Shipmaster is a bro... I’ve always wanted to see more cutscenes with him and Lord Hood interacting with one another, it was nice in that one cutscene in Halo 3 after the mission Floodgate.
Halo 2 had such an astounding campaign
Halo CE has such a direlect feel to it you feel trapped and isolated with a sense of mystery....Halo 2 is straight epic. Everything about it is epic. Halo 3 tried to hard to beat Halo 2s epicness without good material. I like Halo 3 but i like halo CE and 2 more.

@@nuclearjanitors Halo ce, 2, 3, odst, and reach are the only good halos. After 343 took it over it began to slope down hill. Well 4 wasn't too bad. 5 on the other hand. Goodness. They made it for the multiplayer and the campaign just feels like a extra. Halo was all for the campaign back in the day. That goes for most games, but now most games are multiplayer games, some don't even have campaigns. If you were to look at call of duty players on xbox, you'd see that most of them haven't completed the whole campaign. They might try it but that's it. Anyway, back on track here, halo 5's campaign did not feel like a true campaign experience. Some missions were "go talk to this person. Ok. Walk back and talk here. Ok." They were skimpy and the whole fight between Spartans was terrible. They hyped it up to be something huge but in reality it was just a slap.
@@conabish 4 and 5 were fucking awful. The feeling that I got while playing with my homies and beating the campaign together is Indescribable and we'll never be able to be achieved with any other game franchise ever again for me. I miss those days so much and there's so much of an emphasis placed on multiplayer and internet these days because it brings in more money so we'll be stuck with it forever
Great, not Rtas doesn't take over Shadow of Intent, Elites lose battle of High Charity to Brutes, and UNSC are all on their own in the battle of Earth, and there's no one to glass the Flood.

halo 3 sentinel beam is fricking overpowered as hell, it kills at like 3 br shots or something, it should be considered a power weapon, too bad you can't see it in multiplayer all that often except in custom games

You could probably do the speedrun strategy of dropping the spectre into the loading zone for the boss fight, because the trigger actually extends outside the building.
If you do that then the spectre and shipmaster will despawn
I remember this trick in the original Halo 2. If you manage to push him far enough, he will follow the scripted path line like the other elites. Actually helpful on a legendary run since he is immortal.
I took all four hunters with me as far as I could, bc I had never seen more then two together....

how did you get them through? For me, they always get stuck on the bridge part with the drones, and if I push them they just run back
@@bbarbiter I kill the drones first. Then punch the hell out of them, to the door, then go ahead and get the others, then go back get to punch the first two, to where the second pair spawns. If ya still can't get it sorry

This is wild I remember doing this when I was younger, took me so long and so many reload last checkpoints
For starters if you are trying to get the spectre through any doorway you have to fully damage it, then you'd need to have on the spitnuk skull (the skull that increases the strength of explosions and melees) to melee it through the door.
There used to be guides to do stuff like this because youtube wasn't really a thing yet.

I think a banshee is a more valuable asset in the boss fight. Could you theoretically bring in both?
Yes, although I've only ever succeeded in co-op. You have to have one person in the Spectre with Rtas, and one in the banshee. Then just time the two vehicles correctly into the cutscene wall. It's pretty tricky to get right, and if you fail then you have to basically have to start the mission over due to the forced checkpoint when regaining control after the cutscene.
Past that, imo singleplayer it wouldn't be possible due to the way that the game despawns everything that's not needed. The only reason the vehicles are able to transfer are because the player "drags" them through the transition. Rtas being in the Spectre is an extention of that. See the Metropolis Banshee trick for a visual explanation.

You can bring a ghost to the fight too. Kill some brutes out of their ghosts by boarding.

You can bring him, the spec ops elite, and the elite minor who lands their banshee under the scarab with a spectre to the final battle. I'm sad there are no grunt tags for this level.

Ahh, I remember doing this back in the halo 2 days. You can also climb outside of outskirts on an original copy of halo 2 and go some pretty neat places. They placed an invisible wall on the spot you use to get above the map on H2A
So that's how you can make him persuade on joining him. Nice.
I do something similar to this all the time and I prefer my way. It's not hard to do. You don't need to do what you did. I do it in single player. Just take the Covenant vehicles out then take control of the spectre at the end of the battle. Then drive Rtas and the spec ops elite to the second room just before you engage the brutes indoors. Make sure you blow up the spectre. Then they will fight with you for most of the mission (up until you find Johnson).

