Tried to make these Steven and they turned out ok. I used gram flour and they were a little flat but still ok.
A good tip you mentioned how to cut the onion. Many thanks for sharing Steven.
Excellent recipe Steve! Way better than a batter style mix. Thanks for your other tips during the presentation. 👌🙏
Glad you liked it David, I learnt from the best ;)
They look amazing bro thanks 😊
Thanks mate ;)

I took cup of flour to mean a tea cup size, had to use a mug size cup of besan. Best I've made without a doubt but though the hand modeling is a lot harder than it looks watching you do it. Many thanks all the family enjoyed these bhajis very much.
yesterday I did these for the Khabib fight tonight but the problem is they vanished over night when I went to work. so I've had to do them all again, tremendous flavour.
Mark Croft yes once you eat one you can't stop!!
Do some people make these for the seasoned oil or base gravy?
Some do yes, as there's no point in not recycling it but my seasoned oil recipe is far superior ;)
How much flour did you use?
Enough gram flour to coat the onions

oil is too hot burning on the outside
Steve, whenever I hear the words "mixed powder" I cringe! Shop bought curry powder and spice mix. Today's restaurant curry short cut! You are better than that Steve!
This was a couple of years ago, I sometimes use bassar but I ca't even remember the mix powder day. Thanks!!
not enough thick moist chickpea flour in center, to stringy and dry .. and over cooked !!
Narr you got it all wrong! My Bhajis are legendary, even in India ;)
