- On the mission 343 Guilty Spark on Halo 1, there's a special mangled Elite body in a cutscene that you never see again anywhere else. Fortunately you can actually get to the body and on Halo Anniversary, it's a lot easier too!

Stay tuned!
Hey guys, here's the marine version of these mangled bodies!
ruclips.net/video/6jDRWcB_UUY/видео.html
Enjoy!
Generalkidd my favorite moment in halo 2 was when Johnson was rambling about regret in three different ways while in the pelican before the scarab shot them down.
do you really need to do all of this to see them? i remember seeing them every time i played this mission
It's fucking horrifying...
Generalkidd does this work on master chief collection
Generalkidd
The holes in their chests are unusually detailed for something you'd never see that close under normal circumstances...
Bighat The Star Nomad
Yeah I did noticed that too. ....hmm very intressting
Thel 'Vadam
Maybe the bodies were meant to be scattered throughout the map originally.
Bighat The Star Nomad bungie before did alot of detail in things don't normally you would look at like the warthog excalaration meter in halo 3
Bighat The Star Nomad and what makes it even weirder is the fact 343 is aware of this and improved on it
Thomas Houghton
I can only imagine if Human corpses were ever meant to be strewn about...
Halo 1 was a dark scary game, bordering horror. I hope Halo returns to this dark gruesome scary story telling.
True, but it got mostly inspired by the Aliens film, character, vehicle and name wise.
Yeah then halo 2 and 3 were full of epicness and action. Halo 4 was more a sad, depressing story (of course all halo games are full of epicness but in halo 2 and 3 it feels like the most things happen, because the elites leave the covenant, we see gravemind who tells anybody the truth, and all the people who die during halo 2 and 3)
Nathaniel Feldman have you seen halo two anniversary the flood on arbiter if you punch there arms off it shows this bone and flesh and in halo 2 original it’s not as bad but you see the concept
343 already crashed and burned the halo franchise
Not to me, did have it's scary moments sure but no other category than Sci-Fi suites it best in my opinion.
Fun fact, there's also textures in the original Halo game files that has the marines chests ripped open as well, sadly these are never seen in the game though.
Justin Debergerac
Guess that answers a question I had.
If I saw that in game, I'd be even more terrified of the flood.

Thank you, this is genuinely something I have never seen or known about in Halo CE whereas most things I see these days I have. Appreciate it.
i think it was meant for that marine in the jenkins cutscene who gets attacked early on by the flood and gets it pulled out of his chest
We should have an Elite surgeon simulator.
I swear to you that was a thing at some point
Yea we should.
Grunts and Jackals probably play that on there free time
Hahaha wtf
Roman Bellic yessss
I think the reason the Elite's have strange armor colors is for lighting. A lot of black and white sets had kind of weird colors,. and maybe 343 tried to have an entirely blue elite, but certain parts were difficult to see, so they changed parts of the model.
Keyes Impression: Oh shit!
Srg. Johnson impression: Looks like Hell escaped through his body to the real world!
Richie Kongwang I love your comment too!
I liked it but then un-liked it because I realized it was at 117 likes
If only 343’s Halos had scenes like this. Shame what decent content they cut out to get a T rating
+Irish Nationalist He's talking about Halo 5 which completely toned down everything to get a T rating. There's virtually no blood at all with human characters and almost nothing with alien characters as well. Since there's no playable elites in multiplayer, there's absolutely no blood shown in multiplayer at all. You also can't betray civilians anymore either. Now all this isn't really that big of a deal but it does feel like Halo isn't what it used to be.
343tard spotted
bK Fangz Douchebag who pointlessly insults people spotted. :D
Vincent DePaul Gotta hate hypocrites.
Let's all be honest here, Halo graphic novels are more graphic than the games themselves.
Am I the only one laughing at the Chief's fail grenade at 1:44?
Ah the Boom skull..
TheMadPolarBear
Same here xD
TheMadPolarBear and 7:12
The Chief went flying! Lol
No, you are not.
This mission was such a classic, especially playing through it for the first time
Steven Lee If you're going to get the one x, only buy master chief collection and reach. Halo 5 is like a completely different game
@TheBatFamilyforever that was a great description of the mission. I played it for the first time when I was 8. Few games have made me feel like that. It s a very unique game
Steven Lee it’s good up until reach. Reach is fine it’s just that there are some shit design choices. Everything after that is complete ass except for halo wars 2 which is an rts game.
