and moves on to her old life and becomes world famous Heartbreaker that everyone watches out for even though she secretly wants them all to see her as more than that (You got to be the first to run

Nice theory. Here's my theory about Electra:
Fear and Loathing: Marina decides to change into someone she's not, so she creates and becomes Electra.
Radioactive: Electra (because she's no longer Marina at this point) falls in love with a guy who's as lecherous as she is.
The Archetypes: Electra has 4 archetypes (housewife, beauty queen, homewrecker & teen idle) and she tries to find which one she wants to be.
Primadonna: Electra decides to be her Beauty Queen archetype (aka a Primadonna)
Su-Barbie-A: Electra looks back at her Beauty Queen archetype and she starts thinking that she's fake like a Barbie doll.
Power and Control: Electra is in a relationship with a guy (I'm 99% sure it's the same one that she fell in love with in Radioactive) and he's in control of their relationship. Electra decides that she wants to be in control. That brings fights between them and at the end, the guy dumps her.
How To Be A Heartbreaker: Electra starts dating multiple guys, to cure her broken heart, hoping she'll find love again but she also thinks "If he can do it to me, I can do it to them"
E.V.O.L: Electra stops trying to find love and convinces herself that love is evil.
The State of Dreaming: Electra sees that she only focuses in her dreams and not on reality. She becomes Marina again.
Lies: Marina tells Electra that she's a lie and that Electra doesn't love Marina as much as Marina thought Electra did when she created her (a lot of people think Lies is a love song, and it is in one way but in another way, it's not at all)
Electra Heart: Marina looks back at her life as Electra and regrets deeply all the things she did. She says that Electra only lives in the dark and is blinded by the light, where Marina wants to lead her and confront her. They go to the forest. The song has the line "Can we go back?". It's unclear whether it's Marina or Electra saying that. If it's Marina, she wants to go back to the start and never create Electra. If it's Electra, she apologises to Marina and wants to make it up to her by going back and undoing everything. But Marina can't and won't go back because she knows that Electra will always be Electra because of the archetypes she has. And then, Marina wipes off the heart from her cheek. That does NOT mean that Electra committed suicide, nor that Marina killed her. The heart was smudged and not completely erased. That means that Marina won the war between her and Electra, defeated her and since because of that Electra was no longer part of Marina, Marina left Electra behind and is ready to move on and start her life again as Marina

I don't really think so, since this is the last song on the album and at the end Electra Heart (the character) kills herself, she's letting go of her life and ending it with pills, this is basically her last thoughts that led her to commit suicide, the "floating" I guess is the feeling she gets from the pills when she gets high from them before she dies

It’s honestly insane how much how much Marina speaks to me, both her and Melanie I ignored for so long and now are my favorite artists, listening to some Marina songs for the first time it kind of blew my mind how insanely similar the lyrics match to me like numb from family jewels and valley of the dolls. I’m feeling like this song right now INSANELY, also the parts talking about being different people hit hard, I’m trying to stop feeling so bitter about life mostly though and not lose myself in that anger and sadness, not only that but her music makes me feel so at home too and that’s why I love it, like it’s genuinely so comforting compared to so many artists like even if the lyrics aren’t really positive it still makes me feel safe listening to it, she truly inspires me with her journey of music too and seeing how many other people she helped with her music I’m so glad to be a fan of her

Marina's lyrics are particularly connective to me, for some reason, I feel like they put my depression into words. Her voice, the synth, the words, it's perfect.
spotify had this thing called "genius" explain the lyrics of her songs and the album. she had a huge breakup and instead of the "I love you come back" type of songs she decided to go "queen bitch" mode which is the vibe I got from the album. very talented. love these songs

omg it all comes together. so watch Part 2 (Radioactive) first, then continue on the videos and you see Marina become a Pop Star/Diva with her Electra Heart persona and in Part 11 (Electra Heart), she wipes off her heart--representing the end of the Electra Heart era, but this video is technically the last video of the Electra Heart series, she doesn't have a heart on her cheek and she is feeling "fear and loathsome" from becoming what she didn't want to become in the first place (an egotistical Pop Star). This is the end of the Electra Heart era. She is such a genius.
Damn God, I love this woman. She doesn't go around shaking her ass. She really has something to say, and her song will make you, I don't know, think. Yeah, THINK. Because she really writes this songs believing in something. Her songs are good examples of what I like to call "intelligent songs" ...
