I put these on my 12" Bullet Proof lifted F150 because it get it's rear lift from some 10" Atlas leaf springs which are stiff as hell. Made a world of difference in ride quality. Since then I've put them on all my trucks as soon as I get them. They help with the towing on my F250's as well, nice and smooth.
Did this install and can sure tell the difference. Haven't towed my 5th wheel since but looking forward to seeing the difference. Also changed shocks to Bilstein 5100s.
My 2020 did the same thing on the window, in addition my running boards would go up and down at random ended up replacing batteries it's solved both problems. When the truck was about 2 months old.
I run the carli shackles. They help reduce the bed bounce. Also removing the lower overload spring and replacing the factory block with a tremor block helped tremendously. Combine that with airbag assist and it's pretty perfect. Running these trucks at 80 psi empty makes the vehicle nearly un drivable as the back end skips all over the pavement on the rough roads. I run 45 psi in the back empty. Combine all of these changes and the truck is pretty good. Lastly adding the tremor front coil springs gives you exactly 1 inch of lift. From the factory these trucks have 1.5" ish of up travel without a special package . Having exactly 1 inch extra clearance enables you to drive down a normal bumpy road without constantly engaging the front bump stops.
What year truck do you have? I was thinking of installing tremor springs on my 05 superduty and add the cari hanger. Imo i think i hit the bumpstops at stock height over the potholes in tx. Ride is rough imo
Cool video, I need to check these out. Thank you. Also, regarding the funky window problem. I still have it happen on both drivers side and passenger side, regularly. I have had my 24 F250 for a few months, and am planning on bringing it up with the dealer. Not sure what is going on with it.
If only my neighbor had heard of these he could have saved himself from future headaches. My neighbor had a beautiful Super Duty. Just recently I noticed a brand new GMC pickup in his driveway. I asked him what happened to the Super Duty? He replied that he still had it but put it in his construction company fleet to replace a worn out truck. He said he bought the GMC because the ride felt smoother than a Super Duty. The Super Duty rode too stiff. He also mentioned better gas mileage with the GMC. Many years ago General Chuck Yeager was hawking AC Delco parts. He would end the commercial with "Don't wait for trouble!" I got a feeling my neighbor won't be waiting for trouble very long. He'll be getting it sooner than he thinks with his new GMC. 🤣🤣 To ease installation of the washer stack, use a little super glue to hold the washers together.
great video and I am checking them out. I presently have a 3" Carli level on 37's and Carli offers a shackle replacement as well. Not certain if y'all have tried that vs these and what is the difference..
I have eyeballed these for years. My concern has always been adding to the long term maintenance schedule. That rubber is tough but it still has a life limit. Of course your stock shackle does as well but muuuuch longer and not as detrimental. Guys hauling heavy seem to be split on effectiveness of these shackles. I image the 250/350 that occasionally tows a boat…this is probably great. For my 15 350 dually I called Carli. Went with the add a pack to maintain load capacity, Carli’s shocks and all other supporting suspension, rear bags….unloaded she rides pretty damn good. Last part of the success I believe is I’m running 17” stock rims with 315/70/17. 🫡
Looking at your video a couple of times, it looks to me like the upper bolt needs 3 or 4 washers. 2 washers only covers the gap between the inside of the new shackle to the outside of the old. Look around 8:10. Just my thoughts anyways. Love the videos though.
@@atvtinker01 wow, I switched to 295 tires and running those at 80 my truck feels like it’s all over the road. Stock tires were fine. Adjust for load and they drive great.
The window kicking back down is a common issue with the in-channel window vent shades. Need to inch the window up and let it still for a few days to expand the window felt. My 2016 Ultimate did the same thing.
Hey, Have you ever fixed or dealt with the "superduty lean" ??? 2024 f350 platinum Tremor 6.7 It has a drivers side lean. I can't find anything on how to properly fix it. Everyone Ive spoke to is adding a spacer to the drivers front coil to try and correct the issue. Is there an actual fix?
I have been battling that same issue with the windows on my 24 F250. Have reset the mechanism several times and it continues to function as you show in the video. Very frustrating.
I have a 2015 F250 and when I go sharp bumps empty the rear has the rapid bounce that I can't figure out. Would this fix that issue? I have ownEd a bunch of 3/4 ton trucks and expect a rough ride but this is a different feeling all together.
What about a 2014 f350 Dually? Ride quality is horrible I know its a 1 ton and it wont ride like a cadillac but there has to be something to help with the bounce/hopping.
Great install and video. Looks like a huge reduction in kidney failure help without payload….Trying to figure out if these would work with my ‘22 F350 DRW and any adverse affects with a 5500# truck camper loaded (heavy payload). If yes, ARod would you help install? I’m out in Canton. Only drawback….My truck is only a gasser.😉
ARod, I have a 24’ F350 SRW 6.7HO Platnium Tremor. I tow a 18k 5th wheel every so often for family trips. The other day I put the AirLift LoadLifter 7500XL air bags on my truck. It took the rough ride and made it rougher but I knew that going into it but I am still trying to decide to keep them or not. Would doing this help get me back to a more typical ride, in your opinion? If you were here in Texas I would bring it to you in a heartbeat but man you are far from me.
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod Just finished a 418 mile trip from Dallas, TX to a stop in Scott, Louisiana before heading to 30A, Florida. Here is some great feedback. When aired up to 50psi the chucking goes away almost 100%. This was a HUGE difference. They are worth the little bit of ride quality loss. We all know that Louisiana roads are terrible, this made them a lot better, kinda…
I’ve had them on my ‘13 F350 dually for 6yrs and they really take the bite out of bump on a unloaded truck. Now don’t get me wrong It’s no Escalade but it’s much improved.
All the damn alerts you get every time over and over on these 2023/24 are annoying and they don’t remember the screens you had on last drive. The instrument cluster is the one complaint I have. The HUD is great though.

Just did these this morning. What a difference. Speed bumps no more of an issue. Much smother fide on my f350.
Super glue the washers together. That will keep them all together 👍🏼😊

Ditching the springs completely and going full Kelderman air ride is worth every dollar.

i have a 23 350 windows randomly did the same ford dose have a flash for that. Find out Monday when it goes in for 5000 mile service .
I use epoxy. E6000 or something along those lines for inbetween the washers.
My driver side window ( 2016 Superduty) has that (forget my zero) issue occasionally..
Roll it up in automatic and it goes to the middle…automatic..

Those are pretty cool. I wonder if they'll correct the rear end hop I get out west on concrete highways.
Nice tan brother. I might needs these
I’ve been eyeing these up for over a year now. Has anybody noticed any difference in towing capacity when using these shackles?
Hmm so would you prefer this or the carli hangers? To me this is similar to the hammer hangers for Tacomas.