Halo CE has silver elite's. Every elite that is by default dead is silver on the original graphics but they appear as regular minors on anniversary graphics. The mangled cut-scene elite is the only dead elite that isn't silver. If you play on the Level "Keyes" then you are bound to find them. One is laying down next to the banshee at the Gravity lift, another can be found lying on a rock by the third group of covenant you encounter and there is an especially large amount of them you can find once you re-enter the truth and reconciliation. The invisible elite's on original graphics are not silver. They are actually a light and chromy blue and you can confirm this by shining your flashlight on them.
everytime you say silver elite, you remind me of how shit i am at csgo.
Rus Toggamton lmao
Lolll
Rus Toggamton
Wait that’s me too
Hey its more like the elite was face hugged and it got a chestburster
Spartanm04 yeah it does aye
Spartanm04 pretty much
Yeppppp
An elite chest burster would be terrifying
Kinda makes me think that’s how some of the infection forms are created, they inhale flood bacteria in the air, and an infection form bursts from their chest.
7:12 , what the hell dude XD
Why do I feel like with this much detail they put into the elites chest, the intended for you to go in there
Asuren
They probably intended for elite corpses to be scattered around the map
Asuren what Bighat said, or they might've been left there on purpose to be found as a secret Easter egg
I guess its just cut content
You are like 2010 RUclips halo videos but with HD quality
Yeeted so true, that’s what’s so good about Generalkidd
According to the books, Sangheili have two hearts. I wish the bodies were detailed enough to show that anatomical reference.
It’s weird too cuz in the book, though that came out after the game I think, the dead elites they find are described as black armored spec ops types. Woulda been cool if 343 had made them black armored like that :)
Lol he got cut off at 13:28
When you take the elevator down from the starting area of the map, continue on to where the cutscene will start. But don't trigger the cutscene. Instead, backtrack and head back up the elevator you came down on. There should be marine dead bodies scattered around the map in the swamp area. I've also heard that flood bodies spawn on top of the map, but I couldn't get up there (aside from riding the pelican up at the beginning when no bodies spawn).
*poor nigga died of a heart break. i nigga been goin thru a lot lately :'(*
TheDankHaloRing *I... really miss my niggaaaa*
TheDankHaloRing *nigga what the fuck is this bullshit?*
TheDankHaloRing my nigga
I....really miss my niiiiggaaa
White people white people *I really miss my wigga*
I love that you can see Bungies inspiration from the movie Alien. I believe they made the mangled Elite as a reference to the chestbuster scene from Alien.
Also, there are silver Elites in Halo: CE. I know there are two invisible ones near the end of ‘Two Betrayals’, and quite a few dead and alive ones in the last level ‘The Maw’.
Great video video as always. Thank you for showing.
It would make sense that the Elite’s body would appear when you skip the cutscene because in The Maw, if you skip the cutscene on the bridge before the sentinels break the glass, the glass is still there, and doesn’t break.
OKAY
2:30 looks like a mini scarab almost
I haven't played CE in a long time, but I think there were silver Elites. They were the invisible sword ones, no?
+SirCereal225 Nah the sword elites were the gold elites, although in Anniversary mode I guess they kind of were silver
There are in fact silver elites in Halo 1 they're rare but they are in a few missions
They are like a faded blue and they are invisible but they are very weak they are on the third mission on Halo 1 when you have to save Captain Keyes from the Covenant Cruiser.
Dude play the game on legendary and there's a few in the game, I think that makes them more common. They're silver and not blue or faded blue.
Justin Debergerac they look like a silverish faded bluish mix on the old graphics but I could be wrong i have to play Halo later tonight to see then I'll like you know
This gave me nightmares wort wort wort!
The silver elites were the ones that were always in active camo.
1:43 I like how he talks all calm and peaceful while this happens
2:43 lmfao gotta love the Dead body position Animations
The elite lol'ed too hard.
Zac403AMVs N Stuff He heard the funniest joke and laughed too hard.
Exactly, then the rest joined along because laughter is contagious, like the flood.
Patrice Guidry like that Monty python sketch.
You actually find out what happens to that marine if you read the novels, though I don't remember which one off the top of my head. Was either First Strike or The Flood. Also Master Chief does something with him that you can't necessarily do in game.
