Up to a point @_Ben4810, but we can of course only legislate locally, not in the other countries that you've mentioned. It's not so much the goal of net zero that's wrong as the way our various governments are trying to achieve it. In Wales the headline figures of 10% tree cover etc are attracting attention, but it's probably a fair bit more nuanced in reality. In the West we now rely heavily on China (for example) to manufacture goods on our behalf, so we can't complain when they use energy to do so, nor shirk our own responsibility to de-carbonise our domestic energy consumption, given that the burden has been lightened by offshoring so much production of goods.

Adding 'healthy bacteria' to seeds works at domestic level too, Harry. I buy a packet of 'healthy bacteria' and 'healthy fungi' every other year and add a smidgen into all the garden centre compost I use to germinate vegetable seeds (trays and module trays). The effect of that is that every time I transplant out rows of vegetables, bacteria and fungi are introduced into the soil where they grow (back garden and allotment). I enjoyed this! My head is all full of wheat these days, I’m planning to get a home stone mill (Mockmill) for my bread making. At this point I’m planning to source organic wheat berries because I’m concerned about Glyphosate sprayed on the wheat as a desiccant, close to harvest time. I hear it’s a common practice here in Canada because of the short growing season and in the UK because of rainy weather. What say you? Sometimes I worry that governments are so focused on saving us from climate change, they forget people need to eat and farms feed cities! It’s about as stupid as dropping a nuclear bomb on a city, to take care of the rat problem.
When will the majority of farmers in Scotland ever get any detail on the proposals for Scottish farming? Certainly not until after the general election.
Pseudomonas ... can anyone explain? I once had a small Health Pool fail the monthly test because of Pseudomonas ... found in the pump room pipework and plumbing, apparently.
You had a nice crop of wheat in that first field. There are some good healthy looking crops around me in Ludgershall and I spotted a field of osr with its flower stems well above the plants. P.s any chance of an update on your classic range rover and the new range rover sport.
How has the solar worked out over the last 12 months? Still worth it? Btw, great video.
Am I right in saying that those trees at 2:15 have been pollarded? If so, when was he last time they were pollarded? If not, what sepcies are they?
Just wondering if there was no government payments schemes or directives would it change what you grow on your farm.
Love when a video pops up from Harry
Thank you Harry
Is there much difference between the john Deere drill and claydon at the minute?
What has local farming (Wheat) to do with the weather / meteorology ?
All go go go !
Wondering if pork prices have gone up in line with beef and lamb?
When will the majority of farmers in Scotland ever get any detail on the proposals for Scottish farming? Certainly not until after the general election.
Great video , this nitrogen fixing dressing sounds as though it could be a game changer
Why are governments all over the world failing its population? It’s scary to see what they do to the farming and ranching industries
Pseudomonas ... can anyone explain?
I once had a small Health Pool fail the monthly test because of Pseudomonas ... found in the pump room pipework and plumbing, apparently.
It's March and it hasn't stopped raining where I am 'Arry!
If there is a better RUclips channel, I do not know it.
You had a nice crop of wheat in that first field. There are some good healthy looking crops around me in Ludgershall and I spotted a field of osr with its flower stems well above the plants. Not bad for the 1st week of March. (That was near Amesbury).
There is a great deal of flooding on the lower lying river valleys, but they are mainly permanent pasture.
Why no mention of the English farmer protests?
Harry, Lincolnshire is a bog.
I drove around Lincolnshire a few days ago, there are large puddles and mini lakes in plenty of fields still.
How rude! I’ve been to Lincolnshire a few times in the past and it was lovely! 😀
East Yorkshire the same
Rude, what the hell do you mean rude. I live here, I am stating facts. Would you prefer Soggy @@javelinXH992
Politicians should stay away from food production. Their degrees are in law mostly. Harry, we had that much rain in one night here in Queensland Australia! That wheat looks bloody great.
Well done re Welsh farmers 🏴 There is an expression for motoring enthusiasts, e.g petrol head, we need the same for farming enthusiast or the like. Any suggestions Harrys farm followers? 🤔
Nice explanation. 👌✨🤔
Please tell us what happens to the wheat that you grow. What is the end product.
How about industrial hemp which has so many potential uses? Henry the VIII used to mandate it-:)
Great wheat Harry . You deserve a break after last year's osr.
Interesting thanks.
Not sure the Welsh gov closed down steel making.
Brexit did,the company diverted orders to plant in EU.
Would snowfall instead of rain have been better or worse for the farm?
Steel is a UK government responsibility, we have signed up to reduce climate change
So wheat 24 uses up all the reserves, and the UK is going into 25 without any wheat reserves?
