I’ve brought three of these from James for all our ZRX’s & categorically it’s the best value, most effective mod available. The engine is quieter, tighter and ever so slightly more polished through the rev range. Highly recommend - Stephen

What a great video! I like how simple the explanation and the demonstrations were. I am going to switch to a manual cam chain tensioner on my 06' Busa soon. Thank you!

Had a stock r6 tensioner fail when I closed the throttle quickly at high rpm. Bent four valves and could've been much worse. This is a great video and if the manual tensioner is adjusted in this manner, it will be a huge improvement over the stock tensioner. Thanks for this video.

Hey yall this is old I know but I have an R1 with a rattling noise sounds like it's coming from the timing chain n what not. But it rattles on acceleration and deceleration is this still likely a cam chain tensinor issue or something else? The noise hoes away when I get up to higher RPMs and higher speeds

Can only be done with valve cover off. Just not enough feel other wise. Good video.

Very informative video ! However I have a question according to what you said : "have to check the wear of the cam chain everytime we do a valve adjustment". But what frequence ? Some bikes need a valve adjustment every 16.000km and others all 24.000km
I would like your answer on this.
Also is your video specific for bikes on track or does open road bikes count ?

"Periodically, every time you do a valve adjustment, just check the cam chain tensioner"... Wait what lol, that ain't just a periodic check every so often type of job haha.. Shops charge like $500 to do one, and that's mostly all labor cost. You're average joe would struggle to even do one lol, although possible it's advanced. He must be talking about racing crews and stuff, I guess they probably do valve checks periodically, idk though.

Can you make the adjustment while the bike is running? Like walk it in until the rattle stops?

No! Turn it by hand. It's way too risky to slip a tooth
