- Hello everyone!
In this episode we remove the silicone that failed around the rear window, and replace it with a polyurethane product which dries as a polymer. It’s made by Sika, and called Sikaflex 221.
After that, I’ll show you how to install an aluminum cap made to go over doors and windows on RVs.

Another great product to use. Going to use it to seal the same windows you have. Also to seal the top of the bellyband and roof vent. Used to use it in the construction field.
Videorob, that’s awesome, Happy camping!
Nice job Johnny, I have done this to both my RV's. I have also pulled the paint off when removing the tape. My lesson learned. Happy camping.
Hi Roy, thank you. Do you still use your RV? I saw the pics of your old hotrod Chevy.
@@westcoast_johnny The Casita I still use. The Nissan Sunrader needs brake work, then she will be back on the road.
Hi Johnny! While the progress on our '78 is slow-going, we're hoping to get it on the road this year. Seeing your lovely Scamp is inspiring.
Thank you very much! I’ve learned you have to keep chipping away, a little at a time to make something a reality. I’d love to see your Scamp on the road this year too. 👍🏼
Great video.
Thanks Frank! 👍🏼
You should have replaced the windows and used butyl tape between trailer walls and window to make the factory seal again...caulk is just a temporary measure
I did use butyl tape when I installed the windows, there’s a video about it. The video your mentioning is only the drip rail being installed.
Hey, that's a cool Hot Rod Hoodie. Goodguys, where did you get it?
Hi Frank, I got the hoodie at a Goodguys Car Show. A dear pal of mine who does all the announcing for their shows around the country gave it to me.
@@westcoast_johnny WOW - you sure are connected in all the right networks.