X0A It was Jenkins
Master Chief takes his gun away, chews him out a bit and convinces him that he isn't one of those "monsters", and then tells the marine to go topside, giving him back the weapon.
no, hes not
Fun fact if you didn't know the reason why an anniversary it's kind of silver is because it actually uses part of the flood for the legs I think it use the flood model and remodel it
Vehicle collision damage is set really high because the physics engine wasn't made to calculate the speed of the vehicle when it hit something. So they decided to just make it instakill, I guess.
The silver elites are the stealth elites in Halo CE, the ones with active camo and no shields, you do see them.
You mean cyan because silver elites is ultra elite
@@Gojira-ch5bx There's no ultras in CE, the "silver" elites are just cyan stealth elites that look silver due to lighting
In the beginning of *343 Guilty Spark* if u throw boom skulls out of the plane, it will take you out of the map then walking down a trail of trees u can see a soldier (can't remember name) he will be standing there even though he was already dead during one mission.
I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure there’s a room you walk in on two betrayals where infection forms are all just sitting motionless on a mangled elite body and a grunt that may or may not be deformed lol. The infection forms don’t move or do anything until you shoot. You can walk around them and look at them up close and they don’t do anything. Once you kill them ur free to see the bod.
I always saw those elites back on the Xbox original Halo, I never had to do any glitch they were just there.
Love halo anniversary graphics but always thought this level is much better in classic mode
Oh! I just recalled a once in a blue moon glitch I got in Halo: CE for the PC. It was a pirated version that I was playing at the time, so I'm not sure if it's in the main game, but basically there was a time I rushed through the 343 guilty spark mission (I think on easy), and actually managed to beat the game to certain spots, and catch stationary flood infection forms spawning then exploding (presumably to create those globs of green flood goo you see on the ground). Not sure if you're able to replicate that sort of thing, but I'm legitimately curious to see if anyone else has experienced this before.
He busted his lungs
The Xenomorphs would've been proud.
After Silentium, the Xenomorphs would be terrified while the Flood lol'd and ate them. The Flood is a Cthulhu / Old God esque cosmic horror & existential extinction event level threat.
I remember in the anniversary version on the 360 I was able to find multiple of the elites with holes in their chests, which is kinda scary for someone playing halo 1 for the first time to encounter on their first play through when at that point halo 4 was my first halo game, which was weird for me cause I played mcc and never saw them no matter how much I looked
These mangled bodies appear on a mission. The covenant ones. In two betrayals. You walk into one of the rooms similar to where you crack one of those generators with your shields. There are infection forms on the bodies that won’t move or attack until you do. If you don’t attack you can ALSO examine the infection forms up close
IK
so i guess on a technical level, how you enter the room triggers what version is loaded. I assume the helmet cam version is by default ready first cause it has more models to load so its waiting ready to go and you step on the trigger to load the situation to cull the helmet cam models when you come to it the right way. but i could be wrong. just a guess.
Wait. All the elites in the mission "The Maw" + at the end of" Keyes" are silver spec ops elites
I love the way Heed says "important". I don't know why, but I do.
In the novel “halo the flood” I believe the elites were spec ops so maybe in the anniversary mode they’d have a differing armor variance that’s my assumption
Very interesting! I tried this on original once it took ages to get the turret up, and I couldn't be bothered to continue because I knew you would do a revisit one day ;0
D:
Rtas `Vadum were these elites under your command?
darth vader no I think they we're thel Vadam's command rtas vadum's people we're spec ops
I'm sorry for the death of your brothers Rtas. Fortunately, the parasite is no more... (no more)...
Well hi
Those Elites weren't under my commando, but every dead Elite is a fallen Warrior of Honor and glory
Would love a horror (flood) halo style game with you playing as marines.
This is awesome! I had no idea this was even a thing! I have a question though, is the door on the bottom floor opposite of where the crazy marine was locked? Could you theoretically go back to the beginning of the mission? O.o
Did this years ago, way back in 2006, just because I wanted to get back into the room after the cutscene, but when I did it, I skipped the cutscene so I never knew you could see the mangled bodies. Btw there's an easier method of getting back into the room. Do basically what you did, but do it prior to the cutscene. The door will actually be open so you can melee the turret into the door. From there, after the cutscene, the turret will actually already be clipped through the broken door, and you can just enter on one side and exit onto the other.
In this level there a part where there dead jackals and marrines together suggesting there could been a small truce to fight the flood
In halo reach on the part just before you go the rooftop and assist Emile with the phantoms on one floor a silver elite is holding two plasma rifles
So, did anyone else on their very first playthrough find the wrong elevator that disintegrated and killed you, instead of taking you back up to the surface with the Marines?
