I'd love to know from a local what some good restaurants are for when I visit. I'd rather go to real restaurants where the locals eat than the tourist garbage we always get from chains.

You will get some great buys at Straw market. Anything and everything.. but negotiate and never pay full price. You will have a great time. 👍👍

How far is the marketplace and the queen’s staircase from the port, also the liquor store you showed us do they carry Hennessy White? Any other suggestions on things to do near the port?
The market place is literally right outside the gate of the port. Queens staircase is up the hill from thr marketplace. We walked there last time we were there. Its about 15 20 minute walk up hill from market place. There are many liquor stores so i would think someone will have hennessy. Junkanoo beach is about 30 minute walk. Check out my videos on Balmoral island or blue laggon for beach day. There are a few museums in port as well. So much there to explore. Have fun. 👍👍⛱⛱😎😎

Got back from here last week on a cruise. Honestly my suggestion is to book the blue lagoon island excursion or pearl island excursion. If not just stay on the boat. Nothing but people aggressively selling at you. Not relaxing, not worth it.
Can't go wrong with those suggestions. Back in Nassau few weeks. Doing something different. Don't miss it. 😎😎
That's how some of the people make their living by some making the items and selling them. They are individual business persons. Regulated I'm sure by the government. It's beautiful in the Bahamas and the people of the Bahamas very friendly and welcoming...enjoy!
Agree the Bahamas are amazing and the people are great.
@@cjsweeting7 they most certainly were not "welcoming and friendly" they were pushy and irritating, saw many others visibly annoyed
Jordan don't miss the video i am just finishing up on the food tour in Nassau. The tour guide was amazing and could not be more accommodating. Not saying your not going to run into some people that are rude, but that happens everywhere in the USA.
Are cabs by the port entrance to take us to Queens Staircase. I would not want to walk there tho folks are saying its only a 15 minute walk. I would not feel safe walking through an empty neighborhood, no other tourists etc etc
Yes there are cabs everywhere. Hopefully you saw this video the walk to queens staircase...ruclips.net/video/MmdaG5djw8A/видео.html it's really only 15 minute walk and daytime you will be fine. Lots of tourist walk there.

Casablanca is kind of across the street from Senor frogs . Be sure to try the Havana Club 7 rum!
I want to visit this place next year. Is it safe for women to visit ? My daughter and want to go.
We go on a cruise ship so there is always alot of people around. And as long as staying in tourist area and not venturing out at night you will be fine. Hope you get to go there afte so many activities in Nassau. Be sure to check out blue lagoon and balmoral island videos. 😎😎⛱⛱

What a waste -- seems like this is some advertising for the Nassau Board of Commerce. Tons of kitsch shops. What about showing items that are unique and can only be bought in Nassau? Supposedly, historical buildings? What history? Are there no museums in Nassau? It would seems that Nassau is a tourist rip-off.
Your absolutely wrong. Been there 14 times 2 more times this year... don't trash a place when you have never been there.🤐🤐🤐👎👎👎
