Welcome to Fireside Gaming! We release a new video every couple of weeks. Look for us to upload between Friday and Sunday!
We do a little bit of everything here when it comes to games but one of the biggest focuses is on retro gaming. Even so, don't be surprised if you see us pump out a video for a new release here and there, or even take a look at games still in their unfinished states.
If you want to chat us up on social media, you can find us at these links.

I have just finished getting the platinum trophy for gu recode. It was fun to go back and play them. .hack was probably my favorite anime series. I too hope the originals get a recode.

I'm looking forward to getting to GU. I only every beat the first one back in the day so it will be somewhat new territory for me.

.hack was that show I never understood as a kid, but felt cool watching.
I still have IMO as well, missing Q.

YOOO! DOT HACK! Man, I loved that series. Tho I did get into it extremely late, only fully learning of it thru Project X Zone. But since then, I've seen Sign and played thru IMOQ and G.U.
Also, I guess for transparency, you could mention //Link and that whole era, but I guess it'll start to get a bit confusing narrative wise. -(Plus Link was kinda meh)-.
Oh, and to this day, I still love Sign's ost. That soundtrack is notbing more but phenomenal. Looking forward to your retrospective!

I actually just picked up Project X Zone the other day. I've never played it before but it looks fun.
I only didn't mention Link because I'm not to familiar with it. I know it got an English patch recently but haven't checked it out yet.
I really wanted to include some songs from Sign in this video but didn't want to attract a potential copyright strike.

I don't reccomand starting with sign, but rather with Infection.
My reasoning is that sign is confusing without the context of how the game works and is a slow anime (and like I love slow animes, like Lain is an all time favorite of mine but sign is... sloooooow).
I say this because I spent years trying to get into .hack through sign, and just couldn't get past a few episodes, but as soon as I tried Infection I was hooked on the whole franchise.

That's completely fair. The pacing of Sign never bothered me but starting with Infection is still a good entry point.
