As a C3 owner for 2 years and having driven 25000 kms, I can vouch for the reliability of the car. The car might not feel premium but is built to last. Also the ride is something that wows me every time I drive the car. They have tuned the gear ratios of the 1.2 NA so well, I never get tired driving it in the city. Except for stop go traffic, it is effortless to drive in the city. It has good low end torque as well. FE is around 14.5 combined The car is packaged well. It has all the features I miss in our 2 year old C3. The C3 has been holding up really well. Completed 25000 kms so far. No major complaints for the segment of car. The ride quality just amazes us every time we take it out. The 1.2NA has good low end torque. City driving is effortless with a light clutch and no need for frequent gear changes. FE at 14.5 combined is not bad for our usage. I would recommend anyone going for the 1.2NA variants at the lower trims as the car looks awesome and good Value for money.

I have FIAT Linea (same Parent group as Citroen). In Linea everything is perfectly in place, drive is not exciting or boring but very comfortable. I'm hoping to upgrade to Citroen New C3 Aircross/Basalt this year.
That is based variant with less power than Baleno and i10 80 bhp maximum first get full information 3xo and Nexon has way better and powerful engine in tha price bracket 3xo base modepmis still the beast value for money under 10 lacks @@GamESIy

I am driving citroen c4 1.6 diesel blue hdi 2017 model in europe and it gives 30-35 Kmpl , drives like a charm . handling , suspension , practicality is good .. I have driven at 130 kmps speed over freeways on european roads in summer and snowy winters . Citroen is one of the most sold car in europe like maruti in india.

The thigh adjusted seats are gonna be a big game changer. Now everyone will follow, as usual. Apart from the industry first under thigh support, there's the curved and contoured rear passenger head rest. And the back tail lamps are extended towards the side to increase night visibility from side (a very good and appreciable safety feature). None of the reviewers see these things. They only mimic, copy, follow the rest of the crowd. ATLEAST DDS IS DIFFERENT FEOM OTHER REVIEWERS. You are unbiased.
Citroen is really doing well in terms of products and pricing. I have driven C3 both NA and Turbo and I loved it. It’s better than Suzuki’s tin can offerings. It deserves more love

I think their pricing strategy is spot on as per Indian maximum buyer spending on cars which is between 7 and 14 lac .. of anyone notices monthly car sales prices bulk sales pricing wise... They need good mouth publicity and marketing with numbers and they definately will find more buyers in coming years.... Real gem suspension from my personal experience during C3 aircross TD...and C3 hatch in punch prices more space and driving pleasure... Atleast get BNCAP ratings and results will help in more buying numbers...

You have done a proper review. But you could have given top speeds at each gears . Already you have shown 1 and 2 gears,1st max out at 53-54, 2nd gear max out at 93-95, I am eager to know at what speed does the 3rd and 4th gears max out at. Kindly mention it. Try to give in gear acceleration figures like 20-80 in 3rd gear, 40-100 in 4th gear etc.
5:08: At starting price point of 8L how come you can compare this with tata curvv. I believe it's true competition is with Nexon & 3xo. But they offer turbo engines from base model with 5 star rating and after market spare parts availability.
Ravi bhai, as always a very good review. Slowly Citroen is trying to give better options to the Indian buyers 👍 Torque converter can be a better choice. However, Cruise control can be a deal breaker.

Just last week drove on Agra Lucknow Expressway. 319 Km of delight with cruise control, not once I had to apply brake on entire stretch. Citroen please add this feature without any delay. I took test drive of three tata cars, 1 mahindra , 2 kia , 2 renault , 2 honda cars . expect seltos and city all of them under my budget . at last i drove i20 , immediately booked and got it delivered in 10 days . now you can understand why Hyundai impressing people . they have good features , nice engine and less service cost . compare to tata , safety rating is less but not as bad as maruti

No brother. Its India, you can't avoid overtaking from left however strictly you follow the rules. You will see large trucks occupying the rightmost lane of the highways and then running at 40-50 kmph. What option you have then, other than to overtake from left?
A great car overall but PSA Puretech 1.2 engine is infamous for its wet cam belt problems world over. I really hope they have improved upon its reliability of this engine.

