Awesome detail, thanks for going to the effort. I've just got my machine and you guys will be my go to for parts/mods. From what I see, your online feedback is second to none, and this sort of video validates it. Thanks from Australia 🦘
I got a 22 yxz1000 xtr I do have slight rattle at my first initial start then it goes away so is it ok to hear this little rattle or should I be concerned. After my engine warms up it goes away then if my machine sits for s few weeks I first start it gets little rattle but then goes away am I ok?
Be very open minded on that oem is not that cut and dry perfect. If the install on a manual tensioner is done right for most bikes then it's fine and can most times be better than oem because the chain gets the same tension 24/7 through all acceleration and deceleration
I got the slightest rattle at a cold morning start up. 2022 yxz1000 800 miles. I've noticed if I drive a few days in a row it doesn't rattle at cold morning start but if my machine sits a few weeks slight rattle at start up. It never rattles again after it's warm. Is this normal just that slight little rattle for a sec or should I be concerned
Hey. Thanks for the video. I just picked up a new CCT for my 07 R6. Looks the same as the one in this video. If I just wanna swap in the new one, is there an alternative to zip tying the cams to chain?
Excelleeeent video!

When installing a manual tensioner where a hydraulic used be should the oil hole be blocked first on the block so there's no adverse oil pressure? Ty
It's pretty clear that the manual tensioner prevents the timing marks from lining up @5:00. So, ya. OEM it is.

After doing a complete oil change and starting it up, is that the timing chain rattling around for 2 seconds till it gets oil pressure then?
Yes that is correct.
I have an '18 with 2,500 miles and no problems. Should I leave well enough alone or should I remove my oem tensioner and reinstall it?
I would just leave it. 👌🏼
Thank you.
