Hey thanks. So fifine doesn’t recommend using usb devices for this mixer. Though that does sound like a good experiment. A few people have already asked about this. Maybe it’s time I create a video for it 😉
You can use any headset that is not a usb headset with this mixer. Works with headsets with built in mics as well so doesnt necessarily need a standalone mic either. Hope I understood your question correctly.
@@FuegoJustinnn thanks for the question. The sm7b needs at least a good 60db of gain for optimal use. This preamp only provides 50db. Also it’s 16bit. I wouldn’t recommend for that mic.
If you have the 3.5mm wired headset, you can plug it into the mixer while the mixer is hooked up to the USB port of the PS5 console. But in this setup, there's nothing to do with the controller. If you choose to use headsets with the controller or it's a pair of wireless headsets or the USB one, then there's no use case for the mixer in your setup.
Hello, i just bought one and I have a hyperx quad cast mic (usb mini - USB A), do you know a way to connect the mic with the mixer, or if it is possible? I don´t know which cables to buy. Can you help me? Thank you.
I wish the sample rate was a little better for the recording buttons. Simply because it would be useful when recording short clips, you'd want them to sound like the original sample. With that dip in quality, it just makes it more difficult to reliably use it. For something like FiveM would be an interesting tool to use for certain Roleplaying Characters. Overall, it seems decent but almost feels like it would be more worth it to spend a little more to get more features.

Hello! I'm planning to buy this mixer to pair with my Fifine AM8 however I found out that when you switch to XLR cable from usb, you lose the ability to mute the mic via the sensitive touch on the mic, is there a way to be able to mute mic using sensitive touch while using the XLR mixer at the same time?
Sorry just seeing this in my comments. Latency via direct monitoring? Shouldn’t really have that with this device. Unless related to the mic type. Can’t say for sure what it is. Need more context of your setup.
are you able to use the custom buttons to copy game audio? like to mess with someone in game chat by replaying what they say? or does it only record your mic
Nice idea. Yep you can record their audio coming in if you can time that right. It will pick up all audio though unless you’re able to mute game audio.
So I’m thinking hooking up my dac/amp into the line in and using headphones to monitor just want to make sure that I’ll still benefit from using an amp if it’s going into the mixer
@@SojuLOL I can’t see why that wouldn’t work. But this is. Budget device I can’t say with certainty there will be a limitation there. Should get my hands on an amp for testing purposes.
@@blackhatphotography7687 you shouldn’t really get delay when monitoring through the mixer directly with the pod mic. The only way you would get significant delay is if you set your pc to listen to a device in sound settings. Fifine also doesn’t have any method of restring the mixer to default or any firmware updates that I know of. Unless the culprit is the mic itself.
@@thelopez0194 I don't have a video on this specifically. Not totally sure you can even do that with this device without a third party app or physically connecting your game audio to a separate aux channel somehow.
I hope you will see this over a year later. Think this will work well with the Shure SM7B for podcasting and gaming? My Pyle 4 channel mixer stopped working :(
It's not about the brand but how the audio works. USB mics are built to work without an external sound card so they have one built in, and a large proportion of the cost of a USB is the ADC inside, it doesn't make much sense to bypass it and spend the extra on something that's not for it in the first place and won't improve the performance noticeably.
Not a bad mixer but if you have dual pc the mic plays as an echo coming from the mic out and line out, I was hoping to use the line out for music but I do have that problem.
Thank you for sharing your experience. Instead of using the line out from the mixer try using your capture card to move audio from the primary pc to the streaming one. Set that machine to listen to the capture card for all audio routing through the gaming pc.
Good question. As far as I can tell not on a hardware level. That was set at the manufacturing of these. It’s not one of its strong points. I do feel though at this point or soon we should get a Fifine app the way there is the Maono link software to eq devices.
I have a question, can you set this to get audio on a dual pc stream setup similar to a go xlr? I don’t mind not being able to control it individually as I currently have it through a splitter. Thanks for the review!
Did you have any issues with the mic monitoring feature on this? I got this a couple days ago and everything works great except for that and i cant figure it out
Hey. Thanks for the question. So it definitely doesn’t have to be a fifine mic. Can be any xlr mic. Just have to be sure to use the correct xlr/condenser mode.
@@JJmovementGaming blue snowball no. its usb. You CAN use a usb mic with the mixer.. only if your mic has a 3.5mm jack and you can run it through line-in or headset for mix area on usb mics.. but it's not recommended. XLR is recommended for this mixer.
When it comes to the ambient background noise, can i use an audio app to supress it? Kinda sounds like an obvious question but im new to this so im not sure
Any idea if this can provide phantom power to a mic and have the power for dt 990 pro 250 ohms? My scarlet solo cant handle the headphones so I have to use a secondary amp currently.
No this will not power high impedance headphones. You will still need to use an amp to power those. I'll add as well, most audio interfaces will not have sufficient power for high impedance headphones. And it is perfectly okay to use an audio interface and an amp. That's what I do as well as many others.
I have the Fifine AM8 mic and i love it. So this was a natural fit to upgrade to XLR. I tend to stick to same brands for maximum compatibility. its a great entry level mixer, Just wish the amp was a little louder. I have to daisy chain an extra headphone amp to make it nice and loud. Im using my Nintendo Switch on the line in and even all the way up i can barely hear it. The custom sound effects recording is horrible though, sounds like it was recorded with a string and a tin can
Thank you for your comment! The Fifine SC3 is designed to work with a variety of headphones, so it should do a great job with your dt770. Unless you had some other use for it in mind?