@GeneralKidd if you bring the turret to the door where the cutie scene start there will be 2 mangled elites in the room.
7:13 to 7:20 is my favorite part because you killed yourself and then you killed your friend
Man, if Bungie wanted to spook you, they can
10:37 it is a static visual mesh, no collision mesh or physics
I don’t know if you’ve noticed this, but the elite models and flood combat form elite models are completely different in Anniversary graphics. The designers were lazy and used the Halo 3 elite combat form, while still using the Halo Reach Elite Minor design for the standard elite. So, that makes them have literally different anatomy and armor from living to infected versions.
Don’t believe me? Look at the foot armor and shoulder armor between the flood model and the elite model. Halo 3 versus Halo Reach.
Can you bring back the puns
Jesus, at least take a good second to look at the mangled elite in the anniversary graphics
12:22 A elite once told me that jaws are not the only thing they have four of...
How creepy that the bodies of fallen human and covenant appear after you go back outside
Randomly thought of this while playing this mission. Did it first try! Awesome little glitch.
Edit: there is one silver elite that I know of. It’s when your heading to the control room for the first time. There’s a silver elite right before the main tunnel while you have the tank. Behind some covenant crates with dead marines
There's also a Silver Elite on Truth and Reconciliation. It's right after entering the ship. Turn around and look behind some crates. There is also Invisibility their, too.
Woulda been great if he actually focused on it and didn’t move around every 3 seconds
towards the end he gave us a really good view. Maybe finish the video next time?
@@alostbaron781 maybe just think about what the audience might want and not move around every three seconds?
@@God-saves2704 no
alostchromosome y no
Maybe just do the glitch yourself and see
If it's a model could you make the elites all look like that? Like have them running around trying to kill you?
Am I the only one that regularly stumbled across these bodies in gameplay regularly in the OG halo play through?
3:37 No fucks are given , to the marine
What of you use bump passion on that physico marine?
He can't move. He's fixed to that spot. I can't explain why though, perhaps General Heed can.
Mabe try it on the energy sword elites and see if that can do anything diffrently than normal.elites.I believe there scripting.is.different too
Ok nice easter egg but...
make sure you dont skip the cutscene
Lol That scene where ur friend tried killing the jackal with a grenade and killed himself comedy gold
It's also visible in Halo SPV3
You’d think that master chief would get attacked when he’s watching the video
Lore confirmed that the marine was taken by da flood.
there are silver elites in halo 1 but i believe that you only find there corpses. There is one silver elite in truth and reconciliation at the active camo.
Even if it's old it still looks awesome
Mmm, elite coleslaw
I was checking this room out today and there were NO mangled bodies to be found. Just flood running around in said room.
I hope it wasn't removed over time or something.
Never knew there were multiple Elite bodies in that room
This might just be the Mandela effect but i swear as a kid i saw the body in the room or a room before facing the flood
That's why this game has much of the gore because of this
4:44 that infortunate poor loser thing, I loled so hard
Rest in peace brother
In Halo: CE the stealth elites are silver, although I'm not sure if they also have blue armour.
I think stealth elites is cyan blue rather than silver
I really like your videos you make on here
i always wondered why the flood didn't turn those elites bodies into flood or even that guy who chef catches before using the helmet cam
Maybe those elites are like scientist elites or tech elites which would explain the different color
Hey man is your picture an HAR emblem from Halo Reach? I was in that clan online it looks just like that! So hell yeah.
That's super cool. Usually don't comment, but damn. Nice
General heed.....Generalkidd
Me: wait that’s Illegal
secret? that's the room with the shooting marine, and the bodies are just around. I've visited those and saw all the same but without doing the turret thing
Master Chief: I believe I can fly!
* Dies *
I remember doing this on accident not that long ago, I don't remember how exactly but your process seemed really complicated.
Looks like the elite spilled his grape cranberry
There's a silver elite on keys, and they're black ones on the maw
Im beginning to think that bungie got their idea from the movie "aliens". Alot of things from the movie are in halo 1. Like little references and easter eggs that are very similar
I Saw A Red Vs Blue Refrence (i Think) I Saw JENKINS On That Helmet and One Of The Names Of The Spartan From That Planet With Felix Was Named JENKINS
I swear this elite always showed up in the same room even in gameplay...
Can you stand still so I can see the details I don’t wanna pause cause then it gets bad graphics