There is a load trigger on the other side of that structure that doesnt require you to jam the spectre through a tight space but in that case I assume Rtas would exit the turret. (Since the player has to exit the vehicle for it to work)
If you bring the spectre into the loading area right before the fight, it should still be there. Bring it next to Johnson and make sure he gets in. You can spawn like 3-4 Johnson’s with beam rifles
You can get the spectre to fit through the door leading to the Tartarus fight (maybe even the door after meeting up with the hunters), by breaking off the two pointer things where the passengers sit. It can be done on solo.
Hey General Heed I was wondering if you watch any Halo Speedruns? There's a quicker and easier route to the Tartarus room. With this method you could get Shipmaster and clone a couple Sergeant Johnsons to fight Tartarus!
Preserving the Spectre is one of the goto speedrunning tactics on this mission. What I'm wondering is whether it's possible to use the other trick wherein you drop the spectre off of that one spot on the ring of the control room which lets you straight up skip the interior fight and go straight to the final fight (and keep the spectre in the process). Seeing as Rtas didn't despawn the way you did it I assume it's possible and thus you can save some time on this whole process if you can get Rtas down fast enough.
What I'm also wondering is whether it's possible to get this to work on Legendary since you'd need to flip Rtas out of his wraith to do it. I'm not sure how his AI acts but if it's mostly the same then the only block is getting him out which I'm sure there's a way to do.

You know that on MCC you can do the whole first part with leading him solo but without killing the other elites. Just make sure you hit load points and he’ll eventually follow you. I got him all the way to the scarab part without any friendly fire.
What if you keep rtas vadum on the spectre turret and get the spectre in the cutscene

The whole time I thought you were going to eventually stop the spectre at some odd location on the tower and get a check point to be teleported inside. Nope you were driving to the real ledge hahahaha
Hey Heed I recently noticed in Halo CE that most if not all elites that spawn dead are minor elites with white armor. If you view them in anniversary mode they are normal blue minor elites. Be great if you could find out why that is. Thanks and btw I love your videos :)

If you make sure all the other elites are dead and none can go in to the control room then Half Jaw WILL be in the cutscene and WILL interact like any normal cutscene (I found this out as it is one of the many H2A easter eggs

What happens if you knock Shipmaster off the edge in the final battle with Tartarus? There are a bunch of death barriers down there.
Why do you kill the other elites? I prefer to fight in big battles.

Getting the Spectre through the Control Room entrance is a damn sight easier than getting a Banshee into the final act of Metropolis to snag the Scarub gun. I've been able to get a Banshee in there to finish off Tartarus, and I think I got a Warthog in there once.
Looking back on Metropolis, though - I've managed the Banshee trick several times, and I've forced a Warthog through the loading zone, but has anyone ever has success pushing a Scorpion through to the end of Metropolis? I worked with my nephew a whole day years ago and managed to get one INTO the loading zone, only to be shot out of the top of the tunnel (both the tank and the two of us) through a kill barrier near the ceiling of the map.

Hey general please I know we need more people to ask for you to consider trying it but please I've requested 12 times now. Please can you try to save at least 1 marine in the energy bridge room where the flood are attacking them. Once you save one or more will they follow you through the mission and up the lift to the big group of marines later on in the level. Please general. Its halo 1 mission 343 guiltily spark.

Player 2 didn't use the wall smash loading trick to get the banshee inside :/
There's a method of getting the spectre inside the area without a coop partner, same method for getting multiple Johnsons

Something that I don't think is mentioned here is you can't do this glitch on legendary because shipmaster never gets out of the wraith.
So i actually did it, couldn't fit the Spectre. But i Energy Sworded him inside...and i gave em an energy sword to kill Tartarus. He fell to the lower level so i pushed him again so that he can return to his duel with Tartarus.
Took me some time but finally finished the game without doing sht.