@@johnrodes4859 a little tricky since it sounds like your talking about controlling/adjusting audio sources of apps independently in pc audio mixer settings. Not sure if there’s hardware that does that. Might need to use something like OBS and set Spotify as a source and then a hot key to mute that source. Never actually done it myself though.
This device does not support usb headsets unfortunately. Your headset will need to have a 3.5mm output. It will support the headset mic as well in that fashion.
IT’s recommended by fifine that you use an xlr mic. Usb conversion may not play nice converting digital to analog. It’s really not meant for it to be used that way.
Sorry no, it's best fit with the 32 Ohm headphone, and it becomes quite struggled when it comes to power up those over 64 ohm, not to mention the high-z 250 ohm.
Only down side to that is that you can't press and hold down the censor button/sound in order to sensor everything you want to censor. It'll have to be a set length of the censor sound that will either play too short or long for what you want to censor.
Great video! I have two questions. Does this work with a blue yeti mic? Does this have an echo repeat effect? For example I want to shout out a gifter and make it repeat
No, first of all, the XLR adapter is one way round, it won't work from USB to XLR. Next, usb mics are built to get rid of the external mixers. if you want to bypass the internal one of your USB mic, which is a quite large part of what you paid for a USB mic, then it's better not to get a USB mic in the first place. That means, if you haven't planned to upgrade your setup, just stick with the quadcast, which is pretty good enough tbh.
@@Caribbean-Dream242 unfortunately this doesn’t work with usb mics. Needs to be xlr. I’ve even tried using a usb to 3.5mm aux adapter and still doesn’t work.
@@Smillii Yes, it works pretty fine with 32 ohms headphones. And the coloration is related to the power and impedance of the output. So we wouldn't say it's the most neutral output for the price, but there's no noticeable difference from what you actually hear.

Thanks for the question. Unfortunately this doesn’t work with usb mics, even with converters.
So do you connect the PS5 control where? I see the headset but where do you plug the controller?
@@mrpresident5186 this is a mixer for audio only. It doesn’t serve as a usb hub. Controller has to stay in the ps5.

@@tomasazevedo8388 so unfortunately usb mics don’t work with this mixer. Actually most mixers don’t work with usb mics or headsets.
Will I have better microphone quality if I buy this mixer and switch to xlr?
Thanks for the question. That is correct, better audio quality is just one of the benefits.
Im more or less curious if its possible to connect a USB microphone using a 3.5mm adapter to this mixer
Unfortunately it won’t work. I tried with a trrs adapter. No gold.
@@Keego0201 agreed. With that said, you may want to check out the Maono G1 Neo. May have what you’re looking for. Check my review on it

Once you are in xlr you will not be able to use the onboard buttons on the mic. They only work in usb mode.
Excellent review!
Thanks 🙏🏼. This was a fun one.
I have been having problems with latency, any advice??
Sorry just seeing this in my comments. Latency via direct monitoring? Shouldn’t really have that with this device. Unless related to the mic type. Can’t say for sure what it is. Need more context of your setup.
are you able to use the custom buttons to copy game audio? like to mess with someone in game chat by replaying what they say? or does it only record your mic
Nice idea. Yep you can record their audio coming in if you can time that right. It will pick up all audio though unless you’re able to mute game audio.
Am I able to hook a headphone amp up to this device?
I haven't tried connecting a headphone amp. Will it be connected directly or inline?
So I’m thinking hooking up my dac/amp into the line in and using headphones to monitor just want to make sure that I’ll still benefit from using an amp if it’s going into the mixer
@@SojuLOL I can’t see why that wouldn’t work. But this is. Budget device I can’t say with certainty there will be a limitation there. Should get my hands on an amp for testing purposes.
So when you plug ur phone in the line in for music, do you hear the music thru the headphones you also plug into it?
Do you mean when you plug your headphones into the mixer? If so then yes.

fifine gaming audio mixer + pc w11 + rode pop mic = hear my voice with delay
@@blackhatphotography7687 you shouldn’t really get delay when monitoring through the mixer directly with the pod mic. The only way you would get significant delay is if you set your pc to listen to a device in sound settings. Fifine also doesn’t have any method of restring the mixer to default or any firmware updates that I know of. Unless the culprit is the mic itself.
I just got mine. I hear a little static noise when I plug my IEM into the headphones spot. is there something i am doing wrong? thanks

I have a fifine mic that has a usb plugin cord. Is the mixer compatible with all fifne mics?
@@tamikabirthwright4941 only the mics that have an xlr or 3.5mm aux connection. USB won’t work.
Can i run a Rode Podmic & a Rode NTH-100 perfectly on this thing??
You can run both through this mixer just fine. Just know you can only use one mic at a time.
Is there any way to make the custom recording better quality?
Good question. As far as I can tell not on a hardware level. That was set at the manufacturing of these. It’s not one of its strong points. I do feel though at this point or soon we should get a Fifine app the way there is the Maono link software to eq devices.
What kind of xlr cable do u recommend for the mixer and does it matter what kind of boom arm u use for the fifine am8
Honestly I don’t think either of these matter. Fifine takes both sizes and a standard xlr will suffice.

No this will not power high impedance headphones. You will still need to use an amp to power those.
I'll add as well, most audio interfaces will not have sufficient power for high impedance headphones. And it is perfectly okay to use an audio interface and an amp. That's what I do as well as many others.
I use a yamaha MG10XU and it powers high impedence cans and well as mics.
Question I have the FIfine RGB headset with mic! So where do I plug in audio jack from sc3 also I’m on Pc
Hi. If the headset has a 3.5mm Jack then can just use the headset port. If usb you will need an adapter.
I think you referred to the H6 USB headset, that model doesn't work with the SC3, you have to use it with the 3.5mm headset.

Absolutely. You can use it for ANY sound. Just add your own censor sound you would like.

Would this work if I got an xlr adapter for my hyper x quad cast s
I’m a little sketchy with converting usb to xlr. It may or may not ok work.
