- Опубликовано: 21 апр 2024
- The Glock 49 is a Full Size Slide on a Short Frame. The opposite of the Glock G19x or G45. There have been a lot of people asking for this and now it's here through Talo Dist. as an exclusive.
Thanks to Talo and Lipsey's for their help making this video possible. @LipseysGuns @GlockIncSmyrna
Big thanks to Fiocchi USA for Supplying our ammunition! @FiocchiUSA

Now we need a 26 frame with a 19 slide would be awesome
19.5 barrel in a 26 shoots great actually. Wouldn't be surprised if the next hybrid is that or with a 49/47 slide
Another cool vídeo Sootch, as i can see your channel always surprise me. Cheers from Brazil, i hope that the USA can rise from the ashes and be the amazing country that is.
I love Glock !
Have 3,4,&5 Gen and I prefer the Gen 5 but all good choice.
Great review as always
I’d like to see a 26 slide with 19 grip. But I’m gonna buy one of each anyways lol
Just buy a 19 magazine with the xgrip sleeve and throw it in your 26.
Yea I’ve done that. That’s why I’d like to see one made lol
26x?
Was going to replace my old 19 that still going strong but lot of rounds and use so I saw the 49 and decided to get one ordered and pick it up few weeks. Can't wait to try it out . I've always preferred the 19 grip over the 17 . Also they have a 26 Gen 5 MOS out now .
A 9 inch barrel on a G42 frame would be sick
Just go the full 16”. Super easy to handle.
I'v had one of these since 2018, I built it with Brownells G19 Long Slide Kit.
It's like the best of both worlds
Thats right word chosen as sig didn't go through phase 2 trials & without even trying was picked as new sidearm for us military self firing handguns
Stop crying.
I prefer the full grip like the 17, 34 and 45 but I get it. Favorite carry is the 43X
WHEN ARE THEY MAKING A GLOCK 42X!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glock 26 slide with a 19 grip would be cool
Glock knows there is always an audience for a new model
if you buy a Glock 17 and 26 you are set
the difference in length and height between 19 and 17 is negligible
good video, as always
Thanks Sootch for the very good video. With all these different Glock models, its getting too confusing out there.
CZ P10 SC all the way 💪🏻
My dream Glock would be a 26 slide with a 19 frame with a Threaded Barrel so You could comp or suppress.
Glock needs to make their own steel mags to complete with shield and psa
Its not trying to compete no need to
@boomee78 If they want to make more money they will. Glock is dead. We'll see what direction the company will take in the future with him gone. Hopefully being more innovative.
I bought my first firearm and chose the G49. Best decision i made. Maximum performance and concealment. It doubles as a carry and home defense. But my next purchase will definitely be the G26 gen 5. Great video!
The Gen 5 26 MOS made here in USA now . Love mine.
Applying for my firearm license ccw here in Philly. Can’t wait to get mines and than I’ll be a real APEX LEGEND can’t wait to get mines. I’m madly in love with it
Stick with my SIG 320 compact. Have it set up with the Wilson Combat grip module, Zaffiri precision barrel and Tru GloTFX Pro night sights.
Good review.
I still feel the G26 is the most versatile CCW Glock has to offer.
10rd
12rd
15rd
17rd
19rd
33rd
50rd drum....
Kinda hard to beat the G26.
Stay safe. Stay vigilant. 🇺🇸
This is really a flat shooting gun . Nice 👍
A G17 slide with a G26 grip would be a dream come true.
It would jump out of your hands
That's like having a giant [be nis] but small pair of balls
Glock 34 slide on a 26. No it wouldn’t.
Yeeeeah... Gonna have to disagree with ya there Peter
@@NoNo_IStaynope. Carried one since gen 5 dropped. It works well. I have a 17,19 and 26. I change the carry parts around all the time. All work well.
Back to the future...80's style?! (15 rd. capacities and longer slides. SIG P226...Beretta 92 anyone?)
Really not hating on Glock, (I actually love that they finally produced the 49!)
But my how things seem to come full circle...
Are Tubbs and Crockett too far behind? ;)
Psst! Hey Glock....Would love to see a .40 version of this model.
We need a 19 grip with 26 slide
I wish Glock would come out with something really different. Like a pistol carbine!
Does the longer slide make it flatter recoiling?
No
It doesn't have any cutouts or indentions for the magazines to be ripped out when it comes to jamming?
I hope they do something special for the g50.
1:04 I like the serration in the front
0:58 it’s easier to see the serrations on that frame
My G49 has the best trigger out of all of my Gen5’s.
Why haven’t you did a review on the Glock 29 and the Glock 30 GEN five yet?
🇺🇸
I'll keep my 17 mos gen 5
Name your watch ⌚️? Please thanks
Different barrel / slide lengths require different unlocking geometries (simple physics), BUT unlocking geometry is controlled by a removable block. In 40 years of reading about Glocks I have never heard a logical explanation why they can't make every [same cartridge length] frame, slide, and barrel interchangeable by changing blocks.
Also, limiting free recoil travel makes recoil WORSE.
Wow!
I thought this was about guns!
After 20 years of requests from the customer Glock finally has listened. What a joke. Everybody who wanted a 49 already built one.
I never go out without my Glock 19X and my Spartan Blade.
^Tactical Trout?
And when the Gen6 Glocks come out, they'll ALL be standard with MOS and night sights, plus the rotating barrel of the G46 used by a certain European police agency. At last, Glock will finally decide to innovate!!! 😅
The ironic part is by the time they released this gun combination everybody who wanted it already built one. What a waste of time, r&d, and a model number.
My hopes have been at the Glock 50 will be something interesting like a single stack 10mm, but based on the last few releases I highly doubt it.
I don't know why it's a struggle for me to get over it's ungainly configuration when the concept makes sense. The model 17 & 19 are more tolerable to look at.
how much is the Beretta M9, boss?
700$ now. Crazy it was sub 500 few years ago
@@GoProHD98 You might be able to find a military surplus pistol for around $500 but it’s used. Usually in good condition.
It is 2024….how is a Glock review 22 minutes long?
Skill
Move over G19 (THE ALL GREAT) the GREATEST has been assembled... Also I don't understand why anyone would want a SHORTER SLIDE & Longer grip.. that's UGLY as possible
Works alot for leo holsters for sitting in cars and drawing from the holster is quicker snd its jist as accurate
WOW, another boaring Glock
Pig hunting?
