Huge Marble Races Compilation ||

- A compilation of my recent marble races, eight of them back to back - not necessarily in chronological order. I wanted the sequence to make sense artistically rather than chronologically.
It is pretty cool to see them all together like this in a 25 minute video! If one race catches your eye, each race also has it's own video on the channel where you can see additional camera angles and replays.

Green was way in the lead and sat there waiting on purple... Boooo
Yeah not ideal. It's a trade-off. If we don't slow the frontrunners down the camera eventually follows just one lonely marble, which is a little boring. I'm testing ways to more naturally bunch them without being unfair to the frontrunners.

CGI asf! Wouldn’t really determine a true winner as it’d be scripted.
Nope. Created in Blender, using its built-in physics engine. I build the track, set up the balls at the top and let them go. The only scripting happens if the same color wins too many times in a row - then I rerun the race to get a different outcome, to avoid the appearance of scripting. ;)

Many thanks for the feedback. Yeah, you're right. In my newer races the action is much faster. These older ones feel almost like slow motion.

Haha. Not really, no. Sometimes when the same color wins many races in a row I will rerun those races to avoid the appearance of rigging. Other than that the outcome of the race is determined purely by simulated physics in Blender.
