There is probably almost no one out there with a modded switch since it's Yamauchi's latest console, maybe homebrewing it once nintendo online servers get shut down then yeah, in that way you won't be able to get your account or switch temporarily / permanently banned. You've also got to consider that patched nintendo switches can't be homebrewed because they'll get bricked if you do so.

The cost isn't worth the lack of good exclusives. The only reason to have a switch is for the main high expense games, so don't get one thinking you're gonna be able to get anything new for free. It's sad to see, honestly.