Basalt looks very spacious and design is elegant. In terms of driving experience and ride quality Citroen is the best. Citroen makes the suspension for Rolls Royce and BMW. I took a test drive of C3 aircross a few days back and it's like playing a video game. Butter smooth torque converter at. Waiting for the updated version of C3 aircross in September. I bet if anyone takes a test drive of Citroen cars they will buy it for sure.

This Car is really good. However, there are major challenges which are restricting the buyers: 1) Lack of Dealership, Service Center, Body Shop nearby is the biggest issue with Citroen which is preventing the buyers to go for this brand. 2) Missed Opportunity with Basic Features - Cruise Control is the major missing feature in this case. Sun-Roof is missing but its not needed at all for Indian Summers and Climatic conditions. Not an issue at all. But Cruise Control is a major miss!

Citroen has to come up with more engine options. Europeans have stopped making diesel. Run cost of petrol cars is too high. If Duster is planning to come with strong hybrid in 2025, Citroen should introduce even now. I always see Citroen reviews and get so tempted to buy. But then, give up because of engine options. Features are secondary (in the priority order when compared to engine options). Citroen badging will not be a problem if they catch the pulse of the customer. Do you think, MG would have sold so many cars with only features and no engine options ?

5:08: At starting price point of 8L how come you can compare this with tata curvv. I believe it's true competition is with Nexon & 3xo. But they offer turbo engines from base model with 5 star rating and after market spare parts availability.

Thank you for ever so nice & practical review. In todays times cant do without cruise control. Its a must to even consider. Just last week drove on Agra Lucknow Expressway. 319 Km of delight with cruise control, not once I had to apply brake on entire stretch. Citroen please add this feature without any delay. The car feels well engineered and is pleasing too!!

I took test drive of three tata cars, 1 mahindra , 2 kia , 2 renault , 2 honda cars . expect seltos and city all of them under my budget . at last i drove i20 , immediately booked and got it delivered in 10 days . now you can understand why Hyundai impressing people . they have good features , nice engine and less service cost . compare to tata , safety rating is less but not as bad as maruti

Finally..... Same price ki Hyundai aur same price ki Tata ya Mahindra me baith jao.... Aur ek baar chala bhi lo. Antar dikh jata hai. 19-20 ka nai.... 19-25 ka

My uncle runs a multi car service and body shop in delhi ncr.
He has always adviced maruti suzuki car as per his experience and knowledge about engine refinement.
Since he also runs a body shop, he dislikes tata the most.
He recently buy a brezza lxi cng for himself after considering everything.
Even i find Brezza to be the best car in its segment.
Nexon look worst. Don't know how people are even liking this car.
Basalt look & features .. As per its price it's best in segment.. none is in d competition good work by Citroen.

Basalt looks very spacious and design is elegant. In terms of driving experience and ride quality Citroen is the best. Citroen makes the suspension for Rolls Royce and BMW. I took a test drive of C3 aircross a few days back and it's like playing a video game. Butter smooth torque converter at. Waiting for the updated version of C3 aircross in September. I bet if anyone takes a test drive of Citroen cars they will buy it for sure.

This Car is really good. However, there are major challenges which are restricting the buyers:
1) Lack of Dealership, Service Center, Body Shop nearby is the biggest issue with Citroen which is preventing the buyers to go for this brand.
2) Missed Opportunity with Basic Features - Cruise Control is the major missing feature in this case.
Sun-Roof is missing but its not needed at all for Indian Summers and Climatic conditions. Not an issue at all. But Cruise Control is a major miss!

Citroen has to come up with more engine options. Europeans have stopped making diesel. Run cost of petrol cars is too high. If Duster is planning to come with strong hybrid in 2025, Citroen should introduce even now.
I always see Citroen reviews and get so tempted to buy. But then, give up because of engine options.
Features are secondary (in the priority order when compared to engine options).
Citroen badging will not be a problem if they catch the pulse of the customer. Do you think, MG would have sold so many cars with only features and no engine options ?
